1  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: NCCC Season 2025 on: Today at 09:06:44
We certainly are capable of batting first and defending the total as before the Durham game we had defended our total against the Bears and Derby.

Nice of you to say so, thanks that makes me very happy.
3  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: NCCC Season 2025 on: July 18, 2025, 22:07:55 pm
That’s what you call a trouncing.
4  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: NCCC Season 2025 on: July 18, 2025, 20:42:54 pm
Then Pope goes for 11 and Bopara 19 making it 76 runs from the last 5 overs. Durham walking this and are over halfway there in 8 overs and only need 8 an over from the last 12.

What or where is PTS?
6  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: NCCC Season 2025 on: July 18, 2025, 20:35:09 pm
Need some quick wickets, Durham well ahead of the required rate. Last 3 overs from Scrimshaw (19), Zaib (15) and Proctor (12) went for 46 runs.

I think it is best to ignore Ziggz's posts, he doesn't seem to know much about the game.
8  The Hotel End / Other Football & Sport / Re: NCCC Season 2025 on: July 18, 2025, 19:16:33 pm
Since the fall of the first wicket we have only scored 19 in 3.1/2 overs, les than a run a ball. Bears going well and if we lose we could finish 4th with a 1/4 final game away to the winners of the southern group.

Aaron Pierre has joined Eastleigh.

Another big name failure was Ron Flowers.
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Rise of Sam Hoskins on: July 18, 2025, 12:43:48 pm
I rarely go to pre season games now but as it is supporting Sam's fund I will be there. I assume you are sending a donation Marvo.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Kits 25/26 on: July 18, 2025, 12:41:42 pm
A definite no from me to a quartered kit I didn't like the blue and brown one.
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Rise of Sam Hoskins on: July 18, 2025, 08:57:30 am
Nobody knows how he would have got on if he had moved to a top division 1 team with better players around him it could have made him an even better player and he could have been part of a promotion winning team. It is all a mater of opinion and there can be no certainty of how things might have panned out. Let's just be grateful for what he has done for NTFC. His goals got us promoted and the next season were mainly responsible for a mid table finish and during the last 3 seasons no other player has contributed a significant goal scoring contribution.
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Kits 25/26 on: July 17, 2025, 23:46:03 pm
Wasn’t keen on the 3rd strip but the home kit isn’t bad.
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours Thread on: July 17, 2025, 20:18:45 pm
Having had him on loan I wonder why Oxford then signed him on a permanent contract if he wasn't that good.
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours Thread on: July 17, 2025, 19:37:37 pm
Indeed there was 7 pages before the comments I have posted but the last post before these was 20 months ago in December 2023.

That is every post Manny, show me where somebody says he doesn't even look like a footballer because it isn't there. You must be looking in a different place to The Yellows board.
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours Thread on: July 17, 2025, 19:02:29 pm
So here are all of the comments from The Yellows board. As it is on a black background I didn't know how successful it would be to copy and paste but here they all are

Good luck Jordan

Good luck to him, hopefully it is a success for him.

Thanks Jordan all the best for the future.

Good luck Jordan and thanks.

All the best JT, amodel pro.

Solid L1 player, was quality in his loan spell but never hit the same levels in his 2nd spell. Good luck to him at N'pton.

Good luck to the guy and hopefully he can get a permanent move out of it and get some regular game time.

Good luck to him and nice from us to be supporting some of the smaller local clubs.

Yes, good luck to him. Been a loyal servant even when not getting game time.

Best of luck - good player is JT but we really have come a long way in a short space of time.

Echo what others have said good luck to him.

Really pleased for him. Always played like a warrior but clearly not a move that worked out here. Not helped by Brown getting better by the month.

Seems like a really good guy and did well on the couple of occasions he was called on last season. His recall by Blackpool in 2022-23 season seemed to coincide with the bottom falling out of our season, which probably was not entirely coincidental. All the best to him at N'pton.

Solid pro who was ready to play when asked upon - stayed reasonably fit - sort of in the Joe Skarz mould. Had an excellent loan spell and looked a good permanent signing. Not quite Championship with us but did so at Blackpool. Great local move for him.

No comments like that where I looked. All pleased that he had found another club, model professional, never let the team down.
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours Thread on: July 17, 2025, 17:20:39 pm
Looking at the Oxford forum they only seem to have good things to say about Thornlley. 1 poster says it is good that they can help their smaller local clubs.
