Thanks for the update - 8,200 is a welcome capacity. If we can sell that out regularly it will be something to be proud of..especially for those of us who remember the barely 4 figure attendances at our nadir.
Quick question: when you mention attendance at FAB by invitation only, how did that arise?
It arose because I asked the question following an enquiry on the forum.

For those that are interested in such matters here is a summary of the discussions held at the FAB meeting last night. 12 people were in attendance (including Tom Cliffe) representing a variety of supporters organisations. Tom reframed some of the reasons for the FAB's existence stressing that it is an 'Advisory Board' and the intention is that it will convene on a quarterly basis. Mattters raised: 1. Fanstones. 600 of all the various sizes had been sold in the period leading up to Christmas. Working on the premise that it would be 6 months between launch and completion the fan stones should be in situ by the end of March. The club have made a committment to match any funds raised through the sale of fanstones. 2. Fan Zone. The club are proud that it is to be named after Brian Lomax and becuaes of this they want to ensure that it is a quality project. The exact details are still not clear but it is envisaged that it will be a permanent structre that will be erected along the front of the West Stand. It is a work in progress and suggestions are still welcome but it is hoped that something will be in placefor the start of next season. 3. East Stand. Everything is on track and completion is still set for the end of the first quarter of 2025. 2 of the new boxes will be available to be bought on a match by match basis whilst the others will be corporate. The boxes will be named after ex players but their identities are yet to be revealed. As well as the boxes 2 extra rows of seats will be installed bringing capacity up to just over 8,200. 4. Sundry items raised: a) Board meetings are held on a regular basis b) there were over 75 applications for the managers position. c) There is no intention to build a bigger club shop in the West Stand. d) there have been issues raised with Tom concerning quality of stewarding, I Follow and pyros. e) There is still no hot water in either the South or the North stands f) Attendance at FAB meetings were by invatation only g) some discussions around pitch side advertising and the electronic scoreboard. h) discussions about the quality of service at Carr's bar and how this could be improved.
I think that's about it but I'm sure Roger will add anything I might have missed.

Perhaps this can be asked at the next FAB meeting? Think it's tomorrow night so perfect timing! I will be happy to ask a question about the revised stadium capacity following the completion of the East stand.I will also ask about a timeline for the fanstones implementation. I will report back with a summary of the discussions tommorrow,

I think Deepcut's dad is a little older and probably more loyal. Keith attends every home and away game and has done for many years. Everbright's attendance is a little more sporadic but it is to be applauded nevertheless.

I believe that he's one of the many players who has continued playing whilst not 10% fit?
He's less than 10% fit? Wow, what sort of player would he be if he was anywhere near full fitness!

I was wondering about that myself. I am surprised the club did not announce the winners on the official website. I bought a stone before the cut off date but because I have heard nothing I can only assume I was not one of the lucky ones.

The other thing is, did Calderwood actually apply for the position? If I was Kelvin I would look at the list of applicants (72?) and see if there is somebody more reliable on there. Either that, or, a long shot would be him and Chris Hughton (33-1) teaming up again for the fourth time. Not for me thankyou. My gut feeling is that there will be an appointment sooner, rather than later. Maybe within the next week. Personally i think Chris Hughton would be an excellent choice for a new manager but tbh his name never occurred to me until I saw it here. How long has he been out of work?

Lots of people at the ground grumbling about the officials and claiming the first goal was yards offside but the fact was Rotherham outclassed us yesterday. For a side that were below us in the table at start of play that's a startling reflection of how bad we actually were. Difficult to take any positives away but as Martin said on the bus back perhaps all the players got their one bad performance of the season out of the way on the same day, Let's hope that's true.

The new ground is ok. Very close to Millmoor which still stands today. The stands are very steep so a decent view unless you get vertigo.
We had a lovely drive up there in the Jag didn't we Zen. Good ground to visit and a huge improvement on Millmoor.
