Carlisle

In my view, the game was lackluster, with the second goal being one of the few highlights - an exceptional moment of offensive play that awarded KOIKI his first POTS points of the season. Bowie and Guthrie solidified their second and third places by earning an additional point, but as determined last week, no one can overtake Marc Leonard for Player of The Season.

Summary

Koiki received 12 votes and scores 3 points
Fox, Bowie & Guthrie all receive 1 vote and score 1 point each

Congratulations to Marc Leonard who, with four games still to go, is this year's Hotel End Player of the Season

Leonard is now 14 points clear at the top, and even if his main rival Bowie scored the maximum in all remaining games, it wouldn't be enough. He is a deserved Player of the Season and has clearly proven that the right loan player can make a significant impact.

The only downside is that we won't have his services next season, but until then, let's enjoy watching our chosen Player of the Season.

Reading

The votes were split across a number of players at Reading with no clear player being nominated however Sowerby was your POTM with Appere securing the runner up spot.

Summary

Sowerby received 3 votes and scores 3 points
Appere received 2 votes and scores 2 points
Hoskins, Moulden and McGowan receive 1 vote each and score 0.33 points each

Port Vale

The returning Burge made his comeback as the sponsor's Player of the Match, yet he did not receive enough votes from the Hotel End voters to earn any points. Instead, Bowie garnered the most votes, with Player Of the Season Leonard tying for the runner-up position with Guthrie.

Summary

Bowie received 4 votes and scores 3 points
Leonard & Guthrie received 3 votes each and score 1.5 points each
Burge & Pinnock receive 2 votes but no points awarded
Sherring received 1 vote but no points awarded

No less than 7 players were voted for the Derby match showing how well the team played together.
I always seem to forget to vote myself however fortunately my lack of a vote didn't change the outcome.
In addition there is no change in the top 3 of the POTS table as none of the top 3 scored any points. Therefore the top 3 as it stands is Leonard, Bowie & Hoskins

Derby

It is probably easier to say who didn't get a vote at Derby given there were many different votes but it was Sowerby who ended up with the Gold spot whilst last season's winner Appere took silver.
The third place was shared by Sherring & Monthe

Summary

Sowerby received 9 votes and scored 3 points
Appere received 5 votes and scored 2 points
Sherring & Monthe received 3 votes and scored 0.5 points each
Fox received 2 votes and scored no points
Hoskins & Leonard received 1 vote and scored no points

Last year the POTS was won with 34 points, and the year before that 31 points, so the fact that Leonard has amassed 39 points with 8 games to go may go some way to point who is going to be the POTS this season, second place Bowie is on 23 points.

Cambridge

The aforementioned Leonard scores the 3 points here with Guthrie a close runner up

Summary

Leonard received 5 votes and scores 3 points
Guthrie received 4 votes and scores 2 points
Simpson & Bowie received 1 vote each and scores 0.5 points

Blackpool

A game that had 0-0 written all over it in this 'watching paint dry' match was ruined further by a scrappy goal that reminded me of my PE sessions at school!!!
Also is it me or are we playing backwards more and more as the season progresses?

Despite all this Balding didn't get any votes but 45 minutes was enough for you to vote Pinnock as your POTM with Guthrie being runner up for the second game in a row.

Summary

Pinnock received 6 votes and scores 3 points
Guthrie received 5 votes and scores 2 points
McWilliams receives 2 votes and scores 1 point
Moulden receives 1 vote but no score

More points for Leonard which extends his lead in the overall POTS.

Charlton

It was the Central defence that acquired most of the points from you for the Charlton game with Sherring getting  the most votes and maximum 3 points, with Guthrie scoring the two points for being in second place.

Summary

Sherring received 5 votes and scores 3 points
Guthrie received 4 votes and scores 2 points
Hondermarck received 3 votes and scores 1 point
Appere received 2 votes but fail to score

Peterborough

So a heavy defeat often leads to the reappearance of Balding being a common vote, for the uninitiated, when there is no player that you feel deserves a vote it is Balding that can be nominated, this match was no different with many voting for the fans, I have grouped all non player votes as Balding as per the normal guidelines.

