Glad to see the back of Assad, but hope for Syrians all over the world that their country has some peace and stability. Hopefully some of the refugees will get their dream of returning home, but if I was them, I wouldn't be rushing, I would wait to see what transpires for a while.

Growing calls for Mama Merkel to be prosecuted.
By the International Court of Human Rights for not letting other countries have a fair crack of the whip at World Cups? Seems reasonable to me.

Hmm. What happened last time Germany wasn't in great shape and the "locals" started getting really pissed off? They only came 3rd in their group in the 2022 World Cup which ultimately lead to Hansi Flick getting sacked. Is that what you meant? You'd really expect their national team to do better, particularly in the World Cup. It was never like that when Mama Merkel was in charge.

Callum Morton was on the Welly Rd this afternoon, on crutches but no evidence of a cast or supportive boot either.
Friday afternoon boozing. It's great when you are on the sick. Allegedly.

I see nobody has mentioned Gareth Southgate yet. You'd have thought he would welcome the opportunity to make a name for himself. Maybe Woody as his number 2.

Tell you what Tabby, I will race you to the magic 7000 posts mark and we can hold a public vote as to which of us has talked the most crap in our illustrious Hotel End careers. I reckon I could pip at the post for both awards.

Jon Brady, one of the longest servers in the league has left the Cobblers. Should be on the top of numerous lower league clubs lists for their next manager. Very successful stint at the Cobblers and still learning. He would welcome a clean slate an uninjured squad.
Voila!

After dropping below Curle last week, Brady has fallen again and now has a worse record than Ian Atkins. Won't be long now before Ian Sampson overhauls him.
Word on the street is that he resigned today safe in the knowledge that Sammo would be in charge for Monday's defeat and therefore he keeps a better record than Sammo in Marvo's managers league table. But seriously, thanks to JB for all his efforts, his passion and more good times than I have been used to. As for who is next, nobody with Boro connections please. Yes, that does rule out Ivan Toney as player manager.

someone who is a left back to play left back
Square pegs in round holes is an absolute sure fire way to get relegated.
Unless of course we had 13 Phil Chards. who could play literally anywhere!
And in a similar vein, I (probably we all) dream of a team of Andy Holts.

I think his goals have dried up due to a drastic change in playing style. When we played Bowie, Appere and Hoskins as a front three - we had three players who were dead keen for the press (Appere in particular was essential to this) and this both suited Hoskins and freed him up more to be far more productive. This season it looks like he's being asked to balance the team by being a workhorse out wide.
Are you saying that App3r3 was essential to the team and not agreeing to meet his pay demands has been our downfall this season? Who'd have thought that without the benefit of hindsight?

One look at your surname, and they probably thought that you had sailed across the channel anyway! Very good point Tabby.

you cannot book an out of town hotel (home office takes priority)
I've got a hotel for the next two nights without a problem. In Worksop and let's face it, if you are going to dump people anywhere, it would be Worksop.
