881  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: How can we put pressure on Cardosa to sell? on: November 22, 2015, 19:36:18 pm
Blackpool fans have done the following.

Ramble/gathering to the Oyston residence in the village where he lives.

Huge march through the town centre.

Protest at the stadium

882  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: How can we put pressure on Cardosa to sell? on: November 22, 2015, 13:15:55 pm
The Blackpool fans did something similar at the Oyston residence. Called it a ramble or suchlike.
883  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: What do the fans want? on: November 21, 2015, 08:40:39 am
Lets face it without a huge cash injection the club won't be able to worry the Championship never mind any higher. It can tick along at a small profit as League 2 club given the right management.

Then you have the small issue of the £10.25 million loan which hasn't been explained as far as I can see by any of the parties and the carbuncle stand that at least Kelvin Thomas has alluded to.

Sustainability had surely got to be the key focus of the club rather than being blinded by fantasies about playing at higher levels which we have never done consistently in our 100+ year history.

884  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: What do the fans want? on: November 21, 2015, 08:24:38 am
Again, bar a few soundbites it's very difficult to make an informed decision although can bar McCrory who is a total non-starter.

Have any of them broached how the £10.25 million council loan will be repaid?

888  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: KT Takeover not Off yet on: November 20, 2015, 08:17:26 am
Also have the problem with the players not being paid. As far as I can see with a persistent breach in terms of non payment the players may have the right to hand in a 14 day notice and look for alternative employment. Needs clarification from the club.
889  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dear Mr David Cardoza............. on: November 20, 2015, 07:38:57 am
Do the Trust want Kelvin Thomas to take over the club? It's a democratic organisation and as far as I can see there's been no ballot on any potential new owners. I did see Roger Averill make an off the cuff remark about Cardoza selling for a pound to KT on Look East last night but how representative that is of the supporters' trust as a whole I don't know.
890  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dear Mr Kelvin Thomas...... on: November 18, 2015, 21:00:24 pm
More like the United Counties league 1 or Prem for a pheonix club. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

not true.
891  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dear Mr Kelvin Thomas...... on: November 18, 2015, 16:15:32 pm
What part of it's wrong? Football is a hobby, something nice we've invented to while away the time before we die. If it's not fun (in this case because your team is losing a lot) what's wrong with things changing so that there's more chance of your team winning? The difference between League Two and the Conference is minimal in footballing terms, apart from that it's about money and as I've said before, if you're sensible with budgeting relegation doesn't need to mean going bust.

I've found at the fan-owned clubs I've been to at home and abroad, particularly the ones with terracing that the football is only part of the experience. Standing, singing, drinking and socialising are at least as important.

In England and at Sixfields there's more of an emphasis of being cemented to your seat and an almost obsessive concentration and analysis of what goes on.

A few cheap beers down you further down the pyramid and a good shoeing of the opposition and I best most fans wouldn't care.

That said we do have a terrific team right now and it would be a real shame to see it broken up.

Think it's fair to say that those "In the Know" better have a good handle on things because it will be a travesty if the club goes to the wall amidst cloak and dagger with the wider supporter base in the dark.

This idea that the Trust couldn't run the club is a fallacy. There are several fan owned clubs in this division in significantly healthier financial states. I posted a link earlier to the Well Society at Motherwell too http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk as an example of fan fundraising.

+ let's not forget with our fanbase the club could be self sustainable if run properly.

898  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: #SaveTheCobblers thank you party. Old Red Lion Kislingbury day of Mansfield game on: November 16, 2015, 07:46:54 am
Went really well. £500 raised for NTFC Trust in the auction and money put behind the bar in Carrs bar for the club staff. Obviously today's events in Court are paramount. Fingers crossed for the future of our club.
899  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: #SaveTheCobblers thank you party. Old Red Lion Kislingbury day of Mansfield game on: November 13, 2015, 16:23:31 pm
All those coming to the #SaveTheCobblers party at the Olde Red Lion Kislingbury tmrw 12-2.30 pm.
