Phew, it wasn’t a good cross, more poor defending but crucial goal again from Guthrie. Makes up for the dodgy free kick we conceded earlier in the season

Pretty poor fare again and could be losing this. I’ve noticed ‘that’s poor from Hoskins’ at least 4 times in the first half. Our passing in the attacking third is poor overall.

Enjoyable day and proud to be there, great atmosphere and of course brilliant result in an entertaining game despite the conditions. Would love us to use the strip again be it this season or next.
84  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: January transfer window on: January 27, 2022, 13:02:15 pm
I see we have come close to signing some players. The only time I want to hear about near misses is when I'm about to consider which airline i might fly with. I see enough near misses and some not so near ever match.

As I stated on Facebook, thought we could be outside the Play Offs by end of the month

Jack Dee had the right opinion last night, he’s wishing for a Virus that only infects Idiots
87  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Its Cambridge again Tuesday 16.11.21 on: November 17, 2021, 21:07:34 pm
Watching Stockport tonight, that’s what I call ‘bums off seats football’. And Quigley, with players like that in the Conference why do we end up with Kabamba, Connelly and BAS!
88  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Jon Brady on: October 31, 2021, 17:09:52 pm
Absolutely, and if we had sacked Keith earlier and given Brady the transfer window he might have kept us up.
89  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Trannies 8 clean sheets v Cobblers 7 clean sheets 23rd Oct. on: October 24, 2021, 08:01:48 am
I’m really pleased for Brady, clearly cares about the club. A very winnable game coming up this Saturday and I see Cambridge got 4 put past them yesterday. Be nice to move on in the Cup too. Just hope Etete continues to fire as the strength in depth might not be there but Jan is fast approaching.
90  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Stevenage at home Tuesday 19/10/21 on: October 19, 2021, 21:04:03 pm
Enjoyed the game, poor fare for first 35mins but really only one team in it. Good to see Etete score first league goal, Hoskins alert for the 2nd and Horsfall good header again after several corners in succession. Should be home by 2am
91  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: FA Cup 2021/22 on: October 17, 2021, 12:37:36 pm
I would have thought that was winnable at home, they are lower mid-table League1
92  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: October 11, 2021, 14:43:44 pm
I think we maybe have been shopping in the wrong market, clearly Harrogate, Sutton and to a lesser degree Barrow knew the Non League players well (Graham C prev). Is it a hunger trait, desire or skill.
93  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: October 11, 2021, 12:30:40 pm
Shoemender it’s clearly a consideration but you would hope that it’s not the first on the list.
94  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: October 11, 2021, 10:09:14 am
Woody you are spot on. What I’m intrigued to know about is what ‘qualities’ were identified by the Committee to substantiate the signings of Kabamba and also to lesser degree Lewis/Connolly.
95  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool United (a) on: October 09, 2021, 16:06:01 pm
Koiki responsible for that second and also poor for the opportunity that Roberts did well to save, looking a liability at the back. Etete, Kabamba and BAS are not going to score the goals, who does that leave. I’d be really interested to see the research that ‘informed’ Brady to sign Kabamba. Whilst Sam scored a great goal I still didn’t see much of a contribution overall but he was far from the worst. Dropping like a stone now.

Oh dear
97  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool United (a) on: October 09, 2021, 15:16:03 pm
Need to eat my words, that was a good volley.
98  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool United (a) on: October 09, 2021, 14:57:39 pm
Shoemender, I agree. This is the sort of game we should be winning if we have any aspirations of promotion this season. Etete getting bullied (again), need to remember he’s a young lad but as Smith has already identified his anticipation needs to be better.
99  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool United (a) on: October 09, 2021, 14:51:26 pm
And the first half ends with a corner a that doesn’t beat the 1st man from guess who!
100  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hartlepool United (a) on: October 09, 2021, 14:42:31 pm
Hoskins so far 3 crap passes and no alert to run in when he had the potential for a 1 on 1. Overall we have plenty of endeavour but no cutting edge.
