When I were a lad .... we lived in fear of the local bobby catching us riding a bike on a footpath or without lights. Now everyone does, not just kids. Blokes in full gear on proper bikes on the pavement when there is a cycle lane, and yes with earphones on. Stupid people on these daft tiny bikes whizzing round at night........

I don't understand this argument. CW himself said he made a mistake and that it didn't work. Everyone I know was surprised by the selection and surely there is no harm in expressing this without in anyway denegrating CW. I was on holiday and wasn't there but the feeling I had when I heard the half time score was so unfamiliar, it put me off my cream tea.

Hi cordwainer. We water pitch like other clubs on request of manager. When the grass leaf is dry slows the ball down so we just apply bit of water to speed it up a bit. Hope this answers question pal.
Regards paul (groundsman)
Thanks for that Paul. Does the club plumber read this?

Two water based questions. Why did they water the pitch before the game and at half time? Secondly, whats gone wrong withe taps in the Gents? Either no water or all over the floor! Reminded me of the Hotel End except it was water on the floor.

I have been going to Cobblers away games since 1965. When I was young, I always stood up as there was always standing areas in those days, indeed I preferred it until old age and ailments meant that I cannot physically stand for the whole of a game. Therefore reluctantly I sit down. In an ideal world there would be a choice as per York where you can stand behind the goal or sit with us olduns in the stand at the side. Lots of grounds do not offer this now so I don't think it unreasonable that those who wish to stand allow those who can't to see the game. Some of us actually like to watch the game but we do join in with singing and chanting believe it or not.

No, don't be silly - it must be your pants. Do you have to be wearing them, or can we run them up the flagpole at Portsmouth? In fact, why not contact Look East - I see no reason why you shouldn't wear them while parading their studio: it might take their eye of all the Norwich and Ipswich stuff. look.east@bbc.co.ukUnfortunately Steve. they are a bit ancient now and are a wee bit worn. In fact they are more hole than pant! Otherwise a good idea.

Can you update us please. Did you have your lucky kit on?
I forgot my scarf at Hartlepool so that may have caused the draw, but was fully kitted for Wombles so it didn't work there. Lucky pants on for Carlisle although not there. So perhaps it may be down to the players and the manager rather than my pants?

Looking at those fixtures, Oxford seems the easiest of those concerning us. They could win them all if they get a run going. They are, after all, the "best team in the division".
