A couple of weeks ago they took 3044 to Carlisle, good job we don't have a bigger ground or it would be like a home game for them.
Which incidentally, was less than what Carlisle brought to them!

I think it all depends on when we get our midfield back, we desperately need Shaun and Jack back in the team, if they are back for the beginning of March I can see us finishing 17th or 18th if they break down agin or don’t return then I can see a relegation battle and the inevitable happening yet again, Reading are flying and Vale will have a managerial bounce, we are only 10 points from the drop zone with 17 to play, that’s 51 points left.
Vale a managerial bounce! They haven't won literally all year, hardly managed a shot last night against a very in form Orient - despite having three managers to bounce! Now in the relegation zone...and my prediction - lucky if they get as much bounce as the ball in the puddle at Cambridge last night! Reading are bouncing though - I'll give you that!

Interesting one that. My Mothering in law lives on Moulton lane, Boughton. They won't like this one. Most of them are still reeling from Buckton Fields Ah, Buckton Fields...a housing estate, designed for those that don't want to admit they live in Kingsthorpe!

So did the man that used to drive the van to away games, go just for the "social aspect"? Because he never thought that we were going to get a result? The same man that says that we must push for the play offs because it wont happen next year? And because of inactions in yesterdays window, anybody going is either stupid, or on the piss. And you are going to watch the rugby instead. I think that about sums you up. No need to ask me to explain myself, as you understand me perfectly well. If you wanna see stupid, aimless people, get yourself down to Clerkenwell Green on May 1st. Theres thousands of em.
Indeed, indeed, as well as twisting to suit the agenda that some Cobblers fans 'were happy' to see that the potential playoff flame had been extinguished - as if! Has a go at another poster for 'having a dig', chastising in a follow up post...after inferring that anyone going to Pompey tomorrow is stupid! Amazing being a facetious deflection! Couldn't make it up!

The club announced 755 tickets sold at close of business lunchtime today.
Yes. Think you'll have to refer to a poster (now) on this thread who claimed we had sold nearly all of the 1,104 allocation! Still, 755 not too bad. Of course, the usual social media posts will now start appearing...' Any spare tickets... Didn't know I could go until last minute...blah, heart wrench, blah...! Was clearly announced weeks ago (as was Oxford prior to game) that tickets will cease to be sold day before game, if anyone had designs on travelling!

Football fans are amazing (or stupid), I'm not sure which. The club has just told you in no uncertain terms via their actions in the January transfer window that they have no intention of doing anything whatsoever, other than seeing this season out. Still over 1,000 of you are going to Pompey. I can only assume it's for the social aspect, it can't be in any anticipation of getting a result. Have a great day and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a miracle.
Nah, it's called supporting your club as well as a good weekend in a great city for that! Think just under 1000, not over!

I have a good friend who is a fanatical Oxford supporter. He is so into Oxford, he could make me look like a Boro supporter. I am never in doubt about where the Cobblers stand in comparison to their perspective. Mainly, because whenever I be bemoan our side. He starts his next sentence with "but what do you expect mate". Then goes on to say... "we should absolutely be doing much better than this". When I asked him about KT coming in. He said, "He'll be ok for you lot". Worse bit is. I thought it was only him. Until I stand with him and his mates before we play them. And I'm sorry to continue the quotes. Last time we played them. I was stood in the bowling alley with him and his mates. When I asked them what they thought the result would be. They agreed on this. "We need to get this one out of the way, Injury free. Because we have some challenging fixtures coming up". There you go So in conclusion, as I have long suspected, in terms of vast empirical evidence...they are c***s! So Pompey ticket sales have also concluded. No paying on the day. Somewhere in the region of 1000 Cobblers making the trip to the South Coast.

I’m sure most will agree on here, the nonsense stems from your keyboard.
Obviously a manager will want to invest someone else’s money in a bid to get the best chance of success.
There’s no need, we’re safe. Let’s use any spare change to invest in next year which is when we will need it most.
That's the problem...spare change isn't going to help next season! Now, have those Saudis got past the Sevens yet?

Haven’t signed a player and the possibility that our second loss in a row is a thumping. I can see it now, if that happens it will be like someone has chucked a grenade into this forum. They’ll probably be a few preying for it, but you never know. I reckon we might get a result, 1-1 (unless they put Pinnock at 10 and Leonard in the holding role. In which case you may as well pull the pin out now).
You really should try looking at Oxford United's forum if you want to know what meltdowns after defeat look like. This forum is balanced at best, tepid at worst by comparison...in fact, I'd go as far as to say there is no comparison!

It has been very quiet across the board tbh, I doubt we have anything planned.
I have. Watching the reserves at Portsmouth on Saturday. More knocks and off days no doubt! HMS Victory and Mary Rose museum on the Sunday...absolute snippet at £44 each!

Your post continues to haunt me especially when we lost so badly to Stevenage! I just hope we emulate 8th place or better! I believe there is always hope when supporting the Cobblers and fortune has at least smiled on us in our long history! Remember vividly our last visit to Pompey where JOT had a magnificent game and Collins winning goal! Hope always survives.
I love discussing threats...Iran, Putin, Trump and the Post Office are some of my favourites!

I like Pompey. One of the bigger teams bouncing around in the lower leagues for over a decade. Pretty consistent strong support, which also gave us one of our best away days ever. Paul Cook was also complimentary about us and they gave me one of my vivid childhood memories in the Hotel End. Pity they didn't hold on against Poxford and if they can give us all three that would be fab.
They are indeed loyal. Generally, like them too, but nevertheless, overly mouthy and for once, not too down that Headington Amateurs got an equaliser...might make Pompey pipe down a little for Saturday!

Pompey fans, mouthy as usual...singing to Oxford Utd last night; "You've seen the Champions, now fcuk off home" and "1-0 and you fcuked it up' Oops! Champions! Doubt will get any further than the playoffs...Derby, Bolton and Posh are coming for ya!

Looks like the allocation of 1,104 tickets is close to a sell out.
And looking on Pompey's ticketing site, it seems theve released Blocks P and Q up for sale. so I dont think we are getting anymore tickets.
By contrast, Portsmouth travel to Oxford Utd tonight, having of course sold their full allocation of 1,471, whereas Oxford are looking at one of their lowest home turnouts all season - they have a couple who do dot counts! Barely 6,500 home support - loads saying what's the point, predicting a Pompey whitewash! They were on course for 10,500 against us a couple of weeks ago...though many, both us and them I suspect, will cry off for the rearranged game!
