Opinion polls in the run up to elections normally sample around 1000 people, that's 1000 out of around 40 million voters....they're normally pretty accurate though. But I won't take any notice of them again, too small a sample, not representative!
Well they weren't so accurate this year were they ?

Putting clauses aside, he is no longer being touted to a Championship club, he is on the verge of joining a sizable Premier League club, and yet his face value has diminished by 300 thousand in a matter of months. Says it all really We need to get rid quick, at this rate he'll be off to Barcelona on a free.

How so? And what is your opinion of the question posed by Drilling?
Well whatever he does will be "in his view" the best for NTFC because it will be "the best" he can do. Doesn't really matter what it is because it will be what he thinks is for the best, not me, not you not anybody else. Personally i think he whole sorry saga has been a balls up from start to finish (even if it isn't actually finished yet). I'm not interested in a witch hunt, or who said what when, or who always knew this was going to happen. Sad as it might seem I am bored of the whole mess and don't have the energy to get angry about it.

With approximately 3 million employed in the UK within the construction industry it's hardly surprising to find that some of us are builders.
Clearly DC isn't one.
No doubt. Builders aren't really the issue though.

"No one gave a ****"...yes your memory is faltering. Even years prior to 87, every programme seemed to start with 'These are exciting times at NTFC (they weren't!) with the possibility of a brand new stadium' False dawns of course as was Brackmills, which so many of us desperately wanted...and muted precisely because of success from 86/87. Having to wait until 94 was not through any lack of want on the part of Cobblers fans!
I actually said most of the town, not us f***ing idiots turning up at the County Ground week after week.

You may have considered it the most embarrassing football ground in the football league Gibbo but most of us would love to still be watching the games in that Hotel End atmosphere. I'd go back tomorrow rather than play at Sixfields.
I'll take the atmosphere but you can keep The Hotel End.

Record debt and another season in Div 2. Brill. I bet it looked brighter in 1965 and it certainly did in 86 and 97.
I'm getting old and my memory is not all I would like it to be but apart from a fantastic team what i remember from 86/87 is probably the most embarrassing ground in the football league. Oh and rather like today it wasn't even ours because the cricket always took priority. No one was building us a new stand and most of the town didn't give a f*** one way or the other. The best part of that team was sold off for big bucks, where was the money invested ? You have no f***ing idea whatsoever and neither do I but what I do know is that no new stand was built and two years later we were back where we started. Today someone is doing something.Which is more than most have done over our entire history. Can we just for once enjoy something rather than moaning. You aren't going to do anything useful except telling everyone else what should have been done, but what in fact do you know ? The sum root of f*** all that's what.

Never mind. I'm reliably told that we'd have gone bust without DC. That was way back when we owed the princely sum of £500,000. I know you're seriously minted Nige but where I come from £500.000 is still a princely sum.

The Hotel End truly is the place for cobblers news. I broke the story of work stopping and I broke the story of work starting again. I should get a journalism prize or something, I really should
You should. It's not quite Watergate though is it and there's only about 10 people who care anymore (and they're all mad)

So if the club was to go as you put it in your opinion it would be the fault of a few forum members for having different opinions to you. There was me thinking that I had nothing to do with the day to day running of the club. Calling fellow supporters clowns... PATHETIC.
This is true. At least clowns are mildly amusing.
