1  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Creepy Crawleys 8th Dec (A) on: Yesterday at 19:57:40
Not a pie but an Ancell hotel end special burger,
I think it was a night game v Rotherham in the fa cup, we went 2 down and from the back of the Hotel came a fully intact burger that hit me a glancing blow on the side of the head and exploded its contents onto the neck of the poor chap standing in front of me and those that stood within a few feet, extra onions and tomato sauce the lot.
So, the motive for the relentless corporate box campaign becomes clear. Truth will out?

Great win though. I was just staggering off of a crazy fairground ride whilst in Copenhagen and my son came running over shouting 'Daddy, Daddy Van Veen has scored'!

I've read the thread in its entirety. I  think its fair to say that these Boothroyd-esque performances/results are (each and everyone) a bonus at the moment. Im hoping that Crookes return (and Morais) plus the fact we are now 10 points clear of the drop zone will mean that the displays start to improve a tad now. But W5, D4, L2 is a bloody decent return from KC's first 11 games. Very decent.
Some supporter, picked going round in circles sat on a plastic giraffe over iFollow? Fair play to your lad for setting an example youíd do well to follow.
3  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Questions to NBC & NTFC over Sixfields redevelopment on: December 10, 2018, 20:49:12 pm
Still sorting the format. There will be follow ups don't worry.

Non-answers will just bring more scrutiny to the subject and from wider afield.
I wasnít having a pop with my post Mac by the way. Just trying to make a point that it is routine to sleaze around or evade questions and say something that is vaguely acceptable in cases like this.  Whilst their are ongoing discussions regarding the sale of the club, even if they are minor half serious discussions, the ďconfidentiality ď card can be played around the East Stand. This could go on for years. I have a question for you though. What are you actually trying to achieve from this? If itís answers I suspect that you already accept this is futile? So is it to demonstrate that KT is evading the truth and try and build pressure on the owners to act? Or is the agenda to instigate some momentum to begin the process of driving the owners out altogether or what? Seriously where are you going with this?
4  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Questions to NBC & NTFC over Sixfields redevelopment on: December 09, 2018, 20:51:02 pm
Iíll help you out and save a bit of time, likely answers in brackets

to NBC:

1. Do you have a map showing in detail what land is under what leases around Sixfields (No)
2. Did KT show evidence of the £4m he was to invest and was the agreement to write off the £10m loan based upon NTFC finishing the east stand (Body cannot comment on individual cases regarding confiidential negotiations between the council and other parties)
3. Has KT ever submitted plan permission for the East stand, if not what legal issues have stopped him doing so (See question 2)
4. What help can NBC give in assisting Northampton people gain control of NTFC (both before and after) (It would be improper to discuss such matters whilst the club is under the control of other parties)
5. Have NBC learnt any lessons from dealing with KT, (There are always lessons to be learned and the councils processes are continually under review. However it would be improper to comment on any conclusions drawn from individual cases)
6. Is the delay of sorting out the leases a tactic to get KT to deliver on what he promised, ie: to finish the East stand (No)
7. Would NBC support NTFC being a fan owned club (It would be improper to discuss such matters whilst the club is under the control of other parties)

to NTFC / KT

1. What plans or even ideas / possibilities (all and any) do you have for the East stand development? (The position of the club is currently fluid with ongoing negotiations regarding the sale of the club. As such it would be improper to disclose any confirmed plans for the development of the East Stand)
2. What are the timescales (See question 1 answer)
3. If NBC are causing the delays then EXACTLY what do you need them to do and why? (See question 1 answer)
4. What is the asking price for NTFC and what are you selling exactly? (Whilst multiple negotiations are taking place it would be improper to disclose such information)
5. Hasn't is really been your intention NOT to develop the East stand once you worked out that NBC / NTFC fans are such a soft touch? (No)
6. see q1 above
7. see q3

You'll hate this then Melly - I've since had another one from Bill and Melinda Gates telling me I've won an award from their charitable fund.
Stick this where the sun donít shine BOTN.

Hello,

Good day to you,

I am Brett Johnson (ESQ), a lawyer and a partner in a firm of genealogists and "WILL" custodians. We are executing the WILL of our client, and have sent out two letters to you in the past, and we are yet to receive any reply from you and have decided to email you.

My client died with his entire family (wife and a son) and I have contacted you because according to the last WILL and Testament of my client, his estate must be executed immediately after his death. It is worthy to note here that the probate registry has instructed us to provide the next-of-kin (beneficiary) or my client's estate stands the risk of confiscation by the state.

You can confirm the genuineness of the deceased's death by clicking on this web site below:
http://news.bbc.co.uk

Since we could not locate any of his relations, we quickly contracted a people's finder company, and they have come back to us with your details as a similarity match. Considering that you share the same last name with our deceased client, I therefore request your permission to present you as my client's next of kin to facilitate the release of the estate (fund) to you. This is because all the other beneficiaries (wife and son) named in his WILL perished in the said fatal crash.

My client's estate is valued at £10.5million. I request that you contact me immediately so that we can discuss this further.

You can email me back at: brett.johnson@brettjohnsonsolicitors if you want us to discuss this further.

