No words can help with a loss for somebody clearly way too young to go.
Deepest condolences to all the family and anyone connected to the club feeling this very sad news. 😢

99.5% of fans do not give a toss about the East Stand, only what happens on the pitch.

Ah yes but the 0.5% voted for the ACV fiasco lol

Once again your unconscious bias links the word special to mental health you need to take a long hard look in the mirror once again you should be ashamed.

Grin Grin Grin Weak attempt at a swerve .
You knew what you were saying just as I knew what you were insinuating

But the point I am making is the debt is being created by the owners, some of our more special fans think KT and DB are somehow bankrolling us out of the goodness of their hearts, when in fact they are using NTFC is an enabler to the land profit with every penny they have put into NTFC recouped and then some at the time of sale.

Following on from your oh so offended post I put up supporting Asperger’s….
You then refer to people with a different view to you as special implying a mental or physical disability.
I suggest you practise what you preach….

lol my favourite bit….
“it’s not for the board of the trust to comment on Cildaras bid”…
But we just did….
Funny that….
I wonder why….?
And not to mention the fact the letter objects to selling the land for logistics purposes….
WTF IS A 50% OF THE PROFIT LORRY PARK THEN?

Interesting letter to WNC just posted on the Trust Website - somewhat outdated now as it was actually sent one month ago and circumstances have now taken over - whilst I have differing views to some expressed by the Trust I can't disagree with the fundamental point on "No Stand, No Land" and still fail to understand why this appears no longer to be a contractual obligation.

.....although I have to say somewhat tongue in cheek there is a bit of irony here because if this clause was in place or indeed the owners fulfil their earlier promise some of the same individuals will then embark on a "how pathetic is the East Stand Development"

lol my favourite bit….

Shame on you, saying someone who has different opinions to you has a mental health condition is embarrassing.

I ain't trawling through the insults I've taken from him.....

Is it only the law breaking that you judge chairmen on and not that of poor performance?
would you say Thomas has been more successful as the chairman of NTFC or that of CDNL?
Do you think your loyalty to the chairman is really warranted when you see how little if any our club has progressed in over several years of his ownership?
What hurdles do you speak of? Football club related hurdles or land getting hurdles?
Does your loyalty to cdnl match that of ntfc?

I'm fully of the belief NTFC will lose all the 23 acres for no redevelopment, the huge debts built up need paying back,
if this proves to be the case, would your loyalty be tested?

I'm looking forward to when CDNL cash in and get gone, leaving ntfc without any future enabling land but at least debt free and able to attract new owners who will be at the club for the club, who are able and willing to work in full co operation with the town and club supporters, rebuilding the club to be where it should be, is this something you'd be happy with?

The ONLY question I can be bothered to answer, because you're boring me so much is this.
My loyalty is to the club and it's owners.
Hence why I still go to home games and buy the merch, go into hospitality.
Unlike you.... Who claims to support NTFC by going to occasional away matches.
New ground at Luton soon, I'd suggest you switch clubs because you are actually as mad as a hatter....

Fair play to you for admitting you were fooled by Cardoza, whilst I agree KT does everything by the book, he certainly isn’t going to do the club any favours either, and stands to make a lot of money from the enabling land some of which should be going into infrastructure for the club.
Personally the timing is very bad at the moment the markets are reeling from what is a worse situation than we have seen since the Second World War not good for putting deals together.
Finally, I prefer to keep my anonymity, which is my business.

understand your points and understand you like to dish it out anonymously 😂
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 30, 2022, 10:13:31 am
Answer the question, I have evidenced your behaviour towards our last 2 owners, you seem to have an unquestionable loyalty towards them, I’m just puzzled as to why that is?

I was fooled by Cardoza.
My loyalty to KT is based on the FACT he hasn't committed a crime he's just doing his best to overcome a ton of hurdles thrown at him from every direction.
Anyway, question for you now... Who are you?
Mr Anon 😆
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 30, 2022, 07:01:32 am
The trigger will be pulled when the times right… Of that I’m sure.

