All the other sacking statements had quotes from Kelvin in them. This one didn't. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it?
I doubt anyone from the clubs media team is in the office this late on a Sunday. Expect a full statement tomorrow.

Everyone firing in at Cornell .... Try having a look at some of the outfield players that have constantly let us down . Cornell is probably playing above himself . Some of the others are not bothering to turn up . I’d spend a bit more time studying what goes on elsewhere on the pitch rather than watching the highlights of the ball going past he keeper if I were you
If you bother to read, you'll see Odoffin, Buchs, Taylor and Hoskins have also been heavily criticised.

Take a good look at the pathetic defending if I were you . Don’t close down , don’t stop crosses and second to the ball . There’s your problem .
The defence is worse than last season despite playing poorer opposition. I do wonder if that is Cornells fault.

Well that's your opinion and I have mine. A decent keeper is a vital cog in any team and as I say will save you/cost you 10/12 points over a season. Smith was pretty consistant in our promotion year andoat keeper towards the top are pretty consistant so thats rubbish.
Cornell should have been.replaced in the sumner bur austin has failed in doing that, he is an adequate number 2 and that is all.
I'd argue it isn't even an opinion. Cornell isn't good enough. Buchs and Hoskins too.

But he had a catchphrase we could all get behind and buy hats for
And he put hoskins on the halfway line when defending corners.

Let's be brutally honest if we can't beat the **** in this league like Cheltenham, Notts County and Morcombe then we ain't gonna beat the better teams. He has to go
Remember when our fans were convinced we'd hammer a team soon?

I still blame our idiotic fans for calling for him to be recruited in the first place. KT must've been laughing when he saved money hiring an incapable manager our fanbase were demanding we hire.
We're completely in the sh*t and I feel we need a troubleshooter manager in the Mad Dog mould to stop the rot. What a shambles of a season.

Dean Austin needs to bring in more of his own players
Ward, Odoffin, Bridge, Williams and Morais. Im not so sure we need him bringing in more of his players.

I'm sure you'll have a stat that reinforces you point re JFH but I'm afraid I'm always going to disagree. JFH was our worst manager since I don't know when (Fenwick?). Be interesting to know who the players that experienced both thought was the better.
And since I've got you, it's off topic I know but re 'running' on the other thread...as a former U/21 GB and NI track and field international, and BAL premier/league one standard senior before i jacked it in for local football, I'll admit i never got close to a pb in training!
I can only runk around 8 mile at the moment. How would I improve to run a half marathon next spring if I never hit a PB?

Interesting that on the radio Billy Waters picked Turnbull as one of his top six players he's played with or been a supporter of, says JT is unbeaten at 5-a-side. Surely surely worth a run in the first team, wonder what Buchs thought as he was sat next to him when he said it :-) Up the Teyn!
Turnbull is clearly the better player out of him and Buchs. I'd love to see him in a back three (Turnbull Taylor Barnett) with Bunney and Facey as wing backs.

I hold one man largely responsible for last season Clarence, JFH. I haven't got an argument with your points/appearance stats.
JFH was an improvement on the previous, and next manager (as it stands currently) . JED's signing were probably the worst, due to them being such long contracts (bowditch, Powell, Kasim, waters etc) and we're naturally still paying for this now. If we get new owners in the near future, I hope Melville is made accountable for the shambolic recruitment he's overseen.

The only reason Austin got the job is because he persuaded KT that he could turn it around in league Two with only making minor changes to the playing staff.
And he has failed (so far).
He was also already under contract, so considerably cheaper than a new manager.

Moloney was decent but for my money Eardley in his handful of games might be the best player (bar maybe JJOT) we've had in the team since Holmes left. Looked a different class IMO.
He was dropped and released once Moloney was fit. Then he dropped down a league again. Certainly not a different class.
