2  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Company names on: December 11, 2015, 06:46:35 am
Northampton Town FC is not the football club - this Northampton Town Football Club Limited (The).

Northampton Town FC along with Premier Sports Developments were two of the companies who owned shares in us. These were then owned by the Cardozas.

A bit like how KT set up Northampton Town Ventures

There must be a tax advantage doing it this way.

What next CDNL being renamed Ticket Calgary?

Is he appy
4  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Company names on: December 10, 2015, 05:26:11 am
Important to note this was one of the companies the Cardozas set up and was on last annual return one of the major shareholders.

Ticket Globe was another Company set up to take control of cdnl

Difficult to feel too hard done by with the allocation, considering we host Pompey a week later with the Cardoza concrete memorial staring most of us in the face.

Difference is Luton have given us 10%. Away fans get 16% at moment!

Was this story smuggled onto site? I don't think that the late entry bid was the Gang of Four - I think it must have Been Jed "as you know I'm a Luton fan" McCrory

I bet the Flaming Grill pub are hoping they haven't tempted fate too much with their name!

Flaming Grill is also owned by Greene King via their recent acquisition of Spirit Pub Group.  I seem to remember that the Tavern was not always Greene King, something at the back of my mind was it was once operated by someone else.

Looking at the photos the only part to survive is the rear section of the building.

If only NTFC could get permission to erect a beer tent at the ground.

TV guide on my box is still saying Stourbridge

Sloppy performance.  I thought Cresswell played like a drunk Guy Branston.

Holmes for me changed the game, keeping him fit is key.  The script is set for him to have another worldy v pompey.
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Staff all paid on: December 03, 2015, 20:49:10 pm
Good as well they were paid a day ahead of when told - small sign of KT underpromising over delivering

Hamilton's Water Breaks! Classic Partridge. The Saniflow Chemcal toilet can cope with anything, and I mean anything"

Producer: CALL CLIFF THORBURN
AP: Cliff Thorburn is primarily a snooker player, not a presenter
Producer: But he's not under a cow.

In past, think it's now hamiltons which I cannot get out of my head the Akan partridge episode when he had a cow chucked on him!

Thought jeffs got taken over by bowens years ago?

What about Carr's Bar?  All the staff have NTFC name badges on?

What?? Sure he likes a moan, and dishes out some stick. Just proves he is a winner for me, a Roy Keane type who won't take second best. Not a bad trait to have for me, we have had too many nice players over the last few years, how many of them have got a League Winners Medal or even a promotion on their CV. I know who I would want on my side in the trenches.
Rubbish! The gobbiest player is Smithy! He is always moaning at either his team or the referee.
Buchanan is the most all round left back I can remember for a long time.

Notice Jim Rosenthal was sitting two seats from KT yesterday (picture in C&E).

He was also at Oxford during KT's time.

Jim Rosenthal is a big Oxford fan, in the past he along with David Bower was part of a gang of four who tried to oust Kassam.

You're correct, Herts, of course. I will have words with my research team. Nevertheless it's still a bit of an anomaly. And a lot of clubs at the top also seems to be the ones with the bigger budgets this year, which I guess isn't so surprising - need to mention Accy again (despite the fact that they have had some degree of new investment) being the only oned really punching above their weight. The rest of the season should be very exciting.

One of the bigger budget clubs are Luton.  If rumours are to believed Mackail-Smith is on a fair wedge - suspect it would cover a number of our players wages.

Another way of looking at our away games is where the sides are in the "home" table.

We have played 4th (Notts), 8th (Barnet), 9th (Accrington), 11th (Wimbledon), 12th (Crawley).
Of the bottom 3 we have  played 0 away.

In terms of home games - at Sixfields we have played of the top away sides (we are 8th) just 3.

So perhaps we have had some easier fixtures who knows.
