The better side won but there was not a great deal in it!
Their second goal was courtesy of a defensive mix up; no need to mention the culprits!
Their was against Gillingham For their third at first I thought that Cornell had dropped it, but as somebody
Orman is my name said on here he was taken out.
Cornell no longer sure on him but would assume his place is in danger
did you see Smith during half time? Not interested at all. Phillips looked vulnerable at times but did not a poor game. It was the midfield which disappointed me most; Taylor flattered to deceive, McCourt was poor
shockingly poor again and JJOT had at best a mediocre game although after McCourt went off he did seem to come alive a bit. Nyatanga and Zakuani looked nervous/jittery most of the game; defensively at times we looked jittery. Anderson reverted to type, went awol and should have been replaced much sooner
By Potter FFS?. Unfortunately our MOM (easily) Hoskins
you got one right was too easily by passed for their player to pass which resulted in a some what messy goal! As mentioned only Hoskins carried any real threat as Revell and Richards failed to make any decent impression on the game.
apart from setting up our second goalAlso Pages tactics of one up front then 2 , 3 and 4 did not work at all. Might as well played Potter from the start
Are you sure? and then pair Hoskins with Revell. Richards did not add anything when he came on either
apart from setting up our second goal. IMO our real downfall was the poor performance by our midfield 5 (Sammy excepted) who never really harassed them, sat too deep. When they did break more often than not the pass was over hit or misplaced!
Page moaners now look away -
I agree with the Radio NTFC commentators - it was not a boring game as we did try very hard to get into the game. I did not think we were over run. They managed the game better and were more confident as a side. As I said they were the better on the day with one or two more accomplished players. To our credit we stuck at it and made a game of it! For all the moaning on here we did not look like relegation material.
The problem is now that we need several players as opposed to a couple; midfielders, a Half Back
a what?and two up front!
Oxford now looms up and would dearly love to put one over them!