Best regards,

Brett Johnson (ESQ)

I know some people who own their own business, some ranging from turnovers of a thousands to turn overs of millions, what does that have to do with fan ownership ??
Just wondered if anyone had the conversation about investment? There seems to be a consensus of opinion that businesses would be keen to get involved? Thereís plenty of assumption, just thought it might be an idea to get some facts?
7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Trust Making Bid for Fan Ownership? on: December 04, 2018, 13:17:28 pm
Does anyone on here know anybody who runs a multi million pound business then?

Good for you BOTN, some people get all the luck. You cop a fortune and I get caught wanking, twice. Lifes not fair sometimes is it?
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Big One? on: December 03, 2018, 00:39:33 am
I am not promoting another witch hunt and as Iíve said before I actually think heís ok, but is anyone out there a current advocate for Taylor being in the side? I hope Curlio is not going to go on another ďI know better than the supportersĒ crusade. Thatís been the beginning of the end for most of our managers of late. I feel terrible saying it because I canít actually put my finger on whatís wrong with the bloke. All I know is every time he is in the side we look ponderous and vulnerable and itís happened too often to be coincidence surely?
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Trust Making Bid for Fan Ownership? on: December 02, 2018, 22:24:20 pm
Still absolutely baffled by the indignation surrounding KT? Around 3 or so years ago the bloke had absolutely no connection with the town or the club (other than he had previously worked with the manager at the time). Having accumulated his wealth through various business interests over the years he invests money in the playing staff, managers etc etc, not to mention a considerable amount of time. Letís not forget this time also has a value as it could have been spent cultivating other business interests elsewhere? Is it a surprise or something that this has not been done for charitable purposes or out of some instantaneous love for the club? Heís here for one reason only, and thatís because he felt it was a lucrative opportunity to make money based on previous experience. This is directly at odds with most supporters expectations. Think about it, the alternative would be akin to someone on here suddenly acquiring a huge fortune and then going and buying Barnet or someone, and blowing the cash on them out of the goodness of their heart? If outsiders come in and buy the club then they are in it for what they can get, always have been and always will be. Some may be more ethical about it than others, but to expect otherwise is bonkers. The only alternative is if the club is run by the people who truly love it. However, then you have the significant issue of raising the finance at a massive risk to fulfill the supporters almost insatiable expectations. Itís Option A or B, there is no C. You decide, but I tell you what wonít work, sitting on our hands whining and waiting for someone else to do it. That hasnít worked for the last 50 years and it wonít work for the next 50 either.

Taylor in, Crooks out, McWilliams out of form and JJ awol. Itís the perfect storm when you think about it? Add to that poor tactics and your in the storm in your Yfronts without a brolly.
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Newport County away on a wet Tuesday night on: November 27, 2018, 21:34:26 pm
The back 4 are sitting so deep they could rotate positions with Cornell, meanwhile we havenít created a chance. If Newport want to sit deep and kill the game then push up and compress the play in their half, itís not difficult? We look like our only focus is not to concede a fourth. Seriously this is sh1t, and Iím sorry this is down to Curlio.
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Newport County away on a wet Tuesday night on: November 27, 2018, 21:19:15 pm
3-1 down and our back 4 are sitting deep and smashing 40 yard Hollywood balls for Hoskins to chase. Brilliant!
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Newport County away on a wet Tuesday night on: November 27, 2018, 21:09:54 pm
We are shocking at defending set pieces. We are neither attacking the ball or challenging the runners. Itís like watching spring lambs skipping aimlessly around a meadow.
17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Newport County away on a wet Tuesday night on: November 27, 2018, 20:52:53 pm
This season whatís our goals per game ratio with and without Taylor? Iím only asking cause without looking I know itís going to be huge. Still canít exactly work out why though?
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: November 26, 2018, 20:14:44 pm
Beds, now we are both agreed that we want the same thing and there is to be no bickering may I respectfully point out a couple of things. It is not possible to guarantee an ROI by developing the ground in a certain way or at a certain rate. There will remain a risk, the amount of which IMO would be significant. Your estimation of a 10 year ROI would immediately put off every potential investor I would know of. The main problem with extended ROIs (other than peoples impatience to get their money back)is that it allows too much time for a change of circumstances. As the investment would be inexorably linked to the performances on the pitch the risk is likely to be too great for most if not all. To repeat, the most likely scenario for the development we would all like is a life long fan with cash on the hip. I know you have reservations about this type of investment, but the alternatives are fraught with so much risk I donít believe there will be any interest, not to the extent required anyway. Again you are talking about what we would like, I am talking about what we are likely to get. The reason KT is not spending the money and going back on his word is because he and his associates believe they are almost certainly never going to get it back. That has been the case from day one, so it begs the question why make the commitment in the first place?
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 25, 2018, 19:15:40 pm
We seemed to have turned a corner as a squad. This coincided with the dropping/injury to Ash Taylor who was previously ever present. Now he has returned, so have the old habits and performances. Whilst not without his weaknesses (which all players have at this level) I actually think heís a fairly decent player. So coincidence maybe, but for whatever reason something tells me itís not?
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Taking of Grimsby Pelham 123. November 24/11. on: November 24, 2018, 15:09:57 pm
Morning all, good start then?
