Spurs youther if this is football related.
Not sure it makes any sense as would be another loan.
Welcome back Grove, looking forward to seeing you leaning against the stand again soon.
The wall down that stand is covered in birds***

I don’t get the “spending other peoples money” bollox, they didn’t inherit or win the club in a raffle, owning a football club costs money, we’re not asking for anything ridiculous just a couple of L1 standard players which would give us a shot at promotion, it’s a lot easier to sell a championship club than a league 2 one and for more money. If they are going to be here for the next 3 years then they might want to invest a little to maintain their asset. We turnover £5.5m per year (ticket sales, shop, hospitality etc) not to mention little windfalls like Goode, Chucks, cup runs and I’m not even going to mention the Chinese money, I think they can afford to back JB in this window.
Not asking too much is it Not forgetting the extra revenue from gate receipts with increased attendances, maybe show some appreciation and invest. not asking for millions.

If I recall correctly, Karl started the Hotel End forum but at first it was pretty dead, his mate the copper (can't remember his name) and myself were the only ones posting regularly. It would have probably gone under as it was so rarely being used, however the main forum on the official site then died, and Cobblers comments degenerated into a advertisement site, which left only rivals. I spotted a few of the old sites regulars here and there and let them know about the new the Hotel End forum, many turned up on her in the next few weeks, then word spread, we had some t-shirts made and before you knew it this site was thriving, I think much busier than it is now but I'm not certain.
As well as the policeman, there was also Sid the Pig, Dr Feelgood, Bingers, Auntie, Badger, the late Jim Tomlin and many others that have changed their names (some several times) since. It was a lot of fun in those days, we were "friends" and arranged to meet up at different venues, ran a couple of trips when Linda (Dragon Lady) gave us all name tags so we knew who we were speaking to. I still have the marks on my arm from Linda's nails on a nerve racking trip to Hull that the Cobblers held on to win 2-3. Good times.
Nearly forgot Nottingham based Ralph, who called himself Ralap on here as that was the name on the chinese meals he bought, the guy couldn't spell Ralph.
I beleive we lost sid the pig last year, Kenny Dean

Probably in the wrong section, however, as bingers mentioned the old guard, i tried to remember a few of the originals of the hotelend. I know when the old club messageboard closed down, Karl started a new one, myself , marvo, Badger dragon lady and terryfenwickatemyhamster, were original members, id say 20 years ago. The 1st messageboard trip took us to Boston United in a minibus with me and fenners doing the driving. I recall, Marvo Gibbo, Stoney,Moulton Cobbler, aaron, Karl, Dragon lady and daughter, and Burberry Boy. {sure there was more] the following year managing to fill a double decker to Darlington via the highest pub in England (the Tan inn ?} The messageboard grew and the traffic at one point was immense especially around the time of the ManU game. It would be nice to see it thrive again as it once did

Well if all we are going to do is exist, without any intention of bettering our status, I have to ask, what's the point?
"Better to Try and Fail than Never to Try At All"
Welcome back Ian (Grove).
cheers John

Been told that Burge can leave to free up wages, i think weve peaked as far as league position is concerned, despite money being made from bigger crowds the club are not as ambitious as the fans. Theyll be after your season ticket money for next season before long. with the current players under contract, next season may be a bit s***.

Lots of inaccuracies on there, probably why there's no name on it
I love the bit about transparency yet no name of who started the petition, it could well open up another can of worms having made accusations about Andy Roberts

It was his Trump card and he played it to perfection… He’s been one step ahead the whole time. That’s why I never get involved in the minutia. With all due due respect to those that do. You are missing the point. He has managed to rings around the Trust, because they sit in rooms getting bogged down in detail, rejoicing in every stone they upturn, whilst he just gets on with it.
Just as he lights the touch paper and lets it go. My experience of very successful people is not their intelligence, or their ability to absorb information. It is their ability to act quickly, trusting their intuition and they are invariably risk takers. Not pondering or particularly deep.
I suppose what I’m saying. Is knowledge is wonderful. But it is only knowledge, not productivity..
sorry Nige that bits hilarious

I can't say I know anything about this guy but the reaction of the fans of a player's previous team is often a good barometer, and on that basis he sounds like a very good addition.
Works both ways , Walsall fans said Roberts was s***, we have a good record of turning players into s*** though
