Hlyton McGowen Appere Maglorie
Plenty of wages being wasted here.
Admittedly 2 of them will be difficult to shift as they can barely walk without picking up an injury, something we should have checked beforehand!
Haynes must be on that list too?

A pretty average performance from us and although we shaded the first half , they deserved the win. There was little quality in our delivery or passing but we did match them physically. Too many of our players were returning from injury which is why Guthrie and Hoskins were subbed. As others have said , we just faded on the second half . Simpson looks a handful and reminds me of Bayo . He really put a shift in but he could do with losing a stone . Brough also looked strong . Mathe is a unit but i’m not sure i trust him positionally or on the ball. Stevenage had a lot more money to spend than us this summer and i think it showed in the end
Has the buying of the land affected the budget then also? It seems when page, and also when hasslebank was here it didn't seem this tight on money. Perhaps it would of been better if we got promotion when the east stand was built, and the land was getting developed on for us to have more of a chance of getting more money, maybe.

There are lots of players we have been in for and they have gone elsewhere . Players that go to Orient or other clubs that have cash you can understand . Players that go to mid table division 2 clubs or lower level clubs in our division is harder to take . We simply haven’t the budget and we will have to massively over perform again to survive. There has been no investment in this club for a number of years . As for Jacobs , he isn’t coming as i keep saying … unless things change 😆
I find it pretty embarrassing that stevenage are more likely to stay up, than we are.

The point I am making is that they are doing something pro active, surely Tom Cliffe could float this to the board as a binary yes or no idea, wether it’s a bond or buy a brick scheme?
Maybe try emailing James whiting about it?

How’s this going then? Starting the season with 5 injuries and the majority of the others, as the manager says are a good few weeks from match sharpness. And also brady thinks we don't need anyone else in - I honestly think we need a couple more in, that's unless the budget is completely gone!

My ambitions this is just to stay up; it would be a bonus to get one over on Peterborough and all that, but survival is priority. I'm not sure if it's just me, but i have a bad feeling that we should of went down the stevenage route and got some more league 1 proven players in.

Just had a look through the division, and if you look at it closely, I think we will do pretty well...a few teams seem to be in really bad situations atm, such as Wigan, Fleetwood and Reading, and a few, don't seem to have replaced their good players who have gone onto pastures new like Cambridge and Exeter.
So teams I think we will finish above next season (despite our budget):
Cambridge, Carlisle, Cheltenham, Exeter, Fleetwood, Reading (unless they get takenover), Shrewsbury and Stevenage.
I'm going for a comfortable mid table finish...14th.
Anybody else feel as positive?
Most of those teams will finish above us. Everyone apart from the notthe20podcast has us down for relegation. They seem to think we will will do alright( hope so!). I have a bad feeling though.

No truth in the Mcatee rumour as far as I know. Leshabela? I can see us signing him but he would be an addition to what we want and not the wide man I mentioned previously
We lost interest in the championship player then?

We still want another wide player before the window closes, happy to take some time now as the bulk of the work is done
Brady and calderwood are saying we need another 1 then? I thought we would need another 2.

Dadge will be our back up keeper this season and the Leonard signing has stretched us . It’s very unlikely there will be any more signings . Lowry certainly isn’t coming and neither are Agloibe or Jacobs ( who was never coming anyway ) It will be a small squad .
Really? Everyone is saying at least another two. How has signing leonard stretched us?

This time around I think the unrest would be aimed at the owners before the manager. Been a generation since we’ve had the good old “sack the board”. Pep would struggle to take us much further forward, unless someone with some dosh (or significant investment) came along.
However much backing KT gets from the fan base I think JB has more.
This i agree with. The owners will be to blame if we go down. I do honestly think Calderwood and brady are capable of keeping us in this division, but just with a reasonable budget.

The champ club want him off the books permanently so there’s a bit of a stalemate. A loan with an option has been mooted, unclear anything further has developed.
Hopefully Leonard chooses us but it’s not done yet
Cheers, ntfclad. I guess there isn't anything solid about debra then from Halifax.
