Said it before but I really see no way out unless we win all three...it's too much to ask for everything else to go our way.
Encouraging results though and it's nice to see the games in hand being used up. I'm hoping for a Wimbledon win over Oldham and Walsall also losing to Scunny. We have to target those two rather than look at Wimbledon or Oxford, especially as we play them both. For now anyway!

At this point, it's looking more and more like a season of transition is needed...yet another mass clear out, yet another new manager.
Better to finish 12th in League Two with a clear vision established or go for broke in getting back up at the first attempt. I'd much prefer the former.

For a doom and gloom scenario, what is the earliest we can be confirmed as relegated?
Difficult to say because of all the games in hand but I don't think it would officially happen until 2/3 games to go.

Things will become a lot clearer tonight one way or another. I've had another look and victory for us tonight as well as the other results going for us would leave things looking a whole lot healthier.
If we can just plant doubt into the other's minds ahead of their games in hand...

Ian Walker managed Bishops Stortford briefly before moving to China.
He's now coaching 1st team goalkeepers at Shanghai SIPG FC. Long shot.
Sadly Erik Thorstvedt never went into management.

Hi kids, Lanny Poffo here, reinvigorated with fresh hope...
Jimmy’s gone, his race is run, another plan in the bin And now we turn to the latest messiah, a man called Dean Austin What will this new era bring us? And is the season too old? For Dean to bring out the fighting spirit of his namesake, Stone Cold?
After another Posh defeat, the writing was on the wall But now Dean attempts a miracle, starting at Blackpool Defeat would surely seal our fate but victory would send us merry Especially as the next opponents are those long sufferers from Bury
Some youngsters have been added, both are quite unknown But could they be about to become the next “one of our own” Deano’s got it right and says he only wants the fighters In hope that it bonds players and fans just that little bit tighter
In times of sorrow, the banners come out, we dust off the old brass And reminisce about the one and only Pat Gavin’s arse Nothing short of that Shrewsbury wonder will save our bacon now And even the smallest mistake will mean we make our final bow
But while there’s points to be won and time to spare, let’s unite and believe Let’s raise the claret flags on high, on the pitch let’s nothing leave Because with how the outlook stands right now and how the league is laid If we’re stuck on this ship and it’s sinking, then we might as well have a parade

Very sad to hear that former stadium announcer Pete Smith has passed away.
Fond memories of Pete and his voice that has been much missed since the days when Radio Cobblers took over. Clearly had a real passion for the club and did all of his work on a voluntary basis as far as I know.
I remember many a cheeky comment towards the away team during his time on the mic!
RIP Pete and thoughts with the family x

Stunned that the red wasn't overturned despite even Posh staff saying they didn't think it was a sending off. Could be a huge hindrance to an already almost impossible task.

I'm in agreement with the idea of looking down the pyramid at managers who have performed well rather than picking up ones who have come out of a job having just had a bad old time of it.
Someone who will see us as a project to build and not just for a step back into work.

I seem to remember him scoring against us at some point late 90's..Then giving our crowd some stick..
Dean Peer...not that he was exceptional, but fitted in well to the Atkins game plan ..
Loved Dean Peer...particularly for his goal at Watford that sparked a mini pitch invasion when we were one and two in the league (L1) and at home to Fulham in a 1-0 home win that was being beamed back to Craven Cottage in the era where Fulham were the mega bucks team of that level. All of their star signings outdone by a galloping cart horse!

If anyone’s got it throw it away They loaned us an injured player last season They ran us up to £200,000 for the hopeless Matt crooks They then sold us the incredible non scoring Van Veen We now want to take an ex manager Oh no no no no no
No no, I meant send Jimmy to them so he can get back into work and hopefully avoids us paying him off!

Hopefully straight into a highly paid football managers job....then we won't have to keep paying him for the remainder of his contract!!
Good point...who's got the number for the Scunny chairman?