Of the players nominated Leonard scored the most votes

Summary

Balding received 9 votes and scores 3 points
Leonard received 3 votes and scores 2 points
Guthrie received 2 votes and scores 1 point
Simpson, Pinnock, Appere & Springett received 1 point each but score 0 points

Firstly there was a query around the qty of votes given to Guthrie from Leyton game - I can confirm the amount of votes awarded to Guthrie was 3 but in my summary a typo displayed it as 2 in my summary, be assured the table reflected 3 and was a simple typo error only, but thanks for pointing it out anyway.

Onto the current state of the POTS and Leonard continues to run away with the plaudits and leads the table by 12 points and now is the man to beat.

Bristol Rovers

An entertaining game led to a pile more votes for Leonard with Brough close behind. Nobody voted for the sponsors POTM Hondermarck. First votes for Moulden

Summary

Leonard received 11 votes and scores 3 points
Brough received 8 votes and scores 2 points
Moulden received 1 vote and scores 1 point

Oxford

Not too much to split the votes for the 5 players nominated at Oxford , with Guthrie & Hondermarck receiving the most and sharing the top points.

Summary

Guthrie & Hondermarck received 3 votes and score 2.5 points each
Simpson & Willis received 2 votes and score 0.5 points each
Moulden received 1 vote but no points scored

Burton

Another solid POTM and 3 points for Leonard as he continues picking up votes, runners up at Burton were far behind with Fox & Hondermarck receiving just 2 votes each

Summary

Leonard received 10 votes and scores 3 points
Fox & Hondermarck received 2 votes and score 1.5 points each
Pinnock & Sherring receive 1 vote each but no points scored

It is all change in the top 3 as the loanees take charge of the POTS overall table, whilst the injured duo of Hoskins & McWilliams lose places.

Outstanding contributions from the leader Leonard and second place Bowie mean they are now the clear leaders of the POTS table.

Bolton

It is rare and the first time it has happened this season I believe but it was a clean sweep at Bolton as Bowie stole the show and secured all of your votes.

Summary

Bowie received 17 votes and scored 3 points

Leyton

Bowie just missed out on the double as Leonard pipped him for the POTM at the Leyton goalfest. Guthrie also picked up several points and is on the podium for this round.

Summary

Leonard received 5 votes and scores 3 points
Bowie received 4 votes and scores 2 points
Guthrie received 2 votes and scores 1 point

Leonard extends his lead following the drubbing at Portsmouth, and Lintott gets his first point on the POTS table.

Portsmouth

The consolation goal seemed to seal Leonards POTM after a poor game in Portsmouth, i was unable to attend myself and was the third game I have missed this year (Derby & Stevenage away were the others) It seem I have avoided these heavy defeats!!

Anyway back to the POTS, a vote for Lintott means he has his first points of the season albeit it is just 0.5.

Summary

Leonard received 4 votes and scores 3 points
Guthrie receives 2 votes and scores 2 points
Hondermarck & Lintott receive 1 vote and score 0.5 points each

We have a new leader of the POTS as Leonard narrowly passes Hoskins to become the new table topper, following a vote at the Shrewsbury match.

Shrewsbury

Burge scored most of your voters with most of the reasons given was that the score would have been a lot worse if not for some of his stops. Many of you also agreed with the sponsors and went for Bowie

Summary

Burge received 9 votes and scores 3 points
Bowie received 4 votes and scores 2 points
Leonard received 1 vote and scores 1 point

McGowan is certainly the in form player according to the POTS, with 10 points coming from the last 5 games, this brings him very close to breaking into the top 3 which is unchanged with Hoskins leading the pack.

Charlton

Despite scoring an own goal, his perseverance and work-rate results in McGowan being your clear Player of the match at Charlton, three other players all got a single vote  (McWilliams, Simpson & Leonard)

Summary

McGowan received 13 votes and scores 3 points
McWilliams, Simpson & Leonard all received 1 vote and score 1 point each
