Your seat number was? - if you say North Stand or in West Stand beyond M138 - dont even bother to reply. It was a well taken corner and was a wind assisted. The convex curve was noticeable. However it is all about opinions and you appear very quick to lay blame on Cornell. What do you think Ron!

And if KC decides that Cornell is our number one next year? Will you spend the entire season once again desperately clinging to the chance of a mistake. Your position was that we should have been playing Ward as number one, then it was we have to bring in a new keeper in the window or we would go down..now it's he must be replaced for next season Good to see Dave still in the top three players this year as voted by the good people on the HE If KC decides Cornell will be number 1 next year - then expect another season of mediocre football where we continue to be mid to bottom half in the table and flirt with relegation once or twice throughout the season. As I've maintained all along Dai is a decent back up option, but if we want to kick on to be top half / play off contenders then we need a more consistent and reliable keeper, who will command his area, not be decent as often as Dai is from distance and has a regular clanger in him - depends want Curle wants to do - his always been a mediocre lg2 manager and Dai will achieve that for him - so he may stick with Dai - but if we want to improve we need better. And by the way do you mean the same Lewis Ward that has put in a string of man of the match performances for Forest Green, who will be playing in the play offs and Forest Green have not really looked back and won far more than they have lost since he took the gloves in the new year??? ;0) I remember driving away from Cheltenham and BBC Gloucestershire reporter was reporting how Ward had made a couple of worldy saves that day. Maybe he should have been given a chance/run ;0)

Cam McWilliams is on loan at Corby Town until the end of the season and is currently injured.
Fair enough - but be good to see the other given some game time, given the right situation. Also be good to see those (especially those on loan) whom have no chance of being here next year being sent back or if our player not featuring again. This of course maybe what he is doing with Bridge and Taylor, but out of all the players we have on our books I would say Bridge has been one of the better performers.

Scott did well today. Thought he did okay at Cambridge despite being thrown into an impossible situation. He still tried to get forward. Would be great to see some of the other young players before the end of the season.
Be good to see this with Macclesfield and Yeovil coming up - Roberts, Jay Williams and Cam McWilliams especially Another Cornell clanger for the goal? - He has to be moved to number 2 next year if we want to move forward - I hope KC can see that.

Pollock a success today.
Hopefully Williams and Roberts starting on Friday and to the end of the season.
Good to hear that Pollock had a good game - Hopefully one for the future. I know it was reported elsewhere that Bridge and Taylor stormed out the stadium before the start of the game today - Anyone confirm or deny this?

My point was that most of them will get a 1 or 2 year contract either with us or elsewhere in this league/the conference - in football there is always some mug who thinks they can get the best out of a Daniel Powell or a Dean Bowditch on a consistent basis (I just hope that we aren’t the mug in question).
I bet they don't Irchy - I reckon even Buchs will end up no higher than the conference!

If the training ground/dressing room is such a seething pit of misery then how come the out of contract players are more or less queuing up to beg for another 1/2 years (and before anyone suggests it even the likes of bowditch and Powell will have no difficulties whatsoever in finding another club to take them on)?
I disagree Irchy I think you may find even Buchs ends up in the conference

Id far rather have someone that cared about the club in charge - certainly that has a decent football ethic.
Good season this year at Brackley once again
If he continues the way his going in will happen, it's just a matter of time!

Thoughts on the football quickly.
The line up was poor. Won't bother going into that any further as it's been discussed enough.
Cornell was beaten far too easily for their first goal. He lets in far too many from range. I'll never agree with the views that he's good enough to be a first choice keeper.
Powell's goal was hilarious defending from them. I felt sure that we would go on to win the game after that It was good to see Hoskins score. It was the first time I've actually seen him bag since Shrewsbury away in 2017.
Good to break that drought, but sadly couldn't break another. I've not seen an away win since Wimbledon last year. Truly did think that it was finally going to end today when we went 2-1 up, but managed to throw that away with some pathetic defending 2 minutes after.
Thought that it was two poor sides playing against each other and neither deserved to win the game. I do hope they stay up as Nottingham was excellent today.
Watching it back last night - Yes Cornell was beaten far too easily and again from distance with the goal and you are spot on this happens far too often. As I've always said and in agreement Dan if we are happy to remain a bottom half table team then Dai is sufficient - If we want to kick on to more than that he will need replacing as number 1. Its small percentages but a good keeper will will gain you enough points over a season to make a real difference. It's almost gone unspoken of on here - but what was Pierre doing for the 2nd? Totally let his man run off him and score easily. He has been fantastic this year, but was at fault for that one.

How come we end up with the most uninspiring football manager in the league who thinks he is some kind of deep philosopher but in reality can’t string a sentence together. Abject failure yet again today
Then you listen to the after match interview - What a load of s***e!

My group have also found this out to our cost. Will decide if we can be bothered to leave the boozers or not at 14.55 I imagine cracking support. Obvs all keen to say goodbye to most of the squad, and nothing to do with the location. I think staying in the pub sounds far more appalling to me Dan! Shame as this is usually a nailed on game for us, but I just can't face it after the last two games - 7 hour round trip to see that pathetic shower of s***e get rolled over again with no interest in playing for the badge, while hoofing it as far and long as we can for an isolated striker to chase all afternoon or an afternoon in our local boozer is a no brainer I'm sorry to say.

Just like Curle, he had done nothing at this level before joining us after being at one of the bigger clubs in the division.
Anyway as you said you’re entitled to your opinion. I personally think it’s slightly baseless but let’s all hope you’re wrong this time next year.
I really hope your right - I can't agree that my thoughts are baseless (as actually it's based on a number of facts and history) But we both agree that Curle is here to stay (unless we are taken over), so we may as well get behind him and hope your right and I'm wrong and we are not here again next year!
