Tough to say today, a lot of good performances I thought.
Phillips overall for me although I thought Diamond, Nyatanga, Taylor and Williams also had very good games (and I think O'Toole would have been a contender had his equaliser not been contentiously disallowed also)

One reason I don't understand the argument for not having more seats is that we currently have the 3rd smallest stadium in League One - only ahead of Wimbledon (literally playing at a non-league stadium) and Fleetwood (a proper 'non-league' club).
Doesn't this imply that we have less ambition than the likes of Oldham, Rochdale and Bury? Especially being based in the middle of the country where large away followings can be expected from a lot of League One clubs (and virtually all Championship clubs).
Just think of our own away support. We could potentially have sold out a 'Sixfields allocation' at Sheff Utd, Charlton, Walsall, Coventry, Peterborough and a few others this season. It's reasonable to expect these clubs to 'return the favour'.

Big match tonight - port vale at home to Shrewsbury, I assume we would want a draw?
Hard to say I think. An away win maintains the (psychologically) huge gap between the bottom four and the rest. A home win properly drags Shrewsbury into it (potentially) A draw is a kind of mixture of the two, but I'm honestly not sure if it's "preferable" to the other two outcomes. From a selfish point of view I'd prefer Vale to stay up, I think it's a better away day than Shrewsbury and, being confident we will now survive, that's what I'm gonna be rooting for.

Also totally agree. Thought Sheffield United looked decent when we played them (but it was an away game when we were in poor form, and they're running away with the league).
No other teams have particularly impressed me but I'm quite glad about this because it means we have more of an opportunity to push on if we can get a decent squad together. There's nothing to fear from this league whatsoever. I do think Plymouth and Portsmouth will make the division a lot more competitive next season if they do come up though, I can't see them struggling at this level with the momentum of promotion behind them.

Were you not at Newcastle, Sunderland or Anfield (regarding best stadiums)?
Unfortunately not. Almost invariably go by train to away games so Tuesday nights are particularly difficult. Will forever regret missing Liverpool though.

I'll be attending this one. Living in Lancaster at the minute so just 40 minutes on the train straight to the stadium. Might stop off in Bolton en route if there are any drink outlets people would strongly recommend?
Not holding out particularly high hopes for a good result, but should be a good atmosphere at least. Possible the most impressive club stadium I'll have seen Cobblers play at (Leicester and Sheff Utd the other contenders).

From Port Vale's forum: Their local radio bloke was a lunatic. He spent all night thinking that Hooper was Shodipo and vice versa. Consequently when Shodipo was subbed he told his audience that Hooper had gone off which led to total confusion whe JJ scored! Absolutely correct as well, Hooper scored after he'd "gone off"

Oxford game seems very winnable to me. By all accounts tonight they looked fatigued and with one eye on Wembley already! Appleton implied in his post-match interview that their season is basically over, which seems strange considering they looked to have a real shot at the play-offs. Think that game will come down to who's more "up for it" - hopefully us.
I think five points from five would be a respectable return.

Plymouth now 10 points clear of 4th place in League Two, nine games to go.
I know they bottle promotion every year but it seems unlikely from their current position.

Great result today. So glad Rico was taken off penalty duty, genuinely had a feeling of dread when it was given. Fair play to him for accepting Edinburgh's decision to let Taylor take it

Rotherham now 21 points from safety with 27 to play for and it's just a matter of time until they're mathematically confirmed as being a League One side for next season.
Realistically it would be a huge shock if any of the current midtable sides - Cobblers, Wimbledon, Charlton, Rochdale and Peterborough - weren't also playing in this league next campaign.
Doncaster 14 points clear of 4th with 30 points to play for in League Two, virtually promoted.
