Anybody watching? I just get a message saying waiting?
43  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Window on: August 20, 2020, 16:25:37 pm
I reckon we should do what other teams do and try an poach a proven goal scorer from league 2, Beryly Lubala from Crawley would do nicely. Young too so has a lot of potential.
44  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Window on: August 19, 2020, 16:41:33 pm
Let's be honest, if the season were to start this Saturday, we'd be up a certain creek without a paddle. At the very minimum we need a certified striker and a CB, that might see us finish 20th.
45  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Charlie Goode - Goodbye & Thank You For Everything on: August 19, 2020, 11:08:40 am
Brentford... Brentford???

The keeping the cards close to your chest style of KT can be rather frustrating!

Undisclosed fee...does little for enhancing our stock imo. Big (relatively) sales are widely put out there with both Peterborough and Oxford Utd (Baptiste going to Brentford e.g) which has put them out there with serious sales!
So since the Richard Hill transfer to Watford for £265,000 we've had little idea of the fees involved, leading to speculation of fire sales!

Good luck though Goode...deserved move. Interesting as to why not to a bigger club. Middlesbrough nor QPR matching the requested value?

He went for 1 million it's not been Hidden.
46  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: League 1 odds 20 21 on: August 17, 2020, 17:15:30 pm
To be expected when we don't have a striker. All we have at the moment is a 6'5" guy who can't win a header to save his life.
47  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: SHAQ on: February 15, 2016, 20:52:33 pm
He's also rich, so I fully support his support of the Cobblers!   Grin
48  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: morecambe on: January 24, 2016, 11:38:49 am
The difference between league 2 and 1 nowadays is minimal, the only major step up is the championship.

This team if we get promoted would probably make playoffs if they stayed together in league 1. How some of you are writing them off already is laughable.
49  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January transfer window on: January 15, 2016, 16:46:54 pm
We need to stop with the loans now, Collins, fair enough, but we don't need anymore midfielders. All this will do is upset team chemistry and have a negative impact on a team playing well already. Oxford fans said Wilder was like a kid in a sweet shop when the transfer window opens.

Apart from Collins, anymore and he is just adding to the possible detriment of the team...Ok, so this new arrival has played at a higher level, but why change a winning team?
50  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January transfer window on: January 06, 2016, 19:01:29 pm
Why would Shrewsbury loan us their top scorer, when they are a point above the relegation zone? makes no sense, but a good deal for us...
51  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: All Redevelopment/Takeover Stuff on: November 10, 2015, 19:02:12 pm
Were you lot born yesterday?

This posh supporter has purposefully created two of the most likely Phoenix club names so that he can have a laugh and make us pay an extortionate price to relinquish the registered name.

Basically, come up with another one but keep quiet about it this time or he'll probably register that one too.
52  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Barnet F C at The Hive on: August 18, 2015, 21:05:15 pm
Because Richards is a lot older than Benteke.

Roll Eyes lets not all get too suicidal now. We were never going to win all the games. Sounded like we needed to take the chances in the first half.

1 loss and everyone throws the toys out the pram

Come on... It's the third game of the season. It's not like he's played 20+ games. Also why didn't we start potter, or adams, or holmes? Why did we play two youngsters up front?

You play your best team...let's not make excuses.
53  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Barnet F C at The Hive on: August 18, 2015, 20:44:50 pm
What a load of crap. well done wilder, that loss is on you for fielding a weak team.

Rodgers wouldn't rest benteke, lallana, and coutinio. So why did you feel the need to make such a weak side for barnet to play against today.
54  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Solidarity Protest V Blackpool on: August 05, 2015, 21:20:27 pm
"Is it Ravi?"

"Well I can't say it's not Ravi."

Lol, that's what I took from these emails anyway.

Hate to say it, but it looks like my source was legit after all. David Jackson could be right with his Indian London bozo jibe.
55  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 22:39:20 pm
Bit surprised that you are prepared to share the same platform with Daz21. Your views may well be valid but not sure about Daz21.

Ok I googled Daz21 and there's lots of usernames and no they're not all me. So can we drop this, 'everything he says is bull' stuff please. I know I crushed your dreams of triple promotion under the billionaire consortium, and I'm sorry. Like I said wait and see in a few weeks, I could be wrong.
56  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 22:28:28 pm
That is you on abovetopsecret, no point trying to lie about it.

I'm no liar, I haven't said one way or the other. I don't know why a few of you keep bringing it up though as if it holds some relevance to the Cobblers future...
57  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 22:17:00 pm
You might well be on a bit of a wind up. Just lke Grove I also have a connection with Dave Jackson, so have an idea what his motivation was for leaving the board.

But let's be honest here. You're in good company on here. Did you know that on this very forum, you can find people who have seen our football club reduced to a joke, they've been lied to and seen us accumulate the largest debt in our clubs history consolidating fourth division football in a three sided ground and have witnessed ridiculous amounts of public money squandered and lost on a few painted beams and a the odd welfare cabin. Yet they still argue the worth of the muppet that's overseen it all..

And they reckon your full of sh1t.  Grin Grin

You know what? For the sake of the club I hope I am...
58  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 22:10:48 pm
It has nowt to do with the Cobblers but everything to do with DAZ21 posts in forums.... It is possible that someone shares your username but the capital letters make it look suspiciously like the same poster

Ok and you think because I share a username I must be a troll?

The post he/she was alluding to makes sense anyway if you want to debate it. Doctors and nurses are human, not all of them are righteous...Harold Shipman, comes to mind.

Heck, I even read a story today about a woman undergoing general anaesthesia and having all her teeth removed when she only needed the front two fixing...

So the point being made was what exactly?

Now that we've discussed an issue from another forum, can we get back to football?

59  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 21:52:07 pm
Just click the link provided.
And then go troll elsewhere.

I did, and I don't understand what you're trying to say...

What has that got to do with the Cobblers? I don't know why I even came here, I should have just stayed quiet obviously.
60  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 22, 2015, 21:42:54 pm
What a load of Bollox.
How about your views on Jordanian gynaecologists, intentionally leaving mobile phones inside patients? After all, you`ve heard it from the mouths of "doctors and nurses themselves".
