I tend to agree, Boot and Shoe. It's not like he's managed at Prem level where the facilities are on a completely different level.
The first team pitches are excellent. Looked after by the club's groundsmen rather than anyone from Moulton. It is also open so easy for anyone to see how good these are.

Don't understand the logic of this unless we are going to buy a training ground. At Moulton, the first team training pitches are excellent. There is an expensive rehab centre which the club has access to, a gym and lunch is laid on as well. Remember Boothroyd messing with this set up to little effect. Of course I will be delighted if we buy our own training facilities but I'm not holding my breath. This sounds like we are trying to manoeuvre a better deal with Moulton.

We have a real problem with players on contracts till the end of the season(or longer), who will not get paid anywhere near the same as they currently do. Start with Kazim and Coddington. They are not playing and are not going to play. They would both find another club on a lot less money. I think the loan of Lewis Ward will be cancelled in January if he is not playing by then. What was the point of taking him if not to play? Coddington could have sat on the bench. There seems to be a constant stream of bad decisions over signings. Hopefully that will change under KC.

Think DA wasn't told till Sunday, but he made comments off-camera on Saturday, which suggested he thought it likely that his time was up. I think he has the potential to be a very good manager but timing is everything. Unfortunately for him, he was in charge of the worst group players I can remember in terms of character. We can all remember teams in the past with a lot less ability that performed a great deal better. I accept he made mistakes but that goes with learning the job. He was also very good with young players. We still need a new academy head and I would be delighted if someone like DA fills the roll, but I also think Ian Sampson would be great as well and would get my vote every day of the week.

I stand corrected. I was going on the KT interview, from only this morning, where he said about bringing a manager in until the end of this season. I would think that KC has negotiated that as KT was quite clear about giving the new manager a short-term contract.

He's only got till the end of the season. New owners might well make a change at that time - if not before if necessary. Of course he might surprise a few people and be rewarded with a contract beyond this season. Looks good that he is taking over immediately rather than shirk away until after the tricky game tomorrow night.
Good luck Keith and Colin.

Sounds like the deals done. Maybe out of respect for DA, he is waiting to announce it.
I still think the fans are the most important part of any club followed by grass roots - invest in the players of tomorrow that might actually care about the club that pays their wages.

The only thing that's worked in a long time is prising a manager from another club who is doing well. I suggest we try the same route. Look at managers who have been performing well for some time and are probably not paid over the odds and might be interested in a move. I would go for Ardley or Coleman.
Good luck to DA. The players that got you sacked are a disgrace. Hopefully, they won't be far behind you.

DA has finally come out and said what I've been saying for quite some time: most of these players are gutless and have little interest in the club paying their wages. He is absolutely right to suggest a new manager would struggle with them. This is why I'm still supporting him. Shame Scott didn't get a run out. At least he would have busted a gut. Looking forward to Tuesday!
