It was 5k of us so not to bad considering. I reckon those there were true supporters?
Was I the only one who thought there was a lot of empty seats yesterday for an attendance of 6,500?

Still 50:50 for me. Positives are he's galvanised the whole club and the players are definitely playing for him. Has there been more than just a renewed enthusiasm from JFH's reign? Well we are scoring goals so that's a big plus. Are we creating much? Debatable. What's the pattern of play? To run balls into Hoskins to chase after and then if he holds it up, there is no one to pass to... plus bit fed up of these attempted cross field passes that hit the touch line more often than not.  Oh hell knows I'm just undecided, I do like his interviews also.
I'm also undecided. This galvanisation could largely be a coming together post jFH with everyone more than happy that he's finally departed.
Of those who got on yesterday, only Bridge and Rod were bought to the club post Jimmy's arrival (or did Rod also arrive ahead of him). Anything in that?
I like the way Austin speaks but I think there may be better candidates out there.

JJ for me. I hope he stays.
Was it just coincidence that all of the starting eleven, except Rod were here from season start?

It an etherial, plasmatic way, I can embrace you all, because I love you all.

But, sadly, physically, my arms do not extend far enough to encircle the myriads of fellow Cobblers.

May I ask, do your underpants look like Beethoven?
They do not Overseas,
Unlike some, I've never been an admirer of Beethoven. My underpants will remain largely Claret, inspite of this seasons outcome.
Today I am stepping into a pair with JJ proudly embroided on them.
I didn't get where I am....  Grin

I love you all!!!!!
But cannot embrace you all.
That's right isn't it Mr Overseas?
7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch on: May 03, 2018, 21:52:38 pm
You can take a calculated risk; if it goes wrong it doesn't necessarily mean it was the wrong decision at the time.
An apologist would say that yes!
There were others around me who thought the substitutions were wrong at the time, and that then also pushing Taylor up was a tactical mistake, handing the initiative to Walsall.
And when you say we would only have a slim chance had we drawn, is that fair?
With that, if we beat Oldham at home on Saturday, then Rochdale would need to beat Charlton to avoid relegation in our place.

When people say he rolled the dice or he had a go at the end of the Walsall game, is that the same thing as exercising his judgement as manager and getting it wrong?
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Kelvin's Interview Post-Walsall on: May 01, 2018, 00:19:46 am
Marvo didn't retire...he was sacked!  Grin

I was also led to believe we had agreed a draw with Walsall, but they clearly didn't keep to the script, though Dutch Beardy did his best!

It was to be known as the Walsall Pact.
I like that, very good.

Crooks.
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 28, 2018, 21:53:29 pm
But by then we already had Long, Hoskins, JJ, VV all trying to get a head/touch on the ball for a goal, whilst at the back we were going with Barnet Facey and Bucs...
Did you see how distraught Taylor looked after they scored? It looked to me like he disagreed with Austin's decision to play him up front and the goal only confirmed that.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: NEXT SEASON 2018/19 on: April 28, 2018, 21:39:57 pm
Jury out for me on Facey. Thought he was skinned quite a few times today with ease.
He's been skinned quite a few times prior to today as well.
He's athletic and looks the part, but that's the illusion.

13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 28, 2018, 21:18:28 pm
Making those substitutions lessened our chances of scoring, but what was far worse was putting Taylor up front, that hugely improved Walsalls chance of winning the game, which is what they promptly did. No idea what DA was thinking there.
A season of wasted opportunity. We should have been so much better than that with the players at our disposal, and I include the likes of Richards and Revell.
And even at the end, I think we would have stayed up if Hasselbank had been removed only a few games earlier.
What a completely needless wasted season.
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 28, 2018, 15:57:26 pm
We had the better of the first half, but Walsall have learnt from our game against Plymouth and are sitting deeper.
Still all to play for.
C'mon boys!
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 28, 2018, 14:02:43 pm
Crap song
I beg to differ.
C'mon boys. Let them know who we are.
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 25, 2018, 16:20:20 pm
Iíll be there too.

Teyn.
And me.
17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch on: April 24, 2018, 17:07:40 pm
I think we could still go down even if they both lost tonight and we won our last two? We'd only be guaranteed to jump Oldham.
Correct. Two loses tonight only puts Oldham back in our hands.
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Relegation Watch on: April 24, 2018, 15:54:16 pm
Two home wins from Oldham and they should be safe before we play them.
Could six points for them work to our advantage, if they have the deckchairs out a week Saturday?
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Walsall Satdee (great escape part two) on: April 24, 2018, 15:45:43 pm
I canít see oztumer being left on the bench for this one - Iím assuming he must be carrying a knock thatís the reason he hasnít started the last few matches. Iíve looked at Walsall several times this season and thought that Iíve never seen a side so dependent on one player so it would be suicide to leave him out on Saturday.
I agree he has a pedigree, but I don't recall him doing much against us in the reverse fixture.
Perhaps that's just my memory though!

Tricky. Walsall don't play this tuesday  Wink
