1  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Gilly @ Home 13th Feb on: February 14, 2018, 09:44:03 am
Is Hilda too much of a liability now he has been sent off FIVE times in 26 matches?
2  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: J F H on: February 14, 2018, 06:14:45 am
After sleeping on last nights non-performance I am just as frustrated.

I thought JFH looked like a person managing an UNDER 9's side, shouting out so many instructions, so regularly, that players have no chance to think and learn for themselves.
I wish Jimmy would sit in the dugout and let the team carry out his pre-match instructions and only occasionally tweek plans as the game unfolds NOT every 30 seconds moving players around!

Tactically I would play Foley or McWilliams with Grimes as holding midfielders and give more support to Long (or VV) with JJ , Crooks and Ariyibi...............................................and let them play a group of games together.
He seems to change the team too much dependant on the opposition instead on the emphasis on them worrying on how we play.

Anybody notice that Dutch windmill standing on the touch line barking out orders every 30 seconds to the bewilderment of the players?

If you had a 'player of the month' who had just scored 4 goals and then in the last game created 3 goals would you move him more defensive so he does not effect the game so much?
I feel sorry for Foley (a central defensive midfielder) who is played on the wing ahead of the wingers we signed!

The home performances against Rochdale and Gillingham are not acceptable!

Is JFH the new tinkerman?
4  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: TRUST STATEMENT REGARDING EAST STAND DEVELOPMENT AT SIXFIELDS STADIUM on: February 10, 2018, 05:47:22 am
One mans confidence on the long term needs of ntfc may fall way short of anothers expectations?
The fact that you fail to notify the many trust members and more importantly the supporters of Northampton town fc as to what it is you believe to be so beneficial to our needs, makes this statement invalidated.
I trust you will amend your previous post stating all these benefits that we can look forward to?

Regards
The entitled one😉

Dear 'Jonah' Beds,
Could you please share with us exactly what you have done, in time and effort, to progress the future of NTFC ...........................except moan!
5  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: TRUST STATEMENT REGARDING EAST STAND DEVELOPMENT AT SIXFIELDS STADIUM on: February 09, 2018, 16:49:12 pm
Thank you Roger for the update and for the time you and fellow Trust representatives put in for the benefit of ALL Cobblers fans.

Let us hope NBC complete their process by Easter..................................................2018!!!!
6  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: February 08, 2018, 10:17:41 am
He also states that a paper is being prepared by Council Officers for the Cabinet but does not know what date it will be considered.

He asked fans to contact their local Borough Councillor. As I live outside Northampton I am unable to contact a Councillor but I hope local fans make the effort and contact local Northampton Councillors to get a date and put pressure on them to get a decision................please!!!
7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: February 06, 2018, 13:13:08 pm
Now the manic January window has passed (well done NTFC), can KT issue a statement concerning the relationship with NBC and a decision?
Can KT issue a statement about what his target plans are for the Stadium, if the Council sort the legal issue?
What time scale does he envisage when a decision is made by the Council?

Has our Trust asked KT these questions?
8  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Rochdale on: February 05, 2018, 15:45:22 pm
One poor game in the last FIVE and it is the managers fault, not the players, so lets change the manager, STUNNING !!! How many micro seconds did it take you to think that response Razor?

Changing the manager has worked so many times before?
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Rochdale on: February 04, 2018, 07:10:52 am
My main concern is our midfield, which is so inconsistant and does not provide cover infront of the two centre halves. I would play Poole,Foley or McWilliams as the holding midfielder. From this base we can give more support to Long. When was the last time an opposing goalkeeper got MOM?

Next Saturday against 'THE Dons'  a more structured team would be;

                    O'Donnell

Moloney, Taylor, Turnbull, Bunney

                        Poole

Ariyibi, Crooks, O'Toole Grimes

                        Long

We have the quality of players now JFH has to get a consistant team out of them!

Especially when you compare it to ourselves taking nearly ONE THOUSAND Cobblers fans to Blackburn which is more than TWICE the distance!
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Terrace talk this Saturday on: January 31, 2018, 07:48:10 am
Phrases for the Rochdale match;

Whose that?

He's a Cobblers veteran of at least 5 months

WOW pace!!!

There are good players on the bench!

How do you pronounce his name?

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GAME.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Rochdale on: January 30, 2018, 20:08:08 pm
The club have made the effort, so let's hope Cobblers fans make the effort and put another 500 on the gate.
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 30, 2018, 19:21:04 pm
The team and squad is soooooooo much stronger, so the biggest task will be to gell so many new players into an effective team!
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 30, 2018, 15:48:02 pm
Precisely, but it did not seem to matter previously!
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 30, 2018, 15:40:39 pm
A side issue; Andy Melville took some stick for the earlier squad players we signed, not Taylor, Crooks, Long and Grimes.

Now the list of quality players has been added to will previous posters change their mind?
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Welcome Kevin Van Veen on: January 30, 2018, 15:24:15 pm
Well done NTFC.

Recent days activity certainly shows intent!
17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 30, 2018, 13:52:32 pm
Where have the Van Veen rumours come from? Aside from both he and JFH being Dutch I don't get why people think we're in for him.
His agent.....ssshhhhhhhh!
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 29, 2018, 18:56:40 pm
In his interview he spoke of playing alongside Long NOT as back up, ie; two strikers for future matches.....I hope so.
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January 2018 Transfer Rumours Thread on: January 29, 2018, 15:52:28 pm
JFH has stated 'we should have FOUR strikers on the books and at present we have two'.

Does that translate that he will play TWO strikers from the start, as having 3 strikers on the bench seems a waste?
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: MK Donkeys Home 20 Jan 18 on: January 29, 2018, 13:59:50 pm
If the Saints want to compete with Wasps, Leicester etc they will be hampered in that Franklins Gardens can not be built any higher because of planning restrictions. So whilst in the past month they have had two poor gates if the want 25K crowds and a budget to compete they will have to move!

MK Stadium or Sixfields expanded??
