Just shows a lack of thought that he might possibly need a plan B. He has one winger in the squad, finally feels the pressure too play 4 at the back and has to play a striker on the right of midfield.
What a complete and utter numpty.

HE WILL NOT SIGN A WINGER AS HE DOESNT PLAY WITH WINGERS - ASK ANY GILLS FAN
He has proved with Saturdays selection he will not change formation
But surely he can't be that stupid to play Richards & Revell up front and not play any wingers? Not even a fan would pick a formation to do that.... He says in every interview he is open to change...

I can't state how incredibly important it is that he signs at least 1 WINGER this week before the deadline. If he doesn't it shows what kind of formation he is going to stick with until January. (or however long he lasts) If he does seem open to change I'll stick with him. If he doesn't, he's lost one of the last remaining people that doesn't think he should be sacked yet. (not that I'm a fan of him)

Also maybe there is some weird quirk where you are not allowed to win a game while your name sake festival is on. Lets wait till after the fringe for the 'Edinburgh Out' plaques.

Edinburgh has backed himself into a corner with his stubboness. He thought he could get away with 3-5-2 without having to WB to properly play it. The squad shouts of lack of thought process and half ass choices. He hasn't got a back-up plan and now can't play anyother formation unless he
SIGNS TWO PROPER WINGERS THIS WEEK
This needs to happen to have the flexibility to play 442, 451, 433 etc. Having 1 winger in the squad at this stage is a sackable offence, even without the shambles that has happened otherwise. Unless he does this this week and changes formation for the next game, I will be the next to join the Edinburgh Out club regardless if we win or not.

I also as soon as I saw the starting XI knew we would lose. It was so obvious that we have lost a derby because of the stubboness of a manager. Thats why people want him gone, because he believes he is right and isn't open to change. It's patronising. First goal was shockingly bad defending, 2nd the same, although when its going against you, it goes against you. The ref was shockingly bad and denined physics for awarding Boro that throw that led to the goal. It would not have made one jot of difference to the overall result as Boro hardly got out of 2nd gear. They showed how to play with wingbacks. Both were midfielders with lots of energy, even playing a rw at lwb cutting inside. They could have been exposed if we used the wings to play Powell and a future RW that JED's ineptitude has failed to sign for us. The only thing I enjoyed was watching Grimes travel and pass with the ball. Clearly a step up in player.

The more time that goes on, the more this whole 'saga' reminds me of Wilkinson.
I am staggered to tune in from my holiday to find out that Revell and Rico are playing up top as a pair. From the start. I know Long was meant to but we've still got Waters, Lobjolt, Icofano. Theres other options FFS.
We've seen 20 plus times that those two do not compliment each other one bit. I doubt theres a single person, other than JED, who would pick the pair.
You then add the 'wing back' farce, the goalkeeping farce. He's signed 14 players, many of them of a really high standard, yet appears to have neglected the two ends of the pitch that win and lose you a tight game. Which is most games. Why did the chairman even allow him to sign the lad yesterday? He might be brilliant, but he's not what we need. Spend the money where its needed to be spent.
We are 3 games in. May will say its too early to sack him. But its already got to the point where I want a 5-0 Bristol Rovers defeat to force KT's hand. We won't progress under JED Im afraid. Short term pain for long term gain. Page should have gone after Stourbridge, I have my concerns that KT will drag his heels again and effectively waste this season. I hope not.
If we win today, great. But it will delay the inevitable. In the same way that winning at Port Vale and Oxford delayed Page's execution.
JED has today effectively handed in his resignation letter. I am fuming, just cannot believe his team selection. Bloke is totally clueless.
You just can't disagree with any of this

3 up front have no idea how to play together. I'd rather have one of our many extra midfielders in there. Its not that bad people are overeacting. A lot more possession, to little chances. Grimes needs to come on.
