Well, in all honesty, I don't think we can claim to have been unlucky this season. Having one of your players sent off for being stupid is unlucky stupid. Look at the winning goal against Peterborough for a start!
I didn't claim that we have been unlucky?

You mean like the goal we scored Tuesday that came from a massive deflection? That sort of thing?
Yes. The consensus was that we would have gone onto win. And then Bowie did what he did so it evened itself out. So, what does that tell you? When we the little things go our way, we will win.

I really don't have a worry at the minute, we play some good stuff, it's frustrating, but isn't football always when you don't win. The little things just aren't going are way, but they will soon. If the players start to lose confidence with consistently losing and it becomes a rut?...then I will start to worry.

The one problem I do have with Brady is his unwillingness to make a couple of changes especially when playing two games a week. Teams playing high tempo pressing games always seem to change the team around when playing midweek now. I see no reason why he hasn't at least swapped the wing backs either today or against Orient, Koiki for Brough seems a low risk decision. and Odimayo for Lintott/McGowan especially considering Odimayo's recent injury issues. These seem to be the major reasons for injuries.

Have seen 10 years olds defend better than Hondermarck did there, so slow and lacking effort, so disappointing considering he's just come on and we're defending a lead in injury time with 10 men.
It was Lintott that should have been covering to help out initially, Brady went mad at him, but everybody could see it coming.

not quite sure where ntfc are getting there stats from, but if it's the grande old book like me, there is some adding up to do between southern league and football league appearances. I've double checked it a lot. Yes, don't mention how sad I am. But due to my calculations, (and yes I include the charity shield)
Hoskins is now level 5th overall appearances with Joe Kiernan and Billy Watson, not 7th?
And he is stand alone in 10th overall goals overtaking Don Martin.
Overtaken Kiernan in league appearances. Overtaken Tommy Wells in league goals.

I do enjoy your match previews, so before I go any further, thanks! However, I think Cheltenham, with their grand total of 0 goals, might just be the division's lowest scorers
you could say as they haven't scored, they can't be considered the lowest of the scorers....

Has anyone got any inside knowledge of the status there? I can understand why they are cancelling performances late on (until the 8th) but no indication of whether they are close to reopening. They must be getting concerned on cash flow and told customers refunds could take 60 days.
Just didn’t know whether any actual building work is taking place there?
They are reopening from mid october.

In his defence , most of the Wilder team had already been 'disposed of or released' prior to him taking over.
I think Brady has proved that you don't need a turnover of players, when going up a division. That was our best team in 20 years. As stated Byrom was thrown under the bus at Boro. It's worse than that, it was his first and only start under Page. Lawson D'Ath didn't start a game. Alfie Potter hardly got a look in. Rod McDonald started 2 league games, one right at the end at Bristol, another thrown in without playing any games. Prefered his signing of Alex Revell over Marc Richards, and while Revell wasn't bad, he was exactly the same type of player as Marc and only a year younger.

Well that's obvious, Tom Youngs may have moved on years ago, but his legacy as Cobblers Reading Champion lives on. More books than goals.
If only we'd signed Graeme Le Saux at the same time towards the end of his career. Just because he read the guardian.

The problem is it should have been done when the stadium opened if you were to have for instance a double statue of captain/manager Foley/Bowen. It's been pretty much the same amount of time between reaching the first division/opening sixfields/present day. Not that we shouldn't remember, but there will be a lot of people who won't have a clue who they are...maybe thats why it should be built though. Nobody in the last 50 years I would say is deserving of a permanent reminder to that extent.
Except if Hoskins leads us to the prem...

Well, his career since being sacked has shown he is a pretty decent manager. Once you all get bored of Brady and start banging on about his lack of experience I'll take him back. Unless of course Calderwood gets the job.
Don't tell my brother-in-law that, follows Wales away, mentions all the flaws that we saw in him (no way to change a game etc). The only reason he got the job was because of Giggs. The only reason they got to the world cup was because of Bale. They tolerated him in qatar, and all want him gone now.
