I think the term is blended figure.
The one thing that I always thought was wrong with the assumptions is that there's a belief that the extra capacity would be fully utilised on day's we're at max capacity. On the rare occasion that we do sell out (and we have a few times this year), why would you assume that if you had build another 1000 seats, you'd get 1000 more spectators for that match, and not just 200 or 400 more on the day instead?

I thought Willis looked good. Some great tackles. Hoskins ability to score goals from nothing makes me a little bit more worried about our defensive side regardless of numbers inbalance in the squad, because despite Burton being very conservatively set up, they still created a few chances when we were 2-0 up that required a great stop by Thompson, and we are prone to making mistakes at the back. However, Willis seemed pretty capable in a two pairing at centreback, so I'm hoping an extended run will help alleviate that a bit.
Sowerby pretty much made the chance for the sparkling Leonard shot, two key passes in the build up to take Burton players out of it. He never plays a defence splitting pass, but he keeps it simple and that helped us be in a much better control of the midfield today.

Embarassing performance really, considering the terrible standard of the opposition. Heads dropped after the dodgy second.

Forget how bad League 2 football is. A big man to hoof it to and some pressing. Barrow are awful. But even then, if it wasnt for some non league defending we'd be behind.

Means overall right now that Jon is underperforming per budget, but he overachieved for two entire seasons prior, so being a few places below it isn't the end of the world.
We're 16th in home attendances, so 18th in budget seems pretty reasonable to what we deserve.
I guess the main issue is that I imagine Hylton, Fox, Maglorie and Guthrie are taking a fair chunk of it which can't be utilised at the moment, (Hylton especially, if we survive in League 1 this year that's a League 1 quality striker we could go out and get just from the wages freeing up) and while he deserves every penny over the last two years I bet Hoskins new contract wasn't cheap.

I think two seasons of 80 points in League 2 shows that Brady can get results over a consistent period of time when we go back down next year. In this league, we'll be in the bottom 4 for wages I'd imagine, maybe a couple of teams above us not far above, but realistically, anything other then relegation is overachieving. Not that it's impossible to do, but it requires a bit of luck to achieve. We were going to have a bad set of results, I don't think we have the wages who would allow anyone better than Brady to make much difference, and I'd rather reward the loyalty shown from having two good seasons by sticking by him, relegation or not.

I also don't think its the worst squad we've had in League one, I dont thinks it even as bad as the last squad we've had in League one. We've got the only player whos scored 20 goals in the League in my lifetime in 35 years, and maybe the best centreback I think we've ever had.
Also don't think Brady could do what Evans did, i think we even went head to head for McNeil as a target and lost out because the wages arent there.
It could definitely be more balanced, but avoiding relegation would be over acheiving per budget. The issue with League 2 is a 6th of the league get relegated.

There's teams losing 2-3 million a year in the bottom two Leagues, being worth 25 million isnt going to last long, even assuming thats all liquid cash and not something like property or company stock value, and that they don't want to use some of their money to live their life.
Bristol Rovers owners are worth around £400m and even they aren't able to afford to buy their way to victory like a Man City.

Yep, and we can do out perform our budget on occasion. I don't think any of its untrue, its just that there isn't a solution to not having any money, so moaning about it is a waste of your breath.

It'll be in the bottom top 4 for almost certain. Nothing anyone can do about it, and the difference between that and the 5 or 6 directly above wouldnt be insurmountable.
Rovers budget would be 1.5x - 2x ours I guess.

They are the divisions lowest scorers with just 4 goals from 10 games, failing to score in 7 and have kept 3 clean sheets.
This was a great preview and I don't want to nitpick, but haven't Cheltenham very famously not scored a goal all season? (Shrewbury are the second worst).
