No sure if you are joking or not , none of them have played in the Prem,  far from it in fact . There's nothing Bollox  of about the 3 mk players and we havnt produced one and that we don't have our own training ground . They are facts . I could genuinly name past players that laugh at their time here and the facilities available, one of them an esteemed ex captain . I wont but I could . And anyway , I don't need to, just do a vague comparison with almost any other club to see

But, with respect . I do understand there are many like you , who with the  trust are just happy to continue our 40 year hiatus from any sort of progress and just keep on sacking managers
4  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Trust Making Bid for Fan Ownership? on: December 02, 2018, 19:40:23 pm
Look, the club is going no where until someone takes a long term view and starts to build from it's foundations , the main reason isn't a succession of poor managers it's because the facilities are nowhere near at the requires standard . No proper medical department ,  no proper all conditions training facilities , it's national league stuff . Manager after manager keep telling us so. We have produced hardly anything in the last 15 years MK come along and bang out Sheyi Ojo , Bredan Galloway and Dele Ali right under our noses . Nobody bats an eyelid . I havnt seen any literature from the trust to suggest that bettering the facilities are even on the agenda

Rolled out the red carpet for Cardoza whenever he saw fit , let that fat Scumbag scab threaten concerned supporters with legal action and censored worried fans . They was sh!he scared of the bloke and they failed to report fairly and balanced views on the subject

Havnt read it since

Do I remember a game where Karl Henry roughed up Joey Barton so much that he cried off  in a Wolves Newcastle game ?

When Mick Mcarthy was questioned about Joeys treatment in the interview after the game he said " Well , he's no shrinking violet himself "  Grin Grin

I Miss Mick . Decent fella

Yes, I can see that.

Who the hell is Norman  Huh?

You, you're boring

From now on, I'm calling you Norman
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Karl Henry? on: November 05, 2018, 20:09:00 pm
I think your keyboard has a full stop missing Mr Jellyby.

Hello Norman ,

I don't do things like that

10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Karl Henry? on: November 05, 2018, 19:53:21 pm
I suppose it's important to get someone in who you know and trust, but you would have thought the supply would be a priority

I always like a decent hard centre mid though so it's a yes from me
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Poppy shirts on: November 05, 2018, 18:22:03 pm
His age, his nationality, being a billionaire and the fact Miss Thailand was on board are all irrelevant - except what is says about you in mentioning those things. Many chairmen can be mean and unpleasant despite being rich, as we have found more than once. He was generous unlike many rich people and he believed in the wider family of the football community. The fact we're 3 divisions down and a small club is irrelevant - we are part of that wider family of the sport.

It's the irrelevance that is my overwhelming point

I realise im in the minority because clubs up and down the contry did the same . Anyhow , do as you wish , I spent my time thinking and honouring the many who fought and died for our values and the freedoms of expression  , my families war efforts and the club's very honourable roots . IMO that is sacred for the remembrance game

12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Poppy shirts on: November 05, 2018, 05:41:41 am
And a stupid thought at that. It was a football related tragedy, and was thus worthy of a moments compassion from the wider football family.

I think it's a bit disingenerous to call me stupid you knuckle dragging half wit .

There's a football related tragedy every week if you want one just no billionaires  , didn't  a chap pass away at a Wolves game last week too,  why didn't he qualify ?
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Poppy shirts on: November 04, 2018, 19:11:49 pm
Slightly out of whack but any idea why we observed a minutes silence for all those hero's who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and a 60 year old Thai billionaire who crashed his chopper with Miss Thailand on board ?

I know most stadiums did the same but and although very sad he has absolutely no relevance to anyone at Teyn whatsoever

I'm proud of my family's efforts in the War and the sacrifice that they made and the game before armistice day is always a special one for me , especially with our own Mr  Walter Tull

Was like,  we're having a minutes silence anyway so may as well stick the Leicester guy in aswell

I sometimes feel we're losing it meaning

Anyway,  it's a broader point than just a Cobblers thing , was just a thought
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Head Down Hoskins on: November 04, 2018, 07:44:16 am
I really despair at how woefully inadequate the average NTFC fan is in terms of footballing know-how.

Hoskins will always be one of the first names on the team sheet, because he is one of our best players.

For those of you who wonder at his goal ratio...... tell me, what were the instructions he had from his manager (s)?  Have you ever wondered that your fantasy-land of blinkered football-ness fails to outweigh manager after manager who plays him, time and time again.....Huh?

How do opposing managers cope with him?

We have probably the best manager of lower-level football.  He knows that playing Hoskins is like having an extra man on the pitch.

You really are a bunch of thick-headed, clueless, knuckle-dragging, sub-cognitive vacuums.....

Are you the best supporter in Div2?  No.....  You are are a clueless, self-obsessed half-wit, who doesn't even have the where-with-all to understand self-pleasure, let alone perform it.

I absolutely agree Mrs Hoskins , I think more players put his effort in then we'll be in a better place

Not exactly Beckham with his crosses but certainly a credit
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Head Down Hoskins on: November 03, 2018, 22:44:50 pm
I got no issues with the guy , always puts in a shift

We all know his weakness , one thing Curle has done is to play to his strengths,  why keep him so far wide when he struggles with crossing . I think he poses a constant problem to opposition at the moment

16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Crewed. on: November 03, 2018, 22:39:44 pm
It's a refreshing change to have such a pragmatic manager after the naive idealism of recent incumbents.

The defenders have clearly been instructed to launch it into the channels at every opportunity. Not pretty and, by Curle's own admission not always effective, but it does result in simplicity and clarity which I think is what players at this level need. I'd certainly rather watch that than Crewe's painful attempts to play it out from the back which Curle managed to disrupt with ease.

The foundation is much more solid now which means that the league one quality provided by the likes of Van Veen and Crooks is much more telling.

Personally I'd be starting Powell on current form. Hoskins provides more defensive cover, which I think is why he keeps getting the nod, but Powell carries much more of a goal threat.

But to be fair , they was leaving acres in behind so why not hit the space . There was an air of Boothroyd around today wasn't there . What with Nichols , Artell and smashing long balls
It's pragmatic stuff and pragamatisism is a handy trait to have as a Cobbler

18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hold Em Steady (For the Mods, this is about Northampton v Oldham) on: October 27, 2018, 21:15:00 pm
I find this chastising of refs frankly quite boring , I like Foley but if he caught him anywhere near his knee as has been suggested then he had to go and he can have no complaints , Curle certainly didn't have a great deal to say about it

A few other decisions here and there I could quibble about but that's football

More importantly , if I was a player looking at this thread after putting in a proper shift like that i would be a bit p%ssed at the lask of praise.

Stop moaning about it , that was good solid performance that we can all be encouraged with

19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hakeem Odoffin on: October 21, 2018, 19:32:58 pm
But he got a point.he struggled for 10 mins curls changes it so he went to the middle. He then acquitted himself well.

You are right and I should have opened up with the fact that he needed to grow into the game for me making the whole thing more impressive . You are wrong though with suggest the fella had a point though , because , well , he didn't

To suggest Dolphin will never be a footballer in a million years says more about Razor than it does about Dolphin
