Walsall 0-3 Wigan at the break...defeat for Saddlers would leave them within four points with the same games played. Could be a good target with plenty of others having games in hand on us.

Trying to work out where the four wins may come from...looking at Fleetwood, Bury and Oldham and then possibly Plymouth at home if we can match last night's showing.

Hilda pulled away by Grimes after raiding his arms as well . Mathis was poor for their goal - powder puff challenge
I noticed Ash rushing over to Berto a couple of times when he looked like he was about to lose it.

So much better tonight!
Plenty of fight shown (bit too much from JJOT!) from the start and just the type of home performance we were looking for against a good Shrews side.
Boris ran his socks off and I enjoyed him geeing up the crowd, John-Joe was excellent until his red, Bunney showed character after Saturday and Facey looked class. I would have thrown Aryibi on slightly earlier as he looked like the only one who could realistically win it or create that chance but that's a minor gripe as we looked much happier to hold the point. KvV doesn't look 100% yet but showed touches of class.
Fair play to JFH for leaving two up top after the red card.
Really hoping this isn't too late...it's the hope that kills you of course!

What “biscuit” was the subject of an inland revenue investigation and why?
Was this to do with the Jaffa Cake and whether the tax on them should be for a cake or a biscuit?

Morning...welcome to Poet's corner, midweek special...
Here we go again, it’s another Tuesday night Praying for a miracle, for some kind of fight Rotherham came, they saw and took the points with ease And Town fans once again ended up far from pleased
Early exits from the stands and more boos at the end It seems like it’s driving young Jimmy round the bend But it’s his job to put right, his job to fix What’s he got left in his bag of tricks?
The Shrews come to town with their eyes on promotion But if they come and take the points there’ll be one heck of a commotion Unless the Town show us some kind of life And show that they can take us out of this strife
All we ask is for some sort of proper formation With players in their right places, in their correct station And not one of us will even find it the slightest but funny If Jimmy persists on the left side with poor Bunney
What’s left in the tank? Have we got it inside? To summon up the strength to show some kind of pride? To those in the stands, let’s sing and stand tall Let’s be with the Town with every kick of the ball
There’s still time to turn it, still time to ensure That League One is our fate, that hope is our cure So come in your droves, let’s alter the course And show Jimmy Floyd that we can still be a force

I feel sorry for him as it can't be nice to get a reaction like saturday but when he's as crap as he is sentiment can't get in the way.
We need to be doing everything we can to try and stay up and that means Bunney should be nowhere near the team.
I do wonder whether Rochdale played him as a left back or further forward. I feel sorry for him if he's playing completely out of position - would we boo JJOT if he played at right back and had a stinker, for example?

This is the most disappointing thing for me. I want to come away from every game thinking that our players have put a shift in, worked hard for the fans and deserved some plaudits at the end of it. Even in defeat.
One supporter in front of me summed up the general feeling on Saturday, when he stood up at the barrier after the third goal went in and was shouting:
"Have you got any fight in you? Are you Cobblers or not? Stand up and fight!"
The answer seems to be a resounding "No" at the minute. I want to see that the players care, not stood around with hands on their hips looking disappointingly at each other as we get walked over. Jimmy needs to get the players fighting, and he doesn't seem capable of that at the minute, or putting players on the pitch who would want to fight for us when those on the pitch show that they don't.
Yep - the amount of loan players can't help (which hugely hindered Stuart Gray in 2009) ... having no connection to the club and knowing that next season you can go back to your parent club and all will be rosy again can't inspire many.

Spot on re: Wilder - the only manager we've had in the last few years who hasn't been stubborn in his ways and who has actually had a connection to the fans.

I do feel for the lad getting all the stick when he's clearly out of position. Bench him for the next two and maybe bring him on left wing for the last ten mins or so. Needs a rebuilding job and surely Jimmy can see that...right?!

Saturday was the first time I'd have to agree. Some of the selections have been baffling to say the least and unless he can get over his own stubbornness (where have we heard that before?!) and produce performances that make us even slightly believe we're not going down then he's got to be on the way unfortunately.
If he was picking a team with players in the right position and they were being sent out with a mentality to fight for every ball and we were being beaten by quality then I'd hold my hands up and say he should stay but that just isn't the case at the moment.

Picking the team is only half the job - sending them out with the right mentality is just as important.
That being said:
O'Donnell - no doubts, has been a solid performer
Facey - Reinstate ... was a stand out signing and needs to be back in Taylor - No need to replace Turnbull - As above Buchanan - One of the more important replacements - get him back now
Aryibi - Needlessly dropped on Saturday, pace and creativity JJOT - Get him scrapping in the middle of the park McWilliams - Another vital one ... no idea why he's been left out constantly Foley - Big presence and will put himself about
KvV - No brainer after a brief cameo at the weekend. Needs to start if fit Long - In theory should work well with a big partner
