1  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Reading (a) on: Yesterday at 17:51:55
Anyone know if tickets are available to buy tomorrow ?

Plenty.
2  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Supporters Advisory Board: Proposed Agenda Items (Date of next meeting TBC) on: Yesterday at 12:47:41
Thanks Deepcut for this

1. / 2. Essential  -  North 1st as that will create space elsewhere in the ground for away fans. Do fans want us to spend £2-£3+ on away fans facilities while home fans go without?

Corners really nice but very very expensive

3 - 10  Most of it pretty obvious

One big question missing....  who is going to do it and pay for it?
Do you think your associates Cildara will give us some money?
3  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Reading (a) on: March 27, 2024, 17:35:23 pm
Another away following of 1K+.

4  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Derby County (h) 23.3.24 on: March 24, 2024, 05:22:25 am
Burge and EIGHT defenders injured (not including the injured again McGowan and Moore) and we keep a clean sheet against 2nd in the table Derby.

STUNNING!

6  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: League One 2023 Wage Bills on: March 23, 2024, 05:59:38 am
Well that doesn't make sense. If I were to win the Euro Lottery, say 500 million, how could I invest in the club ON THE PITCH if I can't spend my money because my turnover is too low? Or does  adonation from me count as part of the turnover?
That is the problem teams like Newcastle have, the owners have the money to spend but the cap rightly restricts them to a percentage of turnover.
7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Derby County (h) 23.3.24 on: March 22, 2024, 05:00:19 am
Bowie only played 60 minutes last night so maybe a chance he will play Saturday.
8  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: March 20, 2024, 13:00:08 pm
Does anybody know how long Homes England and the Land Registry are going to take?

Hopefully not as long as the CPS, who have taken years and cost the tax payer millions of pounds for NO decision!!!
9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Injury Updates.... on: March 19, 2024, 13:05:34 pm
I don't recall  Dave Mackay, Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter, Chopper Harris , Tommy Smith etc missing a load of games through injury, perhaps todays players although physically fitter cannot cope with with the rigours of the modern game.
It was their opponents who got the injuries after a kicking!!!
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Get Well Soon James. on: March 19, 2024, 05:44:48 am
Return to full health soon James.

I had recent dealings with James and he was so professional and detailed in his responses and he is an asset to NTFC.

Not really, they pay the bills but they, then, add it to the debt
Yes really, because they are liable for the debt!
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Wycombe (a) Sat. 16th March on: March 17, 2024, 11:10:32 am
I think the lack of continuity, especially defensively, is catching up with us.

I hope after the Derby game we can finish with a settled side until the end of the season.
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Grade the Cobblers on: March 15, 2024, 17:00:34 pm
Errrrr it’s the owners who have to invest in the stadium, you kind of contradict yourself by saying that the owners are doing a good job and then saying that the stadium is cràp, the owner has enough money to keep the stadium looking better than it is currently.
Errrr why is it the owners who have to pay out of their own pocket to improve the current stadium?

Haven't you noticed we are loosing money EVERY season?

Oh you are spending other peoples money AGAIN!

16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Blackpool (h) on: March 13, 2024, 06:59:53 am

Glad we've got to the 50 point mark as can't see many more coming our way...

Our season was always going to be judged by the results against the lower teams not the top 6. We have teams like Carlisle, Fleetwood and Cheltenham to play so keep the faith.

We might be down to just 7 out injured by then!!!
17  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: March 11, 2024, 03:35:46 am
I posted my "vision" of what we need in our new Stand, the first post on page 2168, and a few people agreed with what I posted. I really think it's time for all the "Derek posts something and the usual suspect post the opposite" to stop.
What is needed now is for us all to let our owners know that, if we have a stand that doesn't include any future money making facilities such as large home & away bars , with food options and rooms big enough to hold functions, then we need to address this problem before the construction starts. I know our resident Aussie will come make with "It will cost too much" but, in my opinion, it will cost us big style in the future, if we don't finish up with these facilities. Maybe some fan lead fund raising could help? Most League One teams bring a minimum of 1,000 fans and we take virtually nothing off them as we have no facilities for them to spend their money
I know we've been told that there will be bars and the like, but it's time for the fans to stop arguing amongst ourselves, get together and make sure we do get the facilities we desperately need, and that they will be an asset for NTFC long after some of us have gone.
+1

Now is the time to take the opportunity to look forward.

Hopefully the Supporters Advisory Board will focus minds.
18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: 5 game blocks on: March 10, 2024, 10:19:52 am
Did a player spill in a recent interview that the target is 6 in this block,?
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Cambridge Away 9th March on: March 10, 2024, 05:39:16 am
Again ELEVEN missing, therefore well done to get to 50 points.

How many points would we have if all season we carried just 2 or 3 injured players?
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Cambridge Away 9th March on: March 09, 2024, 07:25:29 am
Can you buy tickets on the gate?
We've got 6 extras buying on the gate.

Meeting at the Cambridge pub at 11am...........it could be a bit messy!
