The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever?

So why would you try and finish that awfully badly designed east, purely Cardozas fault, and only add a few hundred seats, it needs a cantilevered roof and a second tier added.
On this occasion, Manny is pretty well on the money. The design is really quite awful and we will all have to live with it and look at it (well, some of you will!) for the next 30/40/50 years. For the money being spent, it will really not move the club very much further, if at all. Perhaps the stand should be named the "David Cardoza Stand" to remind us all just what he has left us with. This post is not aimed at the existing Board, they have been left with a unmitigated disaster of a design, and I can only hope that they have found some way of dealing with some of its quite obvious flaws, albeit at a rather late stage. I'm sure if we had the cash we would knock it down and start again

A new contract offer for Sherring is, of course a certainty.
In addition, I’d offer contracts to Appéré, Burge, Fox, McWilliams, Odimayo, and probably Willis as well.
Lose all this lot and we have lost a massive amount of squad continuity. We also already know they are of good character.
I think some fans are being a bit casual in disregarding the effect massive personnel changes could have on the squad mentality that has built up over the past three seasons. We are already losing two key performers in Leonard and Bowie.
It is, of course, key that we manage players fitness better than we have done, and I think there is evidence that we are already starting to do this and hopefully it will pay dividends next season.

Did anyone else see John Buchannan score a screamer (it might even have been two) at the old Elm Park ground in the early '70s? Sheer magic.
Yes, I was there, and they were two absolute crackers. John Buchanan at his magnificent best!

Still be interesting to see the full picture though. I wonder if anyone previously had got us promoted with anything like the number of games lost to injury by the first team squad. It’s worth pointing out that Brady achieved all this in spite of committing a fair chunk of his budget on a marquee signing that has barely kicked a ball. Not necessarily anyone’s fault given his injury record was ok prior to signing, but for me that’s a fairly big consideration in any assessment. It still surprises me that owners seem to base managerial decisions based on results alone. Maybe some don’t?
Melly, If you are referring to Danny Hylton as the "marquee signing", then , as far as I can see his injury record before signing was pretty dreadful. Using Soccerbase as my source, here is his league record for Luton in the five seasons before we signed him. 2017-2018 Appearances 37 (2), Goals 21 2018-2019 Appearances 18(7), Goals 8 2019-2020 Appearances 2(9), Goals 0 2020-2021 Appearances 6(10), Goals 0 2021-2022 Appearances 5 (12), Goals 4 I don't think I need to say any more.

It was a disappointing game from our perspective. It had an end of season feel to it.
We have done very well this season, but one thing I've noticed is that we seem to set up our defensive line very deep, which, perhaps, gives space for the opposition to get a better chance of a run at our defence.
It also means that defensive headers and clearances often end up in the midfield area, which, just due to the direction of the ball, favours better opponents who know how to use the ball. We could, I think, easily move up ten yards.

We scored three times on Tuesday. It wasn't the lack of someone pressing in front of the full back that cost us the game.
Score three then, and the defensive set up, however poor, does not matter. If you score three therefore you must win. Is that what you are trying to say?

My theory on Hoskins, in that we have to accommodate him and as such the team is unbalanced is correct, in my opinion. That's all you need to know. I am entitled to that opinion, it doesn't matter one jot if others agree or disagree.
As for your accusations that others have a grievance with the manager/club and are carrying out some cunning plan to, well what, what are they trying to achieve? Name and shame and allow people to respond or stop making things up, you're always shit stirring.
My theory is it is Pinnock, not Hoskins, that has to be accommodated and can therefore make the team unbalanced. Again it is just an opinion and not a FACT. On Tuesday Lintott, I would imagine, would have loved us to be so unbalanced that he had Hoskins working hard and pressing in front of him, rather, as far as I could see, no-one at all.

Id be happy living in the streets for a week if it means we can sign Dan Kemp Tbf😜
It would be nice. However, he would not be able to play for us until next season, as he has already played for two clubs this season.
