Don't understand the comment.
3  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: MK City v Cobblers programme wanted on: January 11, 2018, 21:21:44 pm
I always wondered how Milton Keynes City were allowed that name as MK has never been given City status.

I and two family members were season ticket holders for over 30 years, but stopped being so 3 years ago, for various reasons. We rarely go nowadays because when we do get the opportunity there are never 3 seats together in the West Stand and rarely 2 together apart from the very front or end rows. Beds is correct, a bigger stadium would increase the number of good seats available for non-season ticket holders and provide the opportunity for all of us to bring along friends, relatives, colleagues and customers when required.
We tried to get an additional season ticket next to our 2 in the West Stand but all were taken except one in front. Almost every game there are up to a dozen seats empty next to us. Does some organisation block book them? Are they kept empty by the club to hand out to people? Always seemed a bit odd.

There is a direct train from Kings Cross to Bradford. Grand Central at 10.38. Can't see any coming back.

Facey had a good composed debut, but the most effective player was Long.

I blame the orange kit!

After we lost, I used to be upset and become even more of a miserable sod all weekend. Now I just say "ah well" and carry on normally. In other words I am ceasing to care and that is really worrying.

Looked like a ball boy with a false beard.

I have no idea why they should lie but I cannot believe there were over 5000 there. Looked more like 4000. Do they count all season ticket holders as present? A big block near me in the West Stand was empty.

Did anyone moan when we released Moult? No. That because he wasn't very good.

On my phone and tablet, something has happened to the appearance and layout of the site. Have I done something? Has it changed?
16  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Why does Jimmy ? on: December 02, 2017, 09:44:38 am
As I recall, Adams couldn't get in the team at the end of that season.

IMO itís all a question of perspective and degree. Everton fans could argue for decades they yo-yo between mid table and a relegation fight? They have their odd moment in the sun like qualifying for Europe last year and the Howard Wilkinson 80s side but thatís it. Years of stagnation going nowhere. Look at Villa, Leeds, the Sheffield clubs? If you listen to Liverpool fans on 606 without a title in 20 odd years and still in the same old under developed ground they sound worse than us? What you describe is the reality of the life of the vast majority of football fans. So why bother? Well the emotional experience of 86-87 will live with me till the day I die, as will Shrewsbury 94 and 15/16. Within all the desperation and gloom there lies some of the greatest memories of our lives. Hopefully it is those times that makes it all worth it? That is unless you support Barcelona, who have spent so long at the top their fans will never feel the once in a lifetime sensation of massive over achievement? Our day will come again soon.
Agree but Howard Wilkinson at Everton?

I made my mind up not to look at this thread again as its just an endless repeat of the same things. But, I am drawn like a moth to a flame probably in the vain hope that there just might be something new to report. No sign yet so I will retreat to my cave.
