1  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Bury - Saturday 25th November on: Yesterday at 20:25:33
It seems we'll be without JJOT and Hoskins again at the weekend, both would be in my team if fit. Therefore this is the team I would select

                                                Ingram

Moloney                Taylor                           Pierre (if fit) or Barnett               Buchanan

Waters                             McWilliams                    Grimes                            Powell

Long                         Revell (if fit) or Richards

Subs - Cornell, Barnett/McGivern, Bowditch, Foley, McGugan, Poole, Crooks.

We can't keep having luxury midfield players in our team, harsh on McGugan and Crooks but where do we fit them all in? A team is made up of lots of things and players with ability don't always make good team players. Chris Long is in desperate need of some help up front and I would choose Revell ahead of Rico, if fit, which is doubtful.

No way should revell or Richards be anyway near our stating 11

Bring back Iaciofano and Lobjoit.

We can't score goals, Joey is scoring them in abundance.

I don't care that they are at a lower level, they should be given a chance to show what they can do as the strikers we have don't seem capable of hitting the net.

I don't think anyone will get on the back of a homegrown talent, people around me are very accommodating of young Shaun McWilliams and constantly offer encouragement even when things are not going his way.

Lobjoit is a bit of a ****, but one thing he does have is pace. Would at least give us some striking options until January.

I agree bring back Joey to have on the bench - There was nobody on that bench last night who had the ability to turn again.

Richards offers nothing at all.

I would have him back just to have something different from the bench

As others have said it was reall,y really disapointing.

As good as we were at Oxford, this was bad, bad, bad!!!

The quick high press - evapourated to nothing

The fast passing and breaking changed to slow lathegic side to sidepassing but going nowhere. It's so easy to defend against us as we are so narrow all the time.

The biggest thing that had gone was confidence, effort, commitment and 100% being given by all, you could see it at Oxford, had gone - this is the major worry for me.

It's all well and good saying we will bring players in come jan, but they might take tiome to settle and it maybe like having a new team again.

Saturday is massive for me now!

Right tonight's result proves what an utter load of bulls*** this thread is.

Time to close it down and move on

Open play we are having more procession but final balls are s***e coupled with schoolboy marking Iím afraid we are looking more and more like relegation material

We go side to side but nowhere with it, build up is so slow it's pedestrian.

We are so narrow all the time, so easy to defend against. It's just so predictable everytime. God how I miss a wilder team!!
6  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (A) 21/11 on: November 21, 2017, 21:00:40 pm
These are shockingly poor btw
7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (A) 21/11 on: November 21, 2017, 20:58:20 pm
Carbon copy of goal 1, really soft free kick pierre wrong side. Free header at the back post.

**** poor.

We are far to slow build up going forward
8  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (A) 21/11 on: November 21, 2017, 20:48:15 pm
Here we go then, come on town!!!
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (A) 21/11 on: November 21, 2017, 20:37:53 pm
Awful stuff,  they are bad and we are worse!!!

Free header for there goal, pierre should have scored

Surely we can't be any worse??
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Players out on loan on: November 19, 2017, 15:48:22 pm
16 goals in 13 games is certainly a decent return, but I would like to see him loaned out to a team higher up the non-league pyramid and prove himself at a better level of football before dropping him in at the deep end in league 1.

I've said it before and I will say it again, we have nothing to lose from having him in the squad. Richards is finished, get young joe back in the squad and on our bench.
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: ! on: November 19, 2017, 15:43:58 pm
Correct - he's HALF decent!

Long is crying out for someone with a bit of pace to play alongside him

Need a goal while we are on top!
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron - AGAIN (H) 18th November on: November 18, 2017, 14:14:40 pm

I would say that is our strongest 11 possible! 3 points come on boys! !
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Justin Edinburgh on: November 15, 2017, 18:51:51 pm

16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron (A) FAC Replay 14/11 on: November 14, 2017, 21:57:41 pm
Why, do we always get these points made after defeats.

Revell, Barnett & Hoskins didn't even play tonight so a bit harsh.

Nothing to do with tonight, I'd have said the same on Saturday.  Results and performances like tonight just reaffirm that.

It's not harsh, if we want to push on and move forward then we need better than the above

17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron (A) FAC Replay 14/11 on: November 14, 2017, 21:44:46 pm
Well the only thing tonight confirms is that our "squad" players are not good enough for league 1.

I would expect at least Richards, Revell, Smith, Kasim, Waters, Barnett and Hoskins to be shipped out in January.

For a progressive league 1 club all do not have enough quality
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron (A) FAC Replay 14/11 on: November 14, 2017, 21:06:30 pm
Maybe it is because the management believe they are not better than the League TWO standard strikers we have in the squad!!!
[/quot

I've said it before and I will say it again how do we know unless they are given a chance.

One thing is for sure whatever happens they cannot do worse than rico and Revell both are past it.
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron (A) FAC Replay 14/11 on: November 14, 2017, 20:32:45 pm
We have sod all up top. I love the Reekmeister but I think he's done..

20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Iron (A) FAC Replay 14/11 on: November 14, 2017, 20:13:26 pm
Think we've just about realised the game has started.

Sounds like with Richards playing the ball is just coming straight back
