We do not want or need a 'name' manager who people nationally will have heard of. Holloway would be an absolute circus and for me he is vastly overrated as a manager.
Equally we don't need a lower league journeyman like O'Driscoll.
We need someone who knows this level, has good contacts and is very hungry to prove themselves. They also must fit in with the culture and playing style of the club rather than start all over again and wipe the slate clean.
Not sure if it made the Youtube edit but KT said in the interview on Player that he'd be looking for a manager of a similar profile to Wilder at the time of his appointment. I'd personally take that to mean pretty much exactly what you listed above. He also said it would ideally be somebody with a similar playing style.

As I've said before I think that Neil ardley from Wimbledon would be a perfect fit but as they're involved in the playoffs that might drag on too long. I was also thinking of ainsworth but I'm not sure I could face his defensive style of play - depends on whether he's able to adapt his game plan if his circumstances change
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Ainsworth. I agree with your hunch - I think his tactics are largely a result of his circumstances rather than his ideology. In terms of results he's done a very good job with Wycombe given their budget.

I do agree with this. But generally speaking talk sport are not far off the mark. Coupled with being odds of 1/8 on.
BUT for argument sake if he was offered 10grand a week to manage them then that changes everything!
Yeah, he went 'odds on' for other jobs but only about 10/11. 1/8 isn't a price you usually get to without some genuine foundation (which isn't necessarily to say it's a done deal of course) even in these volatile 'next manager' markets.

What? Plucking sub-standard players out of France and bringing them up to the North-East for yet another relegation battle?
Head Scout officially but widely acknowledged to effectively be DoF in all but name. Just saying, it would be strange for him to miss one of the biggest games in the history of Newcastle given he's a massively influential figure there!

Just bought a copy of tomorrow's programme and it reveals that KT has invited graham Carr along to present the trophy. Brilliant gesture IMO. A real link between past and present. Altogether now.... He's got no hair, But we don't care, Graham, graham Carr That's at the end of season dinner later in the evening presumably? Surely his role at Newcastle dictates he'll be a bit busy on Saturday afternoon?

dont know if you have noticed, but we have gone up a league.
we struggled against pace this season - we will struggle more next season.
as we are both in league one next season, i will use MK dons away as the example, where one of the stand out differences in the teams was the pace they had compared to us.
i would say its the only thing we havent got in our current squad, no one is blessed with pace - none of players can go past others and stay past them - best bet is holmes who beats someone, then jumps into them to win free kicks.
Thanks for that, I had absolutely no idea we'd be playing at a higher level next year. I'd personally argue we need to be better rather than quicker but each to their own.

all questions should've forced him to explain why he believes he can wait until the hotel and conference centre is built before work starts on the ground in what will possibly 2021 or later. If he has a genuine reason for these serious delays then tell us.
I would hope he's 'delaying' at least until it makes economic sense to prioritise expanding beyond 8,000. If you spend even 2 minutes considering the realistic numbers involved it's impossible to sensibly come to any other conclusion.

Are you playing devils advocate or is that your opinion without factual evidence?
Aside from the order of who was 'after' whom not being publicly clarified the summary from Hallam is pretty much exactly what Mr Evans himself has said on numerous occasions. It's only the consent being questioned in the retrial, nobody on either side is debating the events that took place.

I'm looking forward to seeing who CW brings to the club in the summer.
Most of his transfer work has been pretty shrewd and we have ended up with some gems, or for a change loan players that can actually do a job rather then be a luxury.
Anyone think we have a chance of getting back, even if on a season long loan? Was as impressive as Moloney when called upon and gives us two fantastic options at RB depending on form.
Think he could cover at CB as well if needed?
Adam Yates?

PFA list? Do they still do this?? I think Omar Riza is still on it.
Unfortunately you need to be a registered PFA member/affiliate to access this now. Shame as it's been a useful tool for rumour-mongers over the years!

Interesting point. Does he or his pals have the money needed for all the above to happen. I have my doubts tbh.
My Guess is KT will sell the club within the next 3 years hopefully leaving us in a better position and making a tidy profit.
Well, I'm almost certain he isn't personally financing the club. He made no secret of not being 'the money' at Oxford and hasn't ever claimed to have personally financed the purchase/operation of us either, he's the Chairman rather than the owner just as he was at Oxford. Not for a moment suggesting there's anything wrong with that arrangement but purely out of curiosity would be nice to know who are backers/investors actually are!

With promotion achieved we can now look ahead to future priorities.
Off the field I believe the extention to the back of the South stand needs to be in for next season.
Secondly the executive boxes need to be fitted within the next 6 months, plus the disabled facilities.
The Conference Centre is the longer term revenue generater (and Hotel).
Now it becomes more of a wish list. At some stage we must have a Training ground and finding the freedraining land required will not be easy.
If we are to sustain League 1 football and challenge for the Championship then the North Stand extension and the corners filled in will give the minimum capacity that we need.
I know it easy spending other peoples money but we have a rare opportunity to sustain the success achieved this season.
All this spending does not even take into account the increase budget for the players required.
Good luck KT and I look forward to hearing your plans for the future of NTFC!
Is it KT's money? Bizarrely nobody really seems to know/care where/who the money is coming from...
