I can't quite believe the UK is only now introducing quarantine or checks for people arriving by air!
I flew back into Thailand from Kuala Lumpur in February and was greeted with a temperate check, gel and a face mask. The main airports here including Suvarnabhumi closed completely shortly after, only repatriation flights and cargo. Thailand today has reported 3004 confirmed cases and 56 deaths.
The virus has obviously been spread around by air travel but why the UK has allowed thousands in everyday is beyond me.
I have a beach hotel here and although the peace and quiet is welcome for a while a second huge outbreak will finish tourism, the airline industry and all the myriad of connected businesses.
As soon as China finally admitted the existence of the virus all flights boats etc. from China should have been halted. If this had happened we would not be in the state we are today. Oh and I would like to be one of your first guests when this is over.

Intention is important, as is context. I used to work with a Muslim guy who was a really good bloke and a good mate. One day he opened his rucksack and a load of wires spilled out and three of us yelled "Bomb!" and pantomimed diving for cover. Now, I wouldn't dream of doing something like that to a stranger and would consider it highly racist if I saw someone else do the same thing to someone they didn't know in the street (or rather islamophobic rather than racist, I guess). However, in this context we were all mates, knew his sense of humour and knew where the boundaries were. If there were any onlookers there it would have looked horrific, but in context there was no offence intended or taken.
I can remember one day while I was working in Bahrain, one of our lads, a Jordanian ran into the offcie shoutng Alah U Akbar and let off one of those indoor confetti firework things. It took ages for him to stop laughing and us to stop shaking.

Section 4A of the Public Order Act 1986 makes it an offence 'to use threatening or abusive language with the intention of causing someone else harassment, alarm or distress'. The offence is only committed if it has that effect. Originally it was also to include 'insulting' but this was removed by the Lords. This geezer has not been charged by the police, he has been charged by the F.A. hence the debate on here. Simples.
Surely in these cases this is the critical wording. The tone of voice will also come into this in any legal case. If I were to say to a Scotish friend who has just done something stupid "You Jock príck" in a jovial manner, then no intention can be infered. However if I were to say it through clenched teeth in a threateing manner then the law would apply. The issue here is that the words on there own are not racist, it is the context and the manner of delivery that are. What's next, the referee goes all snowflake because half of the crowd are calling him a wánker?

all I can tell you Sing is that a week ago I asked our agents to pick a pallet up from Warrington and deliver it to Victoria and a week later it turned up? That’s with all the virus thing going on? Go and talk to an import agent, it goes on all day every day. Won’t be cheap though.
I've had a quote of 425 quid door to door which isn't bad at all.

Anyone who is a shareholder in the club has a right to see the full accounts, not just the statement of accounts. However you would be legally bound not to disclose those accounts to anyone else.

Any International transport company should arrange this from Ceva Logistics through to Pickfords? However, a local import/export agent would be the best place to start? I use one in Oz and they collect and deliver to me pallets of stuff from as far apart as Thailand and the UK. I just pick up the phone and they sort everything. I am not sure what the regulations are regarding vehicles into Germany but make sure you have any necessary paperwork in order. I brought a car and tried to bring another both over to Australia and the story around what happened to me has served many people well over the years? Don’t assume it’s always straight forward, although I can’t envisage any issues transporting within Europe.
The paperwork and registering the bike are easy. I have a LHD headlight already(that was like trying to find hen's teeth). The issue is finding a company who think they will be able to get across the borders, due to the nature of the cargo some neanderthals at the border controls might not consider it essential.

I am trying desperately to find a company that will collect my KR1S from the UK and bring it here to the fatherland, as it is almost certain I wont be over there to ride it this summer. The NX650 is fun, but eff me the KR is just mental.

Update on my friend: he's feeling a lot better today. Still in bed and really tired all the time but now not feeling anywhere near as ill.
I know no one else knows him but I thought I'd keep giving progress reports as this is (thankfully) the only first hand account I've had of the virus so far and I'd guess most people are probably in the same boat right now.
Thanks for the update, it is interesting to hear about a case in "real" terms. I'm glad he is feeling better.

Bloody hell, we're all going to get infected by Baldy and GPC, I hope you two disinfected your keyboards before posting on here. Get well and be safe you two and that goes for all on here. I was working today and saw young people high fiving each other(you should be fúcking shot just for doing that), people chatting on street corners and people in works canteens sitting together like nothing is wrong. This is in the Peoples Democratic Dictatorship of Germany, so fúck knows what it must be like over there. There are increased police patrols on the streets and checkpoints on the roads, so hopefully some sanity will arrive even if it has to be by an iron fist.

Driving to work this morning, there appeared to be more vehicles on the road than last week?
They are heading off to do some more panic buying or say fúck it and go to the coffee shop with their mates.

On lockdown here, so I'm catching up on all the films I nick from the interent(no not that type of film). COD, Tombraider and Unchartered on the PS4. Some documentaries on The Vietnam War on you tube. Out for a walk(the chances of me bumping into someone are zero). Emergency supply run in the morning(more beer, fags and pot noodles).

You and I know that the difference between German and UK citizens regarding their adherence to Law, Order and any sanctions/punishment...
Very true, I think for once I can be thankful they are mindless robots. All non-essential shops here are closed. Only food shops, chemists, petrol stations and food delivery services are open.

At last some common sense. If you are caught out of then house without good reason it is a fine of upto 25,000 Euros and/or 2 years inside. The UK should learn from this before it is too late.

A friend of mine has contracted it in London. He's been to the hospital and had it confirmed and they had him on a drip while they were waiting for the test results but then decided he wasn't too bad and sent him home.
I spoke to him a few minutes ago and he says he's pretty much ok when laying in bed, apart from aching limbs and fluctuating temperature but when he gets up to move around he gets very tired and very out of breath very quickly. He also reckons his wife has had it but nowhere near as severe, although that hasn't been confirmed.
I hope he gets better soon. The worrying part is his wife possibly having it, but not so severe. There are some who will have symptoms so mild they will not realise they have it and this is how it will get spread.
