You keep paying the 25p and they will keep charging it.
Unless they don't which may or may not be the case.
Anyway I'm not going Satdee, pencilled in a big day out early April to say bye bye to Notts County  Grin
3  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Crewe Alexandra (a) March 2nd on: February 26, 2019, 14:54:51 pm
Out early, returning at 18:02 from Crewe for £15. Try trainsplit if trainline isnít showing the same prices.
Never use trainline with their commission. Use any UK rail company you will see the same fares without the commission. The same booking engine is used across the board.

5  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January Window - Rumours, Ins and Outs on: February 01, 2019, 12:19:46 pm
no 6 month loanees 'want' to be at this club

I'd take issue with this statement.

So they don't want to be playing then?

6  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January Window - Rumours, Ins and Outs on: February 01, 2019, 10:18:50 am
I thought twitter was bad but f*** me this board at times...

Three players out that didn't want to be at NTFC six in that do.

Good business given the situation.

7  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January Window - Rumours, Ins and Outs on: January 28, 2019, 13:29:19 pm
plumetting like a stone

We are a point better off now seven points clear of the drop...
The rest is an all too familiar tale of woe all of which |I agree with, and to think 3 years ago we were ripping this division to shreads, the last three years have really seen mis-management of the highest order.
8  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Morecambe (H) on: January 25, 2019, 13:30:50 pm

9  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Morecambe (H) on: January 25, 2019, 11:58:33 am
Go for it, you would only sit at home and worry otherwise  Grin
at home listening to Tim Oglethorpe saying how near we are to the play-offs.
10  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Morecambe (H) on: January 25, 2019, 11:10:10 am
I just cant decide for this one.
FOR -  its early ko, we do well v Morecambe usually, they need my support, its less cold, its what I do
AGAINST - Its £22, we have no bums off seats players, Ive got to travel down from Leicester, Only one new signing will play... we're sh*te

What shall I do...
11  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Dean Austin on: September 10, 2018, 15:39:00 pm
Indeed.....his goalkeeper signing has failed to dislodge Cornell, his right back signing has been dislodged by the returning Facey, his striker signings...one of whom joined us "unfit", missed the whole pre-season and is now out injured, and his other signing was deemed an inferior option to JJOT in an attacking role on Saturday. I noticed that O'Doffin did not even make the 18 on Saturday......

All the above are things that classically lead to a sacking.
next manager comes in... "to be fair it was a right mess when I got here - players were playing out of position, the lads weren't fit enough, were gonna go back to basics, try to keep clean sheets."
seen it all so many times before.
12  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: BBC RADIO NORTHAMPTON- THE COBBLERS SHOW on: September 01, 2018, 08:01:13 am
A decent start but...
Not sure the "fan" should be on the show for the duration, seemed brave of the producers.
Buchs has to knock "100%" on the head he seemed to say it in every sentence.
Fifty pence in the Children in Need bucket everytime he said that then our Buchs would be a poor man.
Thought the show could have had a more folky fan slot, how about Coolie with his encyclopedic guide to away boozers,
My brother and I are doing "an anecdote for every team we play" this season - (most of them seem to include our much missed friend Davcobbler)
Something like that would make the show a bit more interesting and fun my opinion.

Patt has some news!  Grin
Just about the only factual thing on this thread in the last three years!
14  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: August 30, 2018, 15:21:49 pm
I've just driven past Sixfields and I have the pleasure to announce that Re-Development HAS STARTED.
Those going Saturday WILL notice a difference!
It's a pleasure to begin the end of this thread!
15  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Unsettling the U's - Saturday 18 August on: August 16, 2018, 12:25:06 pm
Not desperate for a win, but need a win if anything to settle the team, the supporters and the management down. Maybe they can then say " well we played poorly but won" or even "we were the better team and the result proved it" instead of how great we were at Wycombe/Carlisle/Lincoln when clearly we weren't. Most supporters will soon see through this from DA (many of us are not stupid) and an "us and them" situation will soon surface.

Say goodbye to some of your favourites in pre season games .
Its more than vultures hovering .
Sadly not hovering for the feed thatís being put out though
There's one or two clubs forums in for me. Obviously I can't reveal sources out of confidence however I wanted a forum nearer my home in Leicester. And the Reynard may be involved...

Missing the first game this sesason, due to ticking off one of the bucket list with a trip to New York. my first trip outside of Europe!
Any travel tips anyone has picked up - where to eat, where to drink, what to eat, what to drink, where I should go where I shouldn't go would be welcomed.
I know there's a million youtube travel blogs about the Big apple but interested to hear if anyone from here has any little nuggets for me.

18  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Which players would you like to see the club try to sign? on: June 15, 2018, 15:21:52 pm
Barnett signs his contract offer.

Well that's good bad news
19  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Which players would you like to see the club try to sign? on: June 08, 2018, 15:15:10 pm
I know we have the World Cup to break up the summer. But seriously I don't think I can stand a summer without the transfer rumours thread. Who doesn't enjoy all the speculation/half truths/total bollocks of it all?
20  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: MK Donkeys Home 20 Jan 18 on: January 21, 2018, 08:42:13 am
Only my fourth match this season, and second win, last one being Walsall where an almost unrecognisable team also played quite well.
So O'Donnell made some errors through the game but produced a couple of fantastic saves, of course as we won everybody wants to talk about the saves, righly so.
The two full backs were impressive although Bunney's defending not the best but pace a great asset to him. Two centre bcaks weren't without their errors either Taylor scuffed a cross field pass straight to the opposition remember? But on the whole solid enough. Midfield was where it all happened and we had the better players there simple as that. Grimes looks bound for a great career in the game, and Crooks, at well over 6ft this guy should posess everytjing to be top class, whilst not quite there yet he's getting betterwith us isn't he? Absolutely fantastic performance from O'Toole fast becoming the new "Mr Northampton Town" And Long in my opinion is a fantastic striker who will go on to better things, huge workload for the lad yesterday and of course playing away from home it will only increase. I would snap him up permanently if there was a chance!
All in all a good L1 battle added to by the comic sight of a pie fancying official waddling about the pitch. A good day despite/becuase of the weather.
