Going well so far. Have to be mindful there is a pause in T20 action soon, but I reckon we've probably dome almost enough to qualify already? We just look a good all round side, no real stars except maybe Willey. Not sure if everyone is aware but there is full coverage on most games on you tube. Really professional coverage it is too. The exception was last night because Sky were covering it. Altogether now. "The County's got no money, but we still win the League" https://youtu.be/p3l7fgvrEKM?si=6RrFnIDNmRCRGqyD

Just stating a fact. And if I was reaction seeking then I can do far better than that. Sometimes you are guilty of over reacting, like when you threw a hissy fit, because I said that I find Alan Carr irritating. Chill out bruv.

Well done to him. I disliked him as a player for various reasons, but that is a very difficult quiz, so fair play.
social media and modern society in a nutshell, in a post. "Fair Play" would have sufficed but you had to add the extra sentence. Why, would you do that unless you were looking for a reaction?

He’s talking about Tzanev, not the new GK
Well now I've read the post Thought Tzaznev was steady, think Burge is steady. Nowhere near our top ten keepers of all time, but nowhere near the worst. If Fitzwotsit is "steady" then that will do as a relatively cheap option.

pretty much single handed destroyed any chance of another Tory government, critical thinking leads to only one conclusion.
I think that was "Trotters up" David Cameron. Brexit was the Tories' undoing. DC could not envisage losing the ballot, very nonchalant view that remain would win. But more so that people would vote after actually analysing the issues at stake rather than just for blue passports

Always like him as a ref thoughts with his family
No nonsense style, he sent off players usually without thinking it through. Remember Jeff Eckhardt in the 97 semi final at Sixfields Uriah reffed that one? There were times he looked fitter than most players always up with play. 65 is no age so yeah he will be missed.

They make my teeth itch! And remind me of the annoying gaggles of nouveau riche estate agents clogging up the “trendy” bars in town. Bad suits, loud voices and Filofaxes 😏
Made me smile that... If you suggested that filofaxes were a British invention, then they would pass a law that everyone carries one as they board their steam powered train, wearing an awful suit with a similar haircut to each other. Coz everyone knows the World was a better place. And Britain ruled the World

Interesting comparisons. With the nature of warfare changing, leading to increased use of exploding pagers/walkie talkies, aerial drones being driven in the back of trucks by unsuspecting locals, tanks are becoming less of a requirement. Poland would have a greater need for them, than the UK, given the fact that they have a border with Russia. Our total would depend upon meeting NATO requirements, but this may increase given Trumpys bollocking about Europe meeting their financial commitments. Perhaps the Major has a view upon this? With regard to the UK providing two thirds of Europes aircraft carrier facilities (France has the other one), thats more than our fair share. The aircraft that you mention, have to be the F35B variant, (A+C are unsuitable for our carriers to use) given the take off and landing techniques required. The aircraft are based at RAF Mareham, and are available at very short notice. The ships do not sail with a full compliment of jets, just the minimum required for operational purposes. The rest are at Mareham. I am sure that long term exposure to salt water, does not agree with their engines. 20 tanks and 35 jets eh? Not sure about those numbers. https://www.army-technology.com/news/british-army-currently-has-213-in-service-challenger-2-tanks/?cf-viewhttps://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/uks-first-batch-of-48-f-35b-jets-nears-completion/#:~:text=While%20the%20first%2048%20aircraft,be%20between%2060%20and%2080. Those rather approximate figures came from Rest Is Politics podcast.

In fairness Patt this was a 30 second conversation with my kids. We couldn't give 2 hoots what their sexuality is, as long as they are happy and being looked after we're good. Is it really necessary to keep banging on about it all the time, we don't care.
Exactly the attitude that most decent parents have about their kids and you should be applauded for it. But the outside World is maybe not so tolerable. here is a short sum up of why pride is a thing from the BBC "Pride is celebrated in the month of June, as that was the month when the Stonewall riots took place. The Stonewall riots were important protests that took place in 1969 in the US, that changed gay rights for a lot of people in America and around the world. Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there's still work to be done. LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. The + is an inclusive symbol to mean 'and others' to include people of all identities. Pride month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. It also calls for people to remember how damaging homophobia was and still can be. Pride is all about being proud of who you are no matter who you love."

From this week's Rest Is Politics. Tanks USA 2500 + China 5000 + Poland 770 UK 20
We currently have 2 serviceable aircraft carriers capable of taking 60-80 F35 planes each. Currently we have only 33 F35 planes carrying our flag

In other news, our lovely, cuddly new council has announced they will not be flying rainbow flags from council buildings during Pride month.
I guess that means they've realised there aren't that many boats to stop in Northampton and have moved on to other targets.
Still, good to see they are addressing the big issues that are really bothering people...
This should do them... https://images.app.goo.gl/dmwhV2xiXQbRW7Vs9In all seriousness. The fact I have been in a same sex relationship for many years and The fact my one of my best friends now presents as female, are not the reason that certain people's lives are perceived by themselves to be sh!tty

Think he got mixed up with Hill. In fairness it is 40 years ago more or less to the day that we signed him, incredible.
Ah the usual voice of his defence... What else does he mix up I wonder? It might be 40 years ago, but I can name that team off by heart Gleasure Reed McPherson Wilcox Chard McGoldrick Donald Hill Gilbert Benjamin MORLEYand if anybody was out injured or suspended just stick Chard in that position! Shall we get back on topic??
