....and the right people are whom?
Not those dependent on millions of £££ of free council land so they can deliver nothing or very little in the way of ground redevelopment. Strange as it seems the right people have been here all along and they being the people of our town and county who would for the first time since football regained its popularity, readily back a club thats not constantly laying dormant being strung out by developers wanting free land. The council need to resist giving these lot a single blade of grass until they show some real intent towards the clubs growth and not just that of their own portfolios. Its not too late for these latest lot to throw away the cigarette packet that their master plans are written on and listen to the clubs supporters as to what we really need and its not just ' finishing off the East stand with some boxes' at whatever cost plucked from the sky.

Well, until NBC pull their fingers out and approve what they need to, then it will be...
KT & his sunshine band are powerless until they do...as has been said on NUMEROUS occasions
People can keep on having digs at KT regarding a tangible update but unfortunately IT'S IN THE HANDS OF OUR INCOMPETENT COUNCIL!!!
Pull their fingers out and do what exactly? Unconditionally hand over great chunks of Sixfields land without a thought for what is gaureenteed for our clubs future.. I would rather the council give nothing than us to get a useless token gesture that doesn't help our club a jot. Keeping the enabling for the right people is whats needed. After 2 years of nothing, I very much doubt this lot are them.

Beds, I agree with you chap...but can you stop over-using the word 'sustainable'...it's reading like a Green Party manifesto! When you speak out against the consortia/speculators /'saviours' or any others that dont have NTFC at the top of any agendas you have to keep the Cobblers supporting naysayers at arms length, you know the ones who think we wouldn't have a club to support, so show unconditional love and hold the many of our collection of london,Hertfordshire ,LA etc etc based speculators in highest esteem even its to our clubs detriment. So for their benefits. ........ Old traditional well established old football club playing in a town of over 230,000 and 700,000 in the county catchment.... Ready for immediate growth , sustainable. As opposed to what could be happening if we don't wake up, the promise of 'some boxes' only if council gifts vast amounts of land that pays huge dividends to out side speculators. .. not so

A good team leads to a good season leads to a good atmosphere at matches, so the solution is blatantly obvious, get our club in a position to experience many many more good seasons. Sorting out our infrastructure in a sustainable way and sell our club to the Northampton public without having to sell out our future enabling on a hope, would be the single greatest thing this club could do right now.

Sadly due to our 14 years continuously being held as an ' insignificant football club' that could be a gateway to vast wealth if NBC are daft enough to yet again hand over Sixfields land unconditionally without any guarantees or up front investments to develop the ground to ensure the professional football club of Northampton get the necessary expansion to attract a whole new generation of our supporters and other visitors and subsequently better players and local corperate investors , attracted to a more atmospheric and professional ground. This same question has been posted hundreds of times in the past and the answer is simple, Sixfields is not fit for purpose and we/NBC must not give away a single blade of our enabling land to outside speculators without cast iron agreements that gives us the infrastructure that will be sustainable and a stadium our Town can be proud of and wants to visit.

Harder games are the ones against ... Well established larger towns showing professionalism in running clubs gaining extra support through civic pride.. Portsmouth wigan Bradford oxford etc. Or the well run smaller towns who have rich benefactors Sc***horpe fleetwood. The easier games are usually against those clubs like us who just bounce along on the bones of our arses making up the numbers with no direction, no growth plans and generating little in the way of civic pride due to being an insignificant part of something bigger to outside controlling bodies. Hope that clears it up any confusion as to what makes easier opponents .

How can you not remember Saxby’s free kicks? I recall his comment in the Chron after scoring from a free kick,,, ‘it should have been a penalty but the ref decided it was outside the box and gave a free kick. I thought oh well, just as good”.
....Or was that Peter Denyer?
Peter Denyer away v wimbledon fa cup replay, 1982, certain he scored a couple that great goals that night.

Gary Saxby at Gillingham in the F.A. Cup 1982/83. Anyone remember that one?
130 Cobblers fans crammed on just 2 white elephant coaches, 3 to a row. It featured the first on board toilet in the shape of a large plastic diesel container and a movable floor well. Both coaches returned with lots of spare seats and both broke down, the one I was on only made it back due to the redirection of the plastic containers contents being poured into the coaches cooling system. 1-1 draw .

Strange sequences of results might suggest the harder games could yield as many points as the "easier" We get smashed at home to Peterborough and Bristol Rovers who both went on to lose 3 in as many games some against sides we beat. As Jimmy G once said, Funny old game.

The right wing bigots over here in the Fatherland are so commonplace it is unreal. I would say three or four times a week I hear racially derogatory statements against pretty much anyone who is not Arryan. The other day I came across in a local newspaper(rag) the word **** in the comments column on a story about asylum seekers. The paper had not only published the comment from it's on line forum, but there was not a single word calling out the poster on this.
I was racially abused Back in 1992 I was working in Germany and was invited for a beer with a group of local construction workers who were discussing their up coming elections, I was asked who I was voting for, despite not being registered to vote I still claimed that I would vote for Helmut Kohls socialist party as they look after us foreigners. But this went down very badly with one very grissly old German who, while pointing at me claimed in a loud voice 'scheisse Helmut khole is eine arshloc' allowing 'scheisse auslanders' to come in and take our work and not pay any taxes! He was infact right, I didn't pay their 35% scheisse tax. I just laughed and despite his friends feeling uncomfortable with his racist outburst they had guessed I possibly went for a reaction.

And he scored
Maybe he's making a big deal out of nothing to get it into the public domain to help manufacture a move away in January, perhaps? Next we'll have Revell Powell and Bowditch wanting a return to MK.

This incident needs forgetting immediately as I can assure you things will be getting a lot more vicious and vociferous until our form turns around and we start competing again. As we fight our way out of the s***e and our league 1 status is secured, the same players will achieve hero status.
We do need to accept the predicament we're in and the club need to send out a rallying call to all our supporters to get behind the team. Heavily advertise games on all local media £20 is plenty, £10 U18 and pay at the gate. If we hit December with less than 15 points, it addios amigos league 1.
