There was me thinking the stage was gonna be on the reverse side of the north stand. With the banking around the back, you could actually create a half decent outdoor atmosphere if the music was loud enough and enough people turned up. Need some very large fences at the top though.
There is one issue that I haven't seen mentioned yet. Planning permission. Ok you bought a house near a below average league club and knew you would have to put up with alternate saturdays and some midweek games, but you also knew that there is no atmosphere at the ground so there wont be too much noise(or traffic). A permanent outdoor music venue is something completely different and if a planning application was made then it would take forever to get any sort of decision because of the objections and appeals process.

No, all fair enough Sing. I’m just sick of this bullsh1t, is it ever going to end?
To be honest, I haven't got a clue. We can only ensure that our own chilldren and grandchildren get the message apart from that we are at the mercy of society. This sort of behaviour I am certain is perpetuated from the family/social background(US Rednecks being a classic example) and it is never going to stop. The main thing that can be done by those in the eye of the media is to make sure that incidents like this are the exception rather than the norm and force home the message that it is not acceptable.

On a separate note what about Ollie Robinson. It might have been a long time ago and he was a teenager and all that, but FFS what was he thinking? It’s the arrogance and ignorance I don’t get. Nothing to do with me or my opinion, but as a white person I constantly feel an obligation to express that I oppose this kind of nonsense. I wish it didn’t affect me and it really annoys me that it does. Sick to the back teeth of these idiots and their bigotry if I’m honest.
Having not seen the offending tweets I can't make any judgement as to their content. It is all too easy to claim it to be the stupidity of youth, however in that time his views could quite easily have changed. Punishing someone for something done years ago I think is a bit harsh and I'm not alone in this . Oliver Dowden, the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, described the ECB sanctions as "over the top". He asked the ECB to reconsider the suspension, saying: "They are also a decade old and written by a teenager". Later, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that he agreed with Dowden. We all must do what we can to make racism and sexism a thing of the past. We will never rid The World of it, but reducing it can certainly be spearheaded by those in the media spotlight and sanctions must be made when applicable, however those sanctions must be sensible otherwise the governing body concerned leaves themselves open to ridicule and the message is lost. I have to say I cringe every time I hear racist comments over here(it is an everyday occurance) and I regulary have to point out to my kids that what they have just heard is not acceptacle even if their friends and more particularly their friends' parents use the terms on a regular basis.

Pretty sure Sing Cobb is on about the 2-2 in the play off losing season. 2-1 up after a screamer from Roy O'Donovan, before an own goal equaliser for Vale confirming their promotion by Lee Collins (rip). Remember about 5 coach loads of us being given police escorts to Stoke Railway Station to avoid all of us walking back to Longport through 12,000 Vale fans No, it was back in days before play-offs. It was the 82-83 season and we beat them up there 2-1 on the last day of the season, they had already been promoted.

Might pull a hamstring and have to retire hurt, safety first, every decent Test captain knows that. As a little kid brought up watching Chris Tavare, watching the ground staff with the heavy roller sets the pulse racing for me.
Don't forget watching Boycot, the batsman with the most birthdays at the crease in one innings.

I don’t know where that would’ve come, the top 2 successful 4th innings run chases at Lords in history are 344 and then 307. England’s fifth highest ever run chase anywhere is 298 (MCG). 273 in 75 overs with that batting line up, forget it, no chance. The summarisers got the ar5e because it was boring as bat sh1t.
The problem for me was that they were not even running easy singles, which to me in any form of the game is unforgiveable. 52 of the first 30 overs is a joke and also you are not rotating the strike.

Well I have to say I have never seen such an abject display of crumbling backbone in my life. Williamson gave England a very makeable target, yes it would have involved some risk, but the starting run rate of 3.17 an over was hardly taxing. Root and the England management have made themselves look very feeble in the face of a not too difficult challenge.

Utter rubbish. You are under no obligation to report a crime, and only deemed complicit if you aid the offender in some way.
Yes utter rubbish is what you've said. You are guilty of being an accessory by ommision, you do not have to have directly aided or been present, knowledge of the crime or intended crime must be reported, the exception being a spouse(except in terrorism cases).

It’s a JOKE lighten up a bit, the sun is shining, relax and your right and if you knew what I did you wouldn’t like him either.
Yet again trying to build yourself up with inuendo. I do hope for you sake that what you think you know is not illegal, because if it is and you do nothing you then become an accessory and are open to the same level of prosecution that they are. Obviously this does not apply if you are married to DB or KT, which could explain some of the viriol you exude.

I can remember a trip to Vale for the last game of the season. I decided to go late, so rode up on my motorbike and a nice steward let me park it in the players carpark. Met another Cobbler and found a pub. Vale were already promoted and we beat them I think 1-2, but I recall towards the end fo the game their fans lining the pitch and one of our players breaking down the wing was tripped by one of their fans. Zipping past the supporters' buses on the M6 thinking I would be back having my tea before they had even got the M1.

I asked a monkey hanger mate about Kabamba, he said he has the skinniest legs he’s ever seen and then added he wouldn’t swop any of their current strikers for him!
That's certainly not filling me with confidence.

I can remember a mid-week visit by Wednesday. They filled THE and the rest of the ground, I can remember the ones in the Kop waving and I looked around and nigh on every of fecker was waving back. Got shoved to the ground outside the gates and took a bit of a kicking, never been so happy to see a copper in my life.
