I was born in the Hotel End My claret scarf’s been a lifelong friend
I remember… Farrington and Stratford, Mabee and Aidy Mann Martin Smith and Rico, and Jonjo’s caravan
Scott McGleish and Sammo, and Bobby Barnes’s tricks Peter Gleasure, Woody, and Welch between the sticks
Morley, Hill and Benjamin, the team of Graham Carr’s And I remember Shrewsbury and Pat McGavin’s arse!
Razor, Tony Adcock and Graham Reed were class And Ally Gibb who scored the goal that put away the Gas
40, 000 went to Wembley to get behind the Teyn And in the 93rd there was the famous Johnny Frain
In the pouring rain we went to Liverpool FC And I saw Abdul Osman score the winning penalty
50 years a Cobblers fan and still I cannot wait For 7.45pm to take on Harrogate!

Welcome to the Cobblers Mr Wright-Phillips. Does anyone else remember a 2-leg League cup tie against West Ham which we won? Ian Wright criticised us for putting 11 men behaind the ball in the second leg and then said he hoped Tottenham would beat us in the next round (which they did, 3-1). This from an Arsenal player!

Hang on - we are still 3rd in the table whatever the results today, we have had a tough run of games against many of the top sides and we have had many inuries. Mr Brady is building something better than we have had for many years and I feel we should stick with him. Besides, why would we want to go back to the manager merry-go-round?

Watched a cracking Devon derby last night - no quarter asked or given, plenty of juicy tackles. Refereed really well by that nice Mr Brakespeare; Red cards - nil; Yellow cards - nil.

Thanks for the kind words pal. I thoiught it looked 50/50 too and the gaffer was booked for his protest. Fisrt time in many, many games we have a got a result after going down to 10 men, and against the O's I would have taken a point with 11 on the pitch. Good game up until the sending off, and then you were doing the attacking. Regarding other teams, we had something of a soft start and have not played many of the bigger hitters. I rate Bradford from what I have seen and feel they, Mansfiled you and us will be in the mix. Looking forward to Stevenage next week - surprise package. All the best for the rest of the season.

The Committee has been interested to hear Leeds United fans singing 'American Boy' and have come up with a few efforts for Cobblers players. With apologies for the vintage of the songs - here are some new words;
To the tune of 'The Hokey Cokey) - only works if the player's name is pronounced KoyKey
You put your left arm in, your left arm out In, out, in, out and shake it all about You do the Ali Koiki and you turn around That's what it's all about Oh Ali Ali Koiki Oh Ali Ali Koiki Oh Ali Ali Koiki Knees bend arms stretch North-amp-ton!
To the tune of 'Wig Wam Bam' by Sweet
Super Sam - he is the main man Super Sam - try to catch him oif you can Super Sam - you gotta understand He is on the right, down the middle, on the left He's the one and only Super Sam!
To the tune of 'Rasputin' by Boney M
Shaun McWilliams, he's one in a million He shakes your nerves and he rattles your bones Shaun McWilliams, he's worth bloody millions He makes us pround and he's one of our own
To the tune of 'Starman' by David Bowie (no relation)
There's a Starman playing for the town You just cannot stop him, he's gonna shoot you down There's a Starman playing in attack He came from F in Fulham and he's never going back And we say He is Keiran Bowie He is Keiran Bowie He is Keiran Bowie
