Perhaps they don't want to look into the sun! Doesn't apply to a night match though.
462  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Teyn Brand on: September 06, 2016, 16:23:41 pm
Good luck with 'teyn' but unfortunately I can't celebrate the inbred, impeded and uneducated accent of my fellow Northamptonians.

I shudder when I arrive at a match and hear you all sounding like p1ssed up farm labourers with a brain injury.
I understand that Shakespeare's plays only scan properly if a rural Warwickshire accent is used. Thats much the same as ours.

This time last year we lost at home to Dagenham. So no.
464  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: EFL Cup 3rd round on: September 05, 2016, 13:17:15 pm
Think I may be offered a guy at work's season ticket seat today. Trouble is I'm not sure I really want to go. I really can't stand Mourinho, I don't like what The Mancs stand for and more than anything I wouldn't want to come across plastic Mancs in the home areas. I don't condone trouble at football matches but Mancs in the home end, deserve a severe talking to!
Of course looking into the future and seeing us pull of a huge upset would be different...

I thought I was the only one. I am a season ticket holder but I really don' t want to go. I can't stand all the hype about Man U. It will be probably their reserve team anyway, not that means they are not pretty good. I have given my ST to my mate who is taking his son who works on Saturdays so will enjoy it more!

Revell will probably get this but I am going for H Beautyman. I thought he was outstanding in the middle.
466  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: beautyman in the middle for me all day on: September 04, 2016, 16:19:20 pm
Excellent game today, my MoM.
467  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: What is the most important Derby game to you? on: September 04, 2016, 16:18:17 pm
When I was a lad, before Pish were in the league, Coventry were our local rivals. Even in the mid 60s we had epic games with them A Tommy Robson winner at Highfield Rd springs to mind. But that was then, we havebeen at opposite ends of the League since then.

Reminded me of Frank Large. No higher compliment.

What was the plane towing, why the clapping? Couldn't see it from back of West Stand.
Best performance this season, will JJOT get in next game?
470  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Radical Changes Proposed by EFL on: September 02, 2016, 18:12:17 pm
Of course Regionalisation affects us. We dont know if we would be North or South. If North then no Oxford or Luton, if South then no Notts, Mansfield, Posh might be in a different league. Its all nonsense in a country the size of England.
471  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Radical Changes Proposed by EFL on: September 01, 2016, 17:45:51 pm
Regionalisation great! No more long journeys to Notts, Mansfield, Chesterfield. Nice easy trips to Gillingham, Plymouth, Crawley, Newport! Its nonsense only remote clubs like Carlisle and Plymouth benefit but even then is it easier to go from Plymouth to Gillingham than Carlisle. Those of us in the middle could swap leagues from season to season. Haven't Corby and Brackley done that?

473  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: August 27, 2016, 20:14:51 pm
If not fit for purpose and unsafly built then it's the responsibility of the builder to put it right or demolish it.. certainly not to try and claim a piece of it!
Good to get an expert ruling from a top Commercial Lawyer like Beds!
474  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Buton Albion on: August 27, 2016, 11:05:13 am
Also, lots of people stand in the seating area ruining it for old fogies like me. Sorry sound like Steve Riches now!
475  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Buton Albion on: August 27, 2016, 08:35:25 am
As I understand it, safe standing areas are not just a terrace but are quite expensive to install. Anyone know more about it? My standing days are long gone but preferred it when I was able to stand for hours.
476  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: EFL Cup 3rd round on: August 25, 2016, 11:15:40 am
I must be in a minority of one. Not very interested in cups whoever we play. I would much rather get 3 points. Cant stand all the fuss about tickets and Man U "fans" muscling in. I must be getting old and even more miserable.
477  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: JJ Hooper on: August 23, 2016, 08:03:08 am
So if we signed Kemar Roofe who was rubbish here, would people moan. Give JJ a chance.
478  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: August 23, 2016, 08:00:15 am
I am not going to copy MCHammer's response but may I say that I consider it to be one of the best postings in this lengthy debate.
479  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: MANAGER SHOULD TAKE SOME OF THE BLAME on: August 22, 2016, 09:16:42 am
I have always championed De'ath but what amuses me is that most people rubbished him last season and now think he is our saviour!
480  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: August 21, 2016, 19:02:01 pm
I was allowed in yesterday whilst eating an ice cream cornet! What a devil I am.
