Funny you should say that, me and my mates once saw him at Butlins.
And by "saw" I mean we were walking past one of the theatres and saw there was an act on when nothing had been advertised for that time. We stuck our heads around the door and heard him say "People think I'm gay but I'm not. I'm not! My boyfriend is but I'm not".
We then looked at each other, shook our heads and continued on to wherever we were going (probably the bar).
Ah yes, the spectacle of a crap "comedian", and a knobbly knees contest being hosted by Ted Bovis.

The one occasion that he made the bench, on the biggest game for decades? Presumably, his dad made a very large contribution to the club funds for his brat to be there that evening.

Beds alert! Nonsense incoming!
Four minutes! Try this list..Things we had/lost.. Please feel free to correct if not right... Running Track and surrounding 23 acres, £16,000,000 debts...wasted 10 years waiting a tiny non league stand fit out, costing an astronomical £5,800,000..Still not finished. What hasn't changed is we're still a struggling lowly league club playing out of a non league ground....
Be proud of all that if you can.

To be honest, I can't remember any of Sammo's signings when he was in charge last time. Perhaps he's developed his knowledge in this area. However, I'd say it's just an element of the role which gives me pause.
The one that springs to mind was Courtney Herbert. And he just used his pace to dash to the front of the queue at NB`s.

I was actually talking about what they will do with that land now, if anything that could be an ideal place to have a fanzone which the club could operate, The building is already there and there is plenty of space too for parking which could help ease problems on matchdays.
I think its certainly something the club should be exploring imo.
How big a building do you want for a fanzone? Never going to happen.

If Sammo gets a performance over the next 4 or 5 games then it would be a bit nonsensical to gamble on someone else. IMO to suggest it would be a matter of merely saving money is ridiculous. There are arguments for and against and it is just not that simple.
I would suggest that it is an equally big gamble to appoint someone on the basis of what they might achieve over the next four or five games. Because the same could apply to any potential new man. Heads or tails innit?

And if they feel Sammo is a suitable manager?
Reap the benefits if he is, or the consequences if he isnt. That is their decision to make, and their dollars to spend. This is important, get it right and we remain as a league one club, for a further season. And that doesnt happen very frequently. Get it wrong, and we descend back into the depths of league two, and s***e home and away games, a drop in attendances and interest, and thus a drop in revenue. Personally, I prefer league one and visiting places like Leeds, Forest, Man City. It is a big choice, and I hope that they do not just follow the dollar signs, and go for the cheap option. And that includes all of the muppets on social media calling for Woody. Just what the fcuk are you thinking? And by the way, you get more bang for your bucks when selling a league one club, than a league two one.

What? He took them over as caretaker and guided them to 6th. Then he improved on that and guided them to 3rd. Then he improved on that and guided them to 2nd. Then it fell apart and they went back to 6th.
Yes. As I said, a decent run as a temp, then as you accurately pointed out "it fell apart". I wouldnt normally reference WIKI but have a bit of copy n paste. On 28 March 2019, having won 14 of his 19 matches in charge, Solskjær signed a three-year contract to take over as Manchester United manager on a permanent basis.[7][213] After Solskjær gained this permanent role, United won only 2 of 10 matches for the rest of the season.[214] This included defeats in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona in April 2019, going down 4–0 on aggregate, in which Solskjær admitted Barcelona were a "couple of levels above" United;[215] a 4–0 league defeat away to Everton, also in April 2019;[216] and in United's final game of the season in May 2019, they lost 2–0 at home to already-relegated Cardiff, Solskjær's former club.[217]

I'm not even sure we should be touting other names at the minute. The current one has just beaten the fen dwellers.
What would it take for Sammo to become the 'right man' over the next half a dozen games?
Its a poor comparison, but Solskjaer had a decent run with the Mancs, when he was in temporary charge, and as soon as he was given a permanent role the form slumped. Its not about the next six games, but a longer term outlook. Anyway, what if Sammo doesnt want the full time position? He has already been sacked from it once before. He may be comfortable as he is. Or the next manager may bring in his own coaching staff. Its a funny old game...

He was far from lethargic last night and was full of running. I suspect he was told to give it everything for an hour but didn't look like scoring and needed a better ball to Roberts in the first half.
Lethargic or lack of sharpness? Its all semantics. But he definitely didnt look sharp in the second half. As I said though, he does have a decent part to play when a more defensive performance is required. Lets face it, he doesnt look like scoring at the moment.

He gets in the team partly because of his versatility, which is an asset when your existing players are going down injured, or getting themselves sent off. With the potential return of a number of injured (or out of favour) players, now is the time for a spell on the bench. He just seemed lethargic last night.
