We need to drum up some atmosphere  Smiley
22  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Our home kit on: February 25, 2018, 17:42:17 pm
Not a bad looking shirt, would like to see white shorts, with white socks with a claret top to to the socks .
The white accentuates the claret.

Could not agree more with Mathis, about the structure of the club in regards to youth set up and end products,I believe Rochdale have a better feeder system like development teams with under 21s etc .
24  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: A drum at sixfields on: February 23, 2018, 16:53:52 pm
One thing I have noticed about our fan base is that (no disrespect meant) we have quite an old fan base. If you look around st Sixfields and away games there aren't that many mid teen to mid 20 ish fans. So it's not really surprising that there isn't an appetite for things like a Drum to make an appearance.

I say give it a go as it can't hurt and who knows it could be a good thing.

Have to agree with you about our fan base, that’s why I feel ntfc have to work harder to entice the east stand to be be sold out more ,for example perhaps selling tickets at a reduced price to a more younger supporter.

As the person who was banging on the stand at Sc***horpe and the person who bags on the stand at home games I’d rather have a drum as it would be easier to do. Also a drum doesn’t have to be hit as hard as you can hit it so you could do it quieter
why don’t you give it a try.will the club allow you to bring the drum into the ground.
26  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: A drum at sixfields on: February 20, 2018, 18:07:08 pm
When Leicester city provided clackers for all their  supporters, they apparently improved the atmosphere then went on to become the champions of England. So anything that can improve our atmosphere like the drum idea is worth a try.
27  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Ticket prices on: February 09, 2018, 20:10:57 pm
With the season drawing to a Close why don’t our comical dept offer the south east of the east stand at a £10 at ticket, just to fill it and get people hooked on attending perhaps for next season.
28  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: #SellOutSixfields on: February 09, 2018, 20:02:12 pm
With a mid-week game coming up ie gillingham, why on earth are the comical deptment not reducing the ticket prices,I have a couple of friends who work here during the week and would come if prices were a little less than £22 .At weekend they watch their championship .
29  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Our home kit on: February 01, 2018, 17:42:32 pm
I don’t know what anyone else might think, but I wish our kit had a bit more white in. I noticed when Chris Long had white shin supports over his claret socks he seemed to stand out.
30  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: AFC Wimbledon (H) 14th October on: October 14, 2017, 19:33:16 pm
Have to argree with shoemaker about long and crooks also other players when not involved seem to spend most of their time glued to their mobile phones sends out a very poor impression.
31  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Northampton Town FC 1986/87 season on: August 20, 2017, 18:57:47 pm
Hello pete,if I remember correctly jack charlton when manager of the republic of irland, said he based his tactics on the said Northampton town team.i can personally recall how quick the whole team sprited to the half way line when the keeper had the ball in his hands, thus rendering the opposition off side countless times.pete can also recall your team under mr moyes coming to sixfields on a Tuesday night, with a full end of supporters credit to them.
32  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Doom & Gloom Supporters on: May 20, 2017, 19:53:08 pm
On the other hand, sitting in the garden , with a beer in my hand, listened to the millwall game today, sounds like they played "the Northampton way" . A trip to Wembley next year for us with our Matty doing a Frain.
Don't know why, probably the beer, but feeling confident for next year. JED is going to be his team playing his way .
Roll on the new season
an interesting thing about that play off final the chap who scored the winning goal was on our books but was disregarded, because an old journeyman was problem blocking his development with us.
33  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: April 20, 2017, 18:03:37 pm
It seems to me the saints ground, would be the ideal size for cobblers, and with the saints constantly trooping off to studium mk for more capacity, pity we could not swap sites, then they would have more room to develop a bigger stadium.
34  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / New songs on: January 21, 2017, 20:29:20 pm
Obviously we were disappointed with the outcome of our visit to mk stadium, but I felt the fans were fantastic, and being in such good voice I thought it was a pity we did not have a few more different songs to belt out.One that always sticks out in my mind was watching us play Preston North End ,at sixfields on a midweek fixture and the whole of the away fans singing "can't help falling in love with you".mind you they were winning at the time.Any ideas.
35  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Franchise away on: January 15, 2017, 18:23:44 pm
Since we took 8,000 away there last year on a Tuesday night in the depths of winter, let's hope we can take are full allocation of 6,000,and show those plastics what real support looks like, and get behind justin on the start of his cobblers career.
36  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Ticket sales on: November 18, 2016, 17:43:05 pm
ticket sale  madness ,selling oxford away, with Stourbridge very limited numbers, with Sheffield Utd away,on the day of our biggest home fixture.strikes me as I could not care a s,,,,t about queing supporters.
37  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Run out music on: October 15, 2016, 21:08:22 pm
Perhaps in light of our spate of red cards,we should run out to "Dirty old Town"
38  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Peterborough away 1st derby on: October 12, 2016, 18:42:44 pm
I totally agree with brixworth cobbler and find the I R A chant totally pointless, plus it may offend any of our own support who may have an Irish connection, I seem to remember we once had a small band of dubliners who followed our fourtunes
39  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Lookeast on: September 28, 2016, 18:38:47 pm
Could not argree more, seem obsessed with Norwich ,Ipswich,Cambridge. While we are at it on the night we were playing Man Utd,most people may have been tuned into radio Northampton, only to find they were talking about the saints for about an hour between 6-7.⚽️
40  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / sky cameras pointing towards east stand on: September 06, 2016, 20:26:00 pm
It is a pity the sky cameras were trained on the east stand, which was showing the most empty seats
