First 20 minutes we competed but after that the possession stats must be 95/5! Just hoofing aimless balls forward and they just pick the ball up for another attack.

It’s one game and clearly the enforced substitutions will have impacted. Not sure why either of the new forwards were not on, it’s not ideal for them to be landing in the team for the first time on Saturday.

Everbrite that’s harsh on Warburton, absolutely no service to him whatsoever and he still had two half chances. Not currently feeling very optimistic about Saturday.

Really pleased for Warburton, he scored a great goal at Swansea last season and don’t think he really got a fair shout, he could have had 3 today. Korboa looked ok. Smith still needs to work on his anticipation and general mobility. Thought Reast of the team acquitted themselves pretty well and that will have done wonders for their confidence

Ever rite I think the key word is ‘could’ I’ve seen Carshalton play 3 or 4 times over the past 2-3 years and I though they had some reasonable players. Not sure that he shone for them and I just don’t see Smith cutting it, maybe 4 or 5 goals for the season from him?

It’s going to be interesting to see what the starting line up will be today and also who will be on the bench. I think defensively we might be ok especially against a weakened Championship Team but no Adams or Hoskins (And that could continue for the first month or so of the season) just don’t see where the goals will come from.

You could equally state we tried to sign Messi but the offer was rejected because of fee/ salary. Clearly we are not the only Club in this predicament but I’d rather be in a position of a team having met each other before the first game of the season.

I have to agree about Morton, there is no way WBA will sell to us, we could have offered £500k plus and they would not be interested so I can understand why some are upset. Why tell us we’ve offered money with no chance of him signing, that is just irrelevant spin.
