2261  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer signings/rumours/realistic targets 2015 on: July 27, 2015, 15:40:34 pm
I'm not sure I like the idea of only having three strikers with our injury record, as well as the position seemingly not being Toney's strong point.

Do we not think it would enable us to have a "plan B" if the one up top is not working? Or do we just push one of the attacking midfielders up alongside Rico/Toney/A.N Other if we have three?

Maybe this would be one position where a short term loan until January could suit us?
2262  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer signings/rumours/realistic targets 2015 on: July 27, 2015, 14:08:28 pm
We are desperately in need of at least two strikers, currently we only have Toney and Richards and if the rumours are to be believed then Toney will be off to pastures new soon.

Anybody know of any free/loanee strikers worth taking on? Or do you think we will get to use the money from the potential Toney transfer to bring someone in?
2263  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injury updates? on: July 26, 2015, 06:48:33 am
Gozie Ugwu.....what's happened to him? Is he still "on trial"? He went off with a tight hamstring a couple of weeks ago after scoring against Woking. Is he injured or has he gone?

Think his hamstring was still the issue, if Toney is off then we should be snapping him up reasonably quick.

Very worrying about Holmes, our injury record is horrific over the last 2/3 years and I have no faith in our medical staff to provide the right treatment for his safe return.
2264  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 24, 2015, 16:32:21 pm
But at least it's a sign that the people involved are still looking to purchase us.
2265  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New shirt on: July 24, 2015, 14:28:09 pm
Both kits now ordered, but no mention of a timeframe for delivery.

Should I be worried, or does anyone have experience of ordering from the Webshop?
2266  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New shirt on: July 24, 2015, 11:13:02 am
Still no sign of the shirts on the Webshop, or an announcement of what time they will be available.

 Undecided

As Baby Bear says bluntly, no, kit is provided, but you will need your own boots and shinpads!

Cheers guys, I definitely have plenty of boots and shinpads.

A quick question on this, will I need to buy a full strip if you are foolish enough to let me have some game time?
2269  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New shirt on: July 24, 2015, 08:40:57 am
I do like the kits, do we have a 3rd kit at all? Is it that a thing of the past.

May have to get the Pink one, even if I can't pull it off it's something worthy to support.

Emergency Third Kit is this (last) seasons yellow and black one.

Really impressed with the new kits, will be hoping that I can grab both online at some point today.

Any hints as to when they will go on sale on the Webshop?  Later in the day is a bit vague.....
2271  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New shirt on: July 23, 2015, 15:40:44 pm
He has a valid point though. Football shirts are complete rip offs and look completely ridiculous on any adult outside the 22 players on the football pitch. At least a retro shirt is so old it doesn't get old and therefore has more value...?

NTFC must make money from giving the badge to Toffs? Maybe could have been creative and released there own retro range.

There must be plenty of ridiculous looking adults turning up to games that have purchased a shirt at some point then.

I really don't understand where the negativity around adults wearing football shirts stems from. I hardly see how wearing a product replicating an old football shirt is any different to wearing a current strip?

So two children that hate football then? Cheesy

Indeed.  Grin

I'm always surprised at how many people still seem to purchase football shirts.

Do you not think that other than turning up to every home game that this is an easy way for fans to put a little money into the club and show their support?
2274  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New shirt on: July 22, 2015, 14:12:30 pm
Will be ordering both Home and Away this year as it has been a long while since I got a shirt.

Are we banking on £45 each do we think?

The idea of a pink home kit is certainly intriguing.

I would definitely be interested, would need advance notice of dates as live in Milton Keynes and do cover work on some Saturdays.

I am just getting over an ankle ligament injury so am working my way back to as fit as an overweight, slow 33 year old can be, but would be happy to take part in this in some capacity.

I have played pretty much every position, usually somewhere at the back or defensive midfield though.

Longtime supporter but amazingly only just found this forum!   Smiley

Longtime Cobblers fan from Northampton originally but lived in Milton Keynes for the last 28 years.

Used to have a season ticket, but still try and get to as many games as possible, even with one child that hates football and one that supports MK Dons........

Look forward to conversing about our team with you all, seems to be a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of the club on here.
