The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Away Travel 2015-16 Season

Good year for my fellow London Cobblers - Barnet, Dagenham, Orient and Wimbledon. More London clubs than I can remember for a while.
Stevenage, Luton and Wycombe just a short hop too.
Us London Cobblers should try and do a get together and go on away trips further afield providing one of us is willing to drive or actually owns a car for that matter. Leyton will be the most convenient league game for me ever seeing as it is just down the road from where I live.

Reading through these comments is making me lose my faith in my fellow Cobblers supporters, or should I say "supporters"? I swear some of you are trying to make it your life's work to bring down the club and/or just depress everyone. I don't even live in Northampton but it is clear to see that work is going on in the East stand as well as the West. The club keeps us updated very regularly on pretty much a weekly basis and numerous people on here have stated that people are working on the sight.
Also, who gets these cost figures of £11 million or £7.5 million? Are you privy to the clubs accounts and know exactly where every penny is going? I'd be careful if I were you or your job might be at risk or I suggest you stop talking out your backside.

This is the one of the few times I have been happy to see people arrested. I hope they get Blatter and that this marks the end of FIFA's corrupt reign of the game we all love.

On transfers Wilder has occasionally got it wrong (Connell, JJOT, Sinclair and Alfei) but he also bought in Moloney, Holmes, D'ath, Rico, Taylor, Byrom, Cresswell and Diamond to name a few. Lets see what he does in the Summer and judge him on that. If it's very good we will be in League 1 for 2016/17 and if not, he will need to find another club although it hopefully won't come to that.

Well that would have left most of us screwed for the Burton game then... How about if you can't speak coherently or walk in a straight line, you can't go in? Or if you do get in and start behaving like a knob, you get kicked out?

Definitely need a new GK, wouldn't keep Jalal but Duke still has his uses as a shot stopper, even if the kicking is painful to watch at times. Defence is where we need to look next season and even then, it just needs to work better together and with the rest of the team. We also need someone who is a good backup to Richards and is aged somewhere between him and Toney.

it's great to see Notts County back to where they belong - with us lot. I wonder if Sven and Sol are still available? I always thought Leyton Orient would struggle when Hearn lost interest but they seemed to be doing ok until last season, I expect Russell Slade will want to take credit for that.
Haha, Sol is electioneering with the Conservatives (make of that what you will) but no idea what Sven is up to nowadays. I also have a friend who is at Nottingham University so will be a great excuse to go and visit (assuming the fixture list is nice to me for once). Seeing as I live in Leyton, I imagine there will be a few glum faces in the pubs around here for some time. Doesn't help that the owner knows nothing about lower league football.

Looking at the teams that have just been relegated. its going to be a tough old division to get out of next season. Maybe, but we might be blessed in that the owners of Leyton Orient and Notts County don't seem to have a clue about how lower league football in this country works. On the plus side, I can easily get to see the Cobblers against the relegated teams quite easily except Yeovil.

With this mixed season now over, what should the plan be for next season? Who should stay and go? What lessons need to be learnt as well as anything else that you guys might think will be important for next season.
The most important thing for me is that we have to stop this worrying issue of where we will only play well for 45 minutes. I know the team isn't always going to be on it for the whole 90 minutes, but too many points have been dropped and games lost as a result of this. That and a stronger defence and a better away form (last one was against Shrewsbury) should see us flying to League 1 next season.

I keep seeing figures about how much money clubs made or lost last season. Would anyone happen to know what the figures are for our beloved Cobblers?

Being slightly cynical, I'm expecting something regarding the shell of a stand being announced just before or at the fans forum in a few days time. No proof to back this up but even I as a loyal Cardoza supporter, am rather annoyed over the lack of development on the East Stand.

Without wishing to sound like someone saying "I told you so", which I probably will, Hartlepool were always going to come out fighting and indeed, it hasn't been a great place from our perspective. All teams have bad days and I hope a solution is found before Saturday. Well done to the 132 who travelled up on a cold February night and best of luck to the team and 1000+ fans going to Mansfield on Saturday. I would go, but I'm in Norfolk.

Being relegation threatened for the most of the recent seasons, we know better than most how teams like Hartlepool will play. They're a wounded bear at the moment and they will take you if you underestimate them.

Personally, I want six wins in a row. We have a great run going and our next game is against the bottom club who are 9 points from safety. What could possibly go wrong...

When was the last time we won 5 on the bounce?
Must have been when Sammo took us on that brilliant run of form in the 2nd half of our first season back in League 2. Never seen us win more than 5 since I've been following the Cobblers so lets hope Mansfield aren't going to be tough opposition

No need to panic. I'll bet £5 on Northampton to lose just like I've been doing since after the Tranmere game. Would love to get a 5th win in a row.
