NTFC SCFC = W W Prom W D Prom W L Prom D W PO D D Prom D L Prom L W PO L D Prom L L Prom
I like that. That's gives us a 77.7% chance of Promotion doesn't it? The odds are in our favour.

Whatever happens, let's hope it is fair and without controversy or a fall guy. Any idea who the ref is? Our TV record is mixed with more losses than wins but that includes a lot of Cup games against higher opposition and play-offs. We haven't had many regular league games live and I reckon it's 3 wins and 3 losses.
Home v Swansea Nov 2003 Won 2-1 Home v Bristol City Aug 2006 Lost 1-3 Away v Brentford Feb 2007 Won 1-0 Away v Luton Oct 2007 Lost 1-4 Home v MK Sep 2016 Won 3-2 Away v Salford 2023 Lost 1-2
Any corrections welcome.

I can understand your point but it takes one result away. Instead of needing a win or draw we now have to win the game, so our chances are reduced.
100% agree with you on this. It does reduce our chances of course it does. Today was the worst result imaginable and especially in the circumstances coupled with a Stockport win. Unless we have at least a two goal lead next week we’re only one goal away from it going pear-shaped again.

Would have much preferred going to Tranmere knowing a point would be enough. Now we HAVE to win. Got to hope the players lift themselves well in the week. I’m going to take some lifting However, if we play like that second half today we should beat Tranmere with ease, fingers crossed. I don’t think I have the mental energy for playoffs.

Yes but remember Shrewsbury etc . We are bonded to the club move than the players(who come and go). We go up they move on,we stay down they move on. Let people have their fun or football dies and becomes a spectator sport, not a sport of passion.
I get that. I was quick to clamber over the fence at Shrewsbury. Done it a few other times too. I just think more people would see more of the players celebrating by remaining in the stands. Maybe it’s an age thing(!)

If we do win - Remember to stay off the pitch. Thems the rules (laws actually)! I have probably done my fair share of celebratory pitch invasions. Would actually like to see the players and staff celebrate properly in front of us and laps of honour etc. (Yes im getting old, 49 to be precise).

In my reckoning I always had Stevenage as going up and we were vying for 3rd spot with the chasing pack. I reckon Stockport or Carlisle will win their last two which means we’d still need two points due to their superior GD. I have a feeling we will draw 1-1 with Bradford meaning a point needed at Tranmere which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world but would SO much rather sew it up on Saturday. I don’t want any more last day drama.

Orient have made 6 changes to their team tonight.
Their first choice and ever present keeper Vigaraux got injured in the warm up Sonia no longer in the side. Not ideal. They also play Stockport and Bradford. Don’t need to be helping those sides!

After a crowd of just over 7000 yesterday and a sell out coming next week our average home attendance this season will be over 5900. It has often been said that that we budget for an average of 5000 in which case home gate receipts will be 18-19% above budget.
A sell out on Saturday will bring us just short of the 2005/06 average but it still means we will have our best average 4th tier attendance for 17 years, just over 5900 or 75% of capacity.

It's fantastic that Super Sam has won the POTS award at the EFL ceremony. Bradford fans are up in arms which is quite funny. Cook has been a good goalscorer but Hoskins is scoring goals when playing out wide or even as a wing-back. He brings so much more to the team than just goals with his high energy, assists and versatility. Well done Sam. Be great for him to get the winner on Saturday with Andy Cook drawing a blank.

We need to not be blind-sided by our current 5 point cushion which sounds lovely but if Bradford win their game in hand they would be just 3 points behind. Currently GD is equal between us. That match next weekend is ultra critical regardless of what happens tomorrow. Bradford play host to Gillingham who are pony away from home so I can't see anything other than a home win. We are playing unbeaten in 6 Harrogate so it's no gimme, although I feel we should be good enough to beat them even with the walking wounded playing, and probably by at least 2 goals. Stockport v Rochdale looks a home banker to send the Dale down bless them. Carlisle have a tricky trip to Barrow in the Cumbrian derby so I'll say they will lose. Stevenage I have kind of assumed they will finish top 3 due to their current position and game in hand, however they have 3 away games out of 4 and have only won 5 away games all season. Away to Mansfield I would assume a home win. This would leave the table tomorrow like this: P Pts 1. Orient 43 87 2. Northampton 44 80 3. Stevenage 43 76 / (+3pts if win game in hand)
4. Stockport 44 75 5. Bradford 43 74 / 77 (+3pts if win game in hand)
6. Carlisle 44 72

The final 3 East Stand blocks are still not open Online and neither is the South Stand. Looked at Harrogate's ticket site to see if it would say which stand they are in but no indication. If they put Harrogate in the South then those last 3 blocks could be opened up to home fans with plenty of seats together. Someone at work who doesn't usually go has just bought 3 front row tickets. Not what he wanted but that's the only row with 3 together. I wonder if people have been put off because of this?

I bet a fair few would make a fuss.
Agreed, something should have been done to fill it though!
I guess if they did an offer of say £10 tickets in the South Stand you would have people complaining who have spent £22 on theirs elsewhere in the ground. I’m a STH so it wouldn’t bother me. I guess the other option is put Harrogate in the South and open up the East corner to Cobblers. They aren’t on sale yet so would add another 500 or so availability. Would be nice to get another 7,000 plus gate.

What happened last night was something out of the ordinary. The fact that we were only playing Sutton who are 10th is in some ways irrelevant.
At the end of the game there was a special moment. The players came to the fans and you could really see that they appreciated, and I think had been lifted, by the level of support.
At the same time the fans gave their wholehearted appreciation for the astonishing level of effort the whole team had put in, and the vital result they had just delivered. This was not a meaningless game in the context of the season. The chips were really down and the team delivered with some players performing unfamiliar roles. It was a mutual exchange of true appreciation of what the players and the fans had given each other. It may all sound totally over the top, but I think you had to be there to fully appreciate that moment.
I wasn’t at the game but watched on ifollow and I also got that same feeling despite not being there. It felt quite emotional really that despite everything thrown at us we are finding a way. The bond between players, management, staff and fans is something special right now. If promotion is secured it will reach new levels.

After last night's terrific performance and result we need to switch our attention to Saturday. A game which will be no gimme. They are on a run of one defeat in ten games, ours is slightly better of course. Maybe they will relax a bit as it looks like they have probably done enough to survive? We need to fill Sixfields for this. Harrogate will barely fill the East corner so the South Stand should be opened up to Cobblers fans. Ticket sales are going well currently. Only availability is: 90 in West Stand 89 in North 160 in East
You would think in the next few days we should sell out so open up 900 in the South. Make a big announcement, even offer some at a special rate if needs be. Let's fill Sixfields.

Win the next two and we’re up. That Bradford game will be absolutely massive. We can’t be promoted before it as they have a pesky game in hand which isn’t played until the final midweek on May 3rd. We don’t want to be sweating on that result ahead of the Tranmere game.

Bloody fantastic on and off the pitch tonight. Immense character shown again in the face of adversity. Probably our best win of the season under the circumstances. Promotion is in our own hands. Win the next two and we’re up. I’m sure it won’t be that simple thoigh!