Do you know what mate, much as they all hate KT....i actually don't think he'd do it.
He's a decent bloke.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 30, 2022, 06:59:53 am
Why do you have such blind loyalty to the current owners? I just don’t get it, you did the same thing with Cardoza as well.

Why do you , as do others, tar different people with the same brush?
13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 30, 2022, 06:58:50 am
So what part of my post is inaccurate so I can correct it ?

I do support the club, NTFC,  just not CDNL. Big big difference.

On this one.... Millstone....i think you meant millstone  Grin
On your previous million posts... I'll leave that to those who'll be watching.
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 29, 2022, 11:25:25 am
If you still believe cdnl will put £3m into upgrading the stadium you're going to be very disappointed.
Why should they give ntfc a penny?
They have no obligation to do so.
They are owed several millions in accumulated debts/loans/services rendered that will need paying back first, so that's taken care of the old land fill site, North carpark and the bonus of the running track section of Sixfields stadium taken.
Begrudgingly you have to admire their tenacity in getting the land even if its detrimental to NTFC.

The Northampton  town supporters trust, who we all should be very grateful for, fought a great fight in trying to keep the ACV for future use, all in the face of huge opposition from well meaning but very misguided folk.

So we are where we are, a few weeks away from losing all the 23 acres of future enabling land at Sixfields.
What should have been a Godsend has proven to be a milestone at our club.
If it were a football match, it would read NTFC 0, CDNL 3  and time for us to head for the exit to avoid hearing the celebrations from the victors.

So in the words of the great Rob Page, 'we go again' hopefully debt free and an excellent acquisition for new club only focused owners to take over what is a well respected, historic and centrally located club that has a vast catchment and ripe for investment...
One thing we can be sure of is no more land obsessed owners as we've finally lost all our and the councils land.

Here's to the future after CDNL.
Up the Cobblers.

All I'd say is that you and your band of Merry men should be really pleased that the the chairman's legal adviser isn't so aggressive and abusive as others who've been involved in this saga.
You keep digging and not supporting the club....
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 29, 2022, 06:44:45 am

To be honest Glen this one is less about the personalities and more about trying to share different approaches.

If only they would be willing to do so eh?
I'm just saddened that the whole affair ended up with Cildara involved (somehow) and the process could now  drag on even further with the review.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome with the east stand being fitted out to the same quality that the on field has been.

Well that was easy 😂

Another fantastic signing from CDNL who don’t invest anything in NTFC.
😂

Tel, interesting points - some months ago in a private message to an influential trust member I suggested professional mediation to try to broker dialogue between the club and the trust - this was curtly dismissed as “naive” and when I replied with my commercial experience in these matters I was again rudely told to “drop the ego and I wasn’t the only person with an impressive c.v.” - maybe all correct but one thing my experience has taught me, is that people who don’t listen and are convinced they are 100% on the side of right rarely make good negotiators.

One can only imagine which wonderful person dished out these words to you Peter.
And they wonder why they only get two or three likes on their rarely viewed Facebook posts.
Arrogance at its best….
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: July 27, 2022, 13:57:40 pm
Basically,  if you have just 6400 seats to sell for big games to an inclusive catchment of over 300,000 within 10 miles.
Have no corporate boxes.
No good sized matchday supporters bar.
Zero growth in attendances during the past 20 years.
Low involvement with local business  and sponsorships .

You will be bottom of the teams listed.
Hope that helps.

Wow, the analytical skills of stewed baked beans.
You literally just spew out whatever comes into your head don’t you?
As I said previously, I think you need some professional help David.

Given we're supposedly so tinpot and underdeveloped, I thought this was interesting in the Chron yesterday.

https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/the-league-two-teams-with-the-best-and-worst-infrastructure-and-where-mansfield-town-northampton-town-doncaster-roves-hartlepool-united-crawley-town-and-grimsby-town-rank-3781437

We're pretty much midtable in League 2.

Also, referring to the club's considerable community efforts as "token gestures" is hugely disrespectful to the large number of people who both work and voluntarily give up their time to deliver them. Maybe pick up a copy of Rodney Marshall's book "Only Connect" so you have a clue what you are talking about, Beds?

I couldn’t work that table out could you?
Really didn’t make much sense without an explanation under each score.
