Everybody knows we need a bigger ground, I suspect that's a bit of a slur regarding the intellectual capacity of the current chairman.
Strange you should bring Cardoza into the argument but it was he who passed up the opportunity to increase the capacity to around 10,000 and instead lumbered the club with the current monstrosity at the same time making it financially far more expensive to achieve.

I'm fairly dull so I will attempt to bore everybody.
Getting FACTS from the census leads a lot of people up the garden path, they take figures relating to large Administrative areas which are frequently named after the main town therein. The list of Cities that shows the population of Birkenhead actually relates to The Metropolitan Borough of The Wirral (as well as it being a town rather than a city).
I think the biggest distortion is Wigan which is around 100,000 but the Metropolitan Borough is, from memory, pushing half a million as it covers a huge area and several other towns. Some places, like MK and Peterborough have also extended their boundaries into the surrounding countryside which bumps up the figures, hence the "Welcome To Milton Keynes" sign by the side of a field on the way to Bedford.
Depending on which list you look at Northampton is somewhere between the 20 to the 24th largest City or town in England and very similar in size to Reading.
This means Beds argument about potential has some merit but that's another fairly boring story and what has this got to do with the game at Charlton being called off?

If you google University of Northampton Archive Collection it is all in there Worthless. Interesting stuff. When I started at the new Technical High School (later Trinity High School) the building wasn't finished so we were using parts of what was then the Northampton College of Technology in St Georges Avenue.

Less is more in my opinion, classy rather than cheap.
As for reducing the distance between the hoops, the logo and font are as per the University's design, the only way to reduce the distance is by proportionally reducing the size of the logo and associated font.

So Stevenage announced that they are open to investment on 16th June. No news since about it being taken up or new directors on Companies House Website. Even if there was interest isn't it rather quick for it to be sorted and make a difference to their budget?

Barely a couple of days since the JR verdict and KT is already faced with demands on how to complete the East Stand, fairly predictable I suppose, but before all that kicks off could anybody shed any light on how we have ended up with such a bizarre structure?
My recollection is that Cardoza wanted a redesigned cheaper stand than the original but I’m not sure that explains why it has 3 storeys when two would have done and a roof so high as to be practically no use.
Apologies as somewhere in the 2000 pages of this thread it’s almost certainly been discussed but I still despair every time I look at the plans.

For every bright idea that comes to fruition there are probably dozens, if not hundreds, that fall by the wayside.
However without the bright ideas then we would end up with nothing save for the safe, boring mediocrity that has been inflicted on the town of Northampton for decades.
It is easy to cross the thin line of realism into that of negativity, to pour cold water on some ambitious plan. I wonder what the reaction of some on here if they were located in the North East when some lunatic suggested something called The Angel Of The North?
In all probability it won't happen but the relish to pull it to pieces irritates me somewhat.

I can understand Deepcuts attitude towards constant criticism of referees, our knowledge of the rules is sometimes flimsy at best but I'm not sure that the FA constantly closing ranks to defend extremely dubious decisions does them any favours.
In my opinion Colina was the best referee primarily because he simply got the vast majority of decisions right and applied them with common sense.
Some of the Refs at Sixfields this season have been awful and it makes me wonder how they are assessed these days. I couldn't find anything doing a quick internet search but seem to remember from a few years ago that it was divided into sections and thinking at the time that how various things were handled seemed to be more important than getting decisions correct.
Perhaps Deepcut could provide some up to date info on the process?

You are making a few assumptions Boots!
I am simply saying that attacking substitutions have a habit of being made too late and that if I were Eppiah then I would be a little cheesed off at being brought on with just ten or so minutes to go.
Nor is it a case that I am saying Lintott is better than McGowan at this stage in his career but having put in consistent and decent performances I do think he deserved to keep his place

If there is a choice of trying to bring the ball under control or kicking it first time upfield it always seems to be the latter. If there is a choice of trying to beat a man or making a pass it always seems to be the latter. Is it the players lack of confidence or are they doing as instructed?
I can't help feeling that some of the subs must be getting a little pi**ed off, Lintott who has done little wrong being dropped and a couple of the others regularly being brought on far too late to get into the game.
Have always liked Brady but it's getting to be an extremely frustrating watch.
