Credit where it's due, he's starting to keep some clean sheets. I'm always open to changing my mind if the evidence points a certain way. It's a shame you want to point score after a 5-0 win though. For the self-appointed moral compass of the messageboard you should be ashamed That's exactly what I want to do. Surely all the idiots who suggested we wouldn't create anything without Hoskins can see what a difference playing a footballer in his place can do? With Facey and Morias to return, I'm hoping this season might bring some enjoyment.

This. How Hoskins starts every week just goes to show how low we've dropped, I'm at a loss as to why he's in the team, he doesn't get near any headers, can't shoot or tackle and isn't even that quick. Just runs about like a headless chicken.
He couldn't outpace 45 year old Lewington. It's a myth that he's quick.

Thought we were second best by a distance and the scoreline was very flattering. 4 or 5 nil wouldn't have been harsh. They were better in every department and I'd be surprised if they don't win the division. They've strengthened very well over the summer since relegation. Also thought our support was pathetic sadly. So often is the case with a large following. Very hard to make any noise and was shocked at how many were sat down.
Agree with this. Amazed we kept the score down to 1-0 (we could/should have conceded 2 in the opening 10!). Hoskins had another dreadful game, as did Waters. Neither look up to it at all.

I still think Hoskins creates most of anything any good for us.
Ive actually come to think the opposite where he wastes the ball in good positions so many times.

Quote from Ricky himself:
"I couldn't turn down the opportunity to play in the Championship,"
A Chmapionship team pushing towards the Prem too, they were in the playoffs when he signed. Not bad a for a 30 year old player who's never played above L1. Not sure money was the big factor.
Sheff Utd paid the most and got the least out of him. Almost half a mil and deemed not good enough.

Five changes from Saturday, but the same 18 selected. No room for youth....not sure whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing! At least we seem to be taking the game and competition seriously!
I reckon he's treating the game as an opportunity to see a few more first teamers in action.
