102  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Oldham (a) - 15th April on: April 15, 2022, 18:15:58 pm
Watched the game on the i-player from my Sunny caravan in Norfolk...

Lucky goal to put us ahead, but once we got the 2nd goal we really came alive. I actually cheered loudly when Appere put the ball in the back of the net first time round, I would love to see a side view replay of that because it didn't look offside in any way shape or form! Overall, much much better and against a side who desperately needed the points. Only got to look to see how Barrow got on...

Appere was outstanding today, easily mom in my opinion. Great effort from the lad given his confidence must have been shot after last Saturdays misses and 'reception' when he got subbed. Fair play to him. There's a decent player in there, I think most of us realised that way before today. Hopefully he will go on a run now, but for that to happen he must retain the support of his team mates who were getting in good positions to either receive the ball from him or give him the ball in space. Same X1 on Monday hopefully...

Frustrating that Port Vale won but Mansfield didn't so I live in hope that if we can beat Harrogate on Monday and Vale slip up against Bristol Rovers then a top3 slot could still potentially be achieved. Highly unlikely but todays result keeps the lights on.

My MOM too Shane, he was more than a handful, it may shut some of those on here up for a few days. We looked so much better without Lewis, McWillams had a fine game too, some great tackles and got forward more.

Hilarious afetr with the 20 or so 'athleticos' trying to get at the coaches , average age 12 average iq 12

For a group (THEHOTELEND) with fans all wanting the best for the club, you lot dunarf abuse each other a lot, some of the bile is spiteful, some of you need to grow up.
This platform has been ruined by this godawful thread

pinnock is the best wide player in the division . In my opinion he should always play there and not behind the front man . For me , that’s the biggest criticism of how we set up .

certailnly cant disagree with that
106  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: My mind is made up ! on: April 03, 2022, 13:01:51 pm
Totally agree Roger, could have easilly been involved in a skirmish yesterday as the majority of mansfield fans looked daggers at us, was attacked a few years ago whilst with my 7 yr old, was verbally abused when i drove up with hamster several years ago . Horrible people , up there with port vale and lincoln. The only time ive seen us play well was when we destroyed them in the playoffs only to be robbed by the worst refereeing decision ive ever witnessed
107  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Louis Appere on: April 03, 2022, 07:49:39 am
Funny how opinions differ, Appere is never gonna score when hes dragged out wide ,given that we have no width anymore,
Zimba has probably never played the loan role up front against bruising league 2 defenders.
and Eppiah is not a winger
I think Rose would have been best suited to the front role yesterday, at least he wins headers and free kicks

108  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Louis Appere on: April 02, 2022, 20:06:31 pm
ELEVEN games and 778 minutes without having a single shot on target
Hes a good player getting little or no service

Whose round is it ?
110  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Mansfield away 2nd April on: April 02, 2022, 19:11:34 pm
Brady was, he did send Lewis off which was very harsh.
No problem with the sending off from where i was sat, stupid reaction.
111  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Mansfield away 2nd April on: April 01, 2022, 20:08:53 pm
Big game this looking forward to the game but not the journey out of the ground on foot. lets hope there is plenty to talk about and that the game overshadows the ground issues as discussed by all the building, lease, legal experts on other threads (whats the carbon footprint of that thread that goes round in circles)
I think we may have found a decent front 2 in Chanka and Eppiah and would love to see then start, alas i think JB will have other boring ideas
112  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool 26/3 on: March 27, 2022, 17:01:37 pm
Agreed, the POTS table doesn't lie.
Although the only one I believe that should be a lot nearer the top, would be Jack Sowerby.

Yes and no, generally players that play the most games are most likeley to win POTS, Hoskins starts more than everyone so will get more points , totally agree about sowerby
113  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Louis Appere on: March 27, 2022, 14:41:30 pm
louis Appere has been a very good addition, works tirelessly , but needs a partner up front, great assist yesterday. he still young i predict a big future
114  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool 26/3 on: March 27, 2022, 14:38:27 pm
Finally got to view the game, thoroughly enjoyable. We really do have quality all over the pitch and think we might well be about to hit form at just the right time. Pinnock is starting to look a very very good player at this level.

'starting '  Roll Eyes hes been quality all season , sadly lacking from many in the team
115  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Club fans meeting for development on: March 27, 2022, 14:33:23 pm
KT cares about the club and it’s employees, ask any of them. I bet they’d score highly on any engagement survey.
Some outside development company (with no track record running a business of this nature) coming in would be catastrophic for them.

Cardoza 'cared' about ntfc, certainly put more money into the playing side.

They both care(d)  more about the land than the club Tony
116  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: March 25, 2022, 13:47:48 pm
After coming in, bells whistles. white board presentations, and ring fenced money why has Thomas. 6 years in started asking what the fans want. Surely he had a plan for the then rinfenced money and where it would be spent. Weve basically seen a picture of a car park as plans for the development
117  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The are we going up Thread! on: March 21, 2022, 20:59:57 pm
You booked a holiday that co-incides with the play-offs! School boy error. The only time to book a holiday then is when your team is mathematically relegated, until then, you have to live in hope of miracles.
Will you be at Oldham Bingers old chap, it seems like a lifetime since i saw you
118  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Gas (h) on: March 19, 2022, 21:05:47 pm
Coolcat, agree the ref was pretty poor, but he was for both sides. Also agree the support wasn't that bad, but not helped by the pure dross served up on the pitch.
Somebody needs to ask Hoskins if he fancies a game of football next week, because he didn't bother today.
Did Pinnock actually find a player on our side today from a free kick ?  Always seemed to put the ball straight into the keepers hands.  Brady and his team deserve every bit of criticism coming their way, he is running this team into the ground with his negative tactics. Brady is deluded and insulting the supporters by suggesting that the Cobblers dominated Rovers, Mr Soundbite strikes again.

Agree here,  thought Hoskins was dreadful again
