Bring back the old tombola from the days at the county ground? Nice to hear the trust are alive and kicking, not heard much from you guys in months, was getting worried something was wrong. It's amazing how a few wins bring out old Tom Cobbley and all. 😂😂

1.8 points per game from final 31 games would give us 71 points, which on current form over last 6 games suggest we could. Obviously we would need to put together a long winning run or 2 to make up on lost ground and hope to be just outside the playoffs after the Christmas fixtures. I believe theres a very capable manager in charge, fighting spirit within the team, a bit of depth with some promising young players breaking through, Morias nearing fitness and a January window to strengthen, it's very doable. But by my reckoning, Oldham has now become a must win game😂

Beds, I think KT keeps half an eye on this forum only from the perspective of one way of assessing the mood of fans. However suggesting that any comments or opinion on here have any influence whatsoever is nonsense. He doesn’t give a sh1t what you or I think. Most people on this forum don’t, so he definitely won’t. Sorry to suggest your life’s work has been a waste of time an all that?
If it makes me feel better knowing that it makes other fans inquisitive of the secrecy surrounding the club and it rattles those who I believe have ambitions for our club that only matches the length of their out stretched arms with up turned hands, then my work hasn't been in vain🤣 If only we had a functioning trust to represent the clubs supporters who also oversee exactly what the owners and the NBC are deciding between them as to what they think is (Very wrongly imo) best for us. 🤔

We'll never know. What I do know is that i'm fed up of reading beds demanding answers yet not having the courage to ask the questions.
The clubs spokesperson and several of his loyal subjects keeps him abreast of all posts on social media that may need addressing, just as they did for the previous incumbents, they know by name the posters who have had the 'audacity' to rock the boat and question the secrecy that shrouds our club and the possible reasons behind its inability to progress the smallest amount these past 20 years. One concerned email isnt worth a fig as is an ego massaging obsequious podcast. However, several hundred fans openly discussing real concerns the club face will force answers.

why don't you just send the guy an email yourself asking him?
The well being of our club should be a the forefront of all discussion and not avoided at the fear of upsetting those who may have differing agendas in regards of our clubs future. This week we had not 1 but 2 chances to broach a very serious issue but instead we asked about Thomas's favourite chants and we are told the council are playing ball, but this imo is probably meaning they're weakening and about to do something that's detrimental to our football club.. They don't talk with our fan base as to what is best for the football club going forward but only those posibly just out to gain short term personal wealth from the land the club stands on. Without more openess and transparency I cant see this going well for our club. While we still have some bargaining powers.. the hard questions need asking and answers made public not whispered into a few ears. There is nothing involving the club and council that should be secretive, especially after the last debacle when dealing with private investors on behalf of the towns football club.

Maybe you could just ask him yourself?
Just an idea.
I did, you invited questions for your podcast and I asked the question we ALL want an answer to. You are the ones doing the podcast interview for the clubs supporters, inviting questions but decided against asking it.

Conscious decision from us not to ask anything like that, rightly or wrongly on the basis he got asked about the sale and east stand on the radio and didn't really answer them so it was going to be no different for us.
Fair argument though mate.
The only question of any interest In regards of our football clubs future is will new owners actually own the land adjacent the east stand boundaries or will this be now lost to the club and in the hands of private investors? This was not asked by the BBC RN show and has yet again gone un asked. When you consider the uncertainty hanging over the ownership, that was a very poor conscious decision. Maybe you could approach the council to do a podcast armed with the same question?

2 very poor sides at home in rounds 1 and 2 and Tottenham away in round 3 at the unveiling of their new ground. Not bothered who we get in the 4th round.

St Albans was great btw...just to keep on track!
35° in the baking sun, taking shelter under a tree situated in the corner of the ground whilst supping ale from a well located barrel. Followed by England beating Columbia in a world cup 1/4 final after. Twas a Great day out.

Kelvin Thomas on the show tonight. People can send questions in, over to you Beds.
I asked a question in the podcast section in regards to how much of the land to the rear of the east stand will still be in the clubs hands available for the use of the club or is it now all in the hands of private owners? I very much doubt bbc radio Northampton would allow their guest to be given a hard time😂 I didn't hear the show but it sounds like the council is taking centre stage still? Anything else of interest discussed or more of the same old non committal s***e?

No idea, but do think the East Stand needs development. Increasing the capacity and offering an improved corporate experience is the way to take the club forward...
What are others' views?
No, I agree with Kelvin when he said its all right as it is. 4th division is where its at. Forest green, Morecambe, Yoevil, Crawley, Macclesfield etc, what more do we need.

Q, If the club find a new buyer, ones that are finally willing to progress the club up the football pyramid, raising our profile within the game, will they acquire the land behind the East stand as part of the takeoher deal which could be used for the enabling to allow us to play at a stadium looking a lot less pathetic which is befitting of a town with such a large conurbation. Or has this land been finally annexed into private ownership, forever lost to our clubs future use?
(Podcasters, if you only ask 1 question, make sure its this😘)

Game management is an essential part of winning games, it's not cheating or time wasting. The Rovers from the green forest will be in the end of season play offs.

Point less comment when you can buy on line for £22.00
Because there's no other way to financially support the club, no decent sized supporters club house selling pre match food and drink, vast food queues on the concourse etc, so I'm happy to give the club the extra few pound. I don't buy a season ticket anymore as those belittling our club might see it as endorsing their stance.

He knows it is bullsh, but suits the point(s) he is making ..............well embellishes them!
This would Ricky Holmes who for 3 out of 4 seasons won player of the season at 3 different clubs before earning a move to the championship. An absolute £400k bargain at the time of sale, so if Thomas accepted a bag full of rusty washers for him, those rusty washers were valued at £400k.

Like most chairman, he is probably going to want to get back at least the amount of money he put in to pay off debts etc.
Man Utd in the league cup revenue or the 400k we got for Ricky Holmes would have more than paid back the 160k and the 100k in back wages and would have been used for just that.

Sam Hoskins is a decent player but stuck in a poor team, maybe if the side start to perform on a regular basis this hard work will pay dividends. A modern day Graham Felton. All together now 'we've got Sammy Sammy Hoskins on the wing, on the wing..

Completely right - sometimes people don't seem to understand how much it costs to run a football club or how small a sum 1-2 million is in that context - if as an individual you retire with a million in a pension pot and live for 25 years you would enjoy a reasonable but not lap of luxury life style.
I know Beds will talk about a club sustainable on gate money and non match day income but the reality at the lower league levels is just that - sustainment but not progress.
My hopes for our club is that we achieve a 50% increase and growth in all aspects of the club, from building up the support base, increases in food and beverages, match day advertising, sponsorship and corporate takings, non match day takings, player budgets, player sales, league position etc etc. I'm not that interested in us being a rich man's play thing but would like to have owners that pushes hard for a community club spirit that has the local population wanting to watch and are proud to be involved with. It would be long-term project, that would finally see things being achieved. We've had15 years of smoke being blown up our arses, how nice would it be to have something finally happen.
